Compared to many of the landlocked estates, this place has a large bay along one side of it. Freshwater plants grow abundant in the sandy soil, although some have razor edges and must be avoided by mortals. While there is very little as far as nighttime shelter goes, the bay is safe to play and swim in as its rather shallow. A couple embankments from high-tides offer some shade and shelter from the elements, but the dunes must be sought out in times of high waters.

The name describes the majority of the landscape. Next to a now dormant volcano, this land is still recovering from the last eruption. The trees that still stand are blackened, and ash pollutes the air. The grasses are just beginning to peek through the charcoal covered earth, so forage is somewhat difficult but still possible. Many of the springs are also tainted with sulfur so they must be tested before they are drunk. They can be especially harmfully to mares in or with foal.

Being a semiarid desert, the foliage in the area provides protection in a hazardous environment. While some of the plants are easily edible, some of the plants smell rank but can be very nutritious during a dry spell. The summers here are moderately long and dry, and the winters normally bring low concentrations of rainfall. Besides the small pools that form during the rainy season, there is a single small oasis to sustain its inhabitants.

A peaceful place of shadows and serenity. A large circular meadow ringed by trees is all this small terra really amounts to. Roughly an acre in diameter, it can host only a small herd. Almost as an alter to the moon, there is a small crescent shaped pool in the exact center of the meadow. However, for all it's beauty the grass is stale and bitter. Small white flowers that grow at the forests edge are poisonous in any but the smallest quantity.

This is a valley of lush grass. It stretches on for a good while in all directions. After that it extends into hills. There is a large river running through the middle of the land. The water is clean, clear, and refreshing. Forests cover a good portion of the northern area. Many horses flock here because of the beauty and shade. The southern area is mostly lush grass, and a few large trees spread out upon the land. In the western area, the vegetation is lively. In the eastern area, there are few caves for the hide-aways that many need. At late night, the stars shine brighter than the moon. Beautiful sights are discovered here.

A wide open plain sprawls for miles shining in gold, its edges are surrounded by forest's. The grass is tall and dry here, with nowhere to hide or be hidden. Two lone tree stand in the lands, great big leafy branches provide shade and a bit of shelter from the elements. The sole water source cuts the land in half, a small stream that runs through the center, maybe three feet wide and a foot deep. There are times in the summer when it almost runs dry and the residence have to leave the lands to find water. The only relief from the heat comes in the winter, when the plains are swept bare and ice frosts the ground. With no protection, icy wind easily cuts though the land. You must be tough to survive the temperatures here. In the spring though, the meadows bloom, spots of color peek though the golden of the grasses and the lands are beautiful again.
