wow this is an old bump.
i rang them later that month and sent it in and got it repaired for free.
i later found out on the net that M$ has a 3 year warranty for RROD failure.
its not a HDD failure, it is related to how the unit heats up too much and then it doesn't cool down evenly causing the mobo to warp and the connections to snap etc.
but im over my 360 anyway games are far too expensive and there is hardly anything good coming out recently. also the disc drive is starting to fuck up and not eject when you press it the first time.
and im saving up about 1800 for a new gaming pc, and with pcs games are $10 from the market
. 2 months outside of my 12mth warranty (i was a tight ass n didnt buy the 2 yr extension). now its costing me over $100 to send it away n get it fixed. should i send it away or just buy a new one for $500 and get the extended guarentee on that? or buy a wii or sumthing. or a ps3 for $700
