Anyone attempting it?

I know I am, won't make it though. I'm aiming for the 20,000 word mark with school and all, but if I can do more than that, great.

It sounded like fun, and I haven't written in forever.

I can give it a shot even though I sort of have a head start.

This is the first I have heard of this.

I've not even heard of it, but 20,000 words will be difficult for me. My stories tend to go much, much longer, and I tend not to finish them at all. So it'd either be too short, but passing good, or too long and unfinished.

Good luck to those who do it (whatever 'it' is).

--------------------

Last night I dreamt,
That you were by my side.
Your arms circled me,
And you were looking into my eyes.
You said all the things,
That you used to say...
Promising you'd always be there,
That you'd never go away.
Your lips brushed mine,
And it felt so real.
Things were finally back to normal...
I was as happy as I used to feel.
Then, the dream faded,
And I was alone and cold in my bed,
Trying to hold onto the dream...
To remember everything that you said.
But it was no use,
Forgetting was like dying.
And I realized as I felt my damp cheeks,
In my sleep, I had been crying.
But just like every other time,
I had that sad, sweet dream,
There was one image I didn't forget,
And never will it seems.
The image of your loving eyes,
Shining clear and bright,
The eyes that used to convince me,
That everything would be alright.

Snackman did this (God Bless him.)

I would do it, but I do not think I could pump out that long of a story with School and my Volunteer work going on as well. Props to those who attempt this.

www.nanowrimo.org

This is the official site, and the aim is to write a 50,000 book (Or you can just write the first 50,000 words of a book) in the month of November. I've estimated if I do about 2 thousand words a day, I can finish it. And if it was decent, possibly spend the next 2-3 years revising it in the vain hope of turning it into a book of some sorts.

Yea, this seems like something to give inspiration to actual writers. Not Part Time people.

Still gonna give it my best.

Just passed the 10,000 word mark. I'm quite a bit behind, but hopefully I can catch it up.

If anyone else is doing this, how are they going?

It's 50,000 words, kids, not 20,000.

I'm not doing it.
I kind of forgot about it after reading this topic until today, when I read about in the newspaper, and, well, F*** that. I'm not writing 50,000 words in two weeks.

I know. I said my goal was 20,000 because I didn't think I would be able to make the full 50,000.

I'm now thinking about that differently. I just passed the 20,000 word mark, and I'm a bit behind, though I can catch it up. I have new hope that I will be able to finish it.
