Towering several hundred feet above the ground, several metal machines had been unleashed by the government to exterminate certain individuals who possessed superhuman powers. These mechanical monsters had been created by the Department of Homeland Security and released when they could no longer be controlled by their creators. The terrible titans were made up of very strong and durable metals, making it impossible to harm them by any conventional or ordinary means. Police officers had tried to stop them but failed in their attempt; the military was called in to aid in protecting the cities but even their powerful weapons could not harm the gargantuan giants. The cities invaded had been locked down in order to protect their inhabitants but that did not stop the towering titans from wrecking havoc upon the unprotected urban settings. To further their destructive capability, the metal monsters carried impressive weapons such as flamethrowers, machine guns, and energy-projecting cannons. As they rampaged across the city, they searched for any signs of superhuman beings with the aim of annihilating them and ending their existence once and for all.

The grounds and roads of Gotham trembled with fear and destruction as the large foot of the giant robot landed its robotic limb amongst the sanctified area of Gotham City. Although the city was guarded by the infamous Dark Knight, Batman, the programmed robot had no mind or fear of its own for it only had one thing programmed to its circuits: destroyed all hostile units. As it continued to raze down buildings of Gotham and crush anything in its path, the billionaire Bruce Wayne was aware of its presence. Snickering at the robots, he knew that he shouldn’t have trusted the Government with technology such as this. ”I’d trust the experiment to fail at something this simple.” the crude billionaire muttered before he changed into his Bat-suit. Armed with his utility belt, he was confident that victory could not be assured by himself. Instead he decided to roll out one of his many vehicles. Entering the cockpit of the Batwing, he was sure that this transport of his would enable him to soar across the humble skies of Gotham allowing him a certain degree.
Launching from his cave, the Batwing soared higher and higher into the sky and when it reached a certain altitude; he paused its acceleration and continued to travel at a constant velocity. Observing an overview of the dark city, the caped crusader had his systems flickering on and off trying to check its systems and fuel supply. However, the giant metallic beast was before his eyes and this allowed the Batman to decide to challenge his enemy. Passing by the machine’s head, he reached to the back of the body before turning 180 degrees. Approaching towards the machine, he had established a firm lock on the back of the beast before he let loose a volley of live ammunition sprayed from his machine gun. Hopefully, it packed enough weight to deal sufficient amount of damage in order to stop its havoc and chaos.

The metal monster had wrecked havoc successfully across the once-peaceful urban setting. Gotham City was now in grave danger and was desperately searching for somebody to protect it. When the Dark Knight had arrived on the scene, the metal giant had detected hostile enemy forces and commenced on its counterattack right away. The Batwing had been something resembling a fighter jet so it was easy to register as a bogey. When its machine gun fired away at the government super-weapon, it was discovered that ordinary firepower could not lay waste to its impenetrable armor. "Target acquired. Positioning for attack," the towering titan announced before turning itself towards the impending danger. It started towards the airborne fury and stopped when it had reached firing range. Its left hand was raised and a compartment was opened to reveal a vast array of missiles. At least five of them had been fired away at the flying automobile, racing at high velocities towards the danger. They had all been heat-seeking missiles; evasive actions would not be enough for the caped crusader. He would need to go about surviving some other new way.

Soaring around the dark cloudy sky, the Batwing was crossing paths with the titan and although the distance was quite short, he was aware that any wrong move would cost him his life. The Dark Knight turned his joystick to the side, allowing the automobile to swing in one direction. However, although his array of machine bullets were rejected upon every part of the body, the superhero realised that this proved to be more of a challenge. ”Looks like I have to get serious…” the caped crusader stated as he sailed around the giant titan. However, missiles could be detected from his radar and they were closing in quick. Detecting at least five missiles, he knew that in order to survive this raid was to either shoot the missiles down or to abandon his ship. Understanding that his skills as a pilot was sufficient enough to evade the missiles, the Batman decided to test his luck. Bruce twisted the controls to the side, allowing him to swerve evenly, gliding amongst the calm wind. Facing two missiles, he established a firm lock and let loose several shells from his machine gun. Instantly the missiles exploded and a small shrapnel cloud was formed. Passing by it, the Batwing emerged to find the rest of the missiles closing in.
Cursing the situation, he knew that he had to evade them. But with his aircraft’s weaponry analysis scan, he concluded that he was being hunted by heat seeking missiles. As the missiles continued to try catch his back, he weaved through several semi-destroyed buildings and with luck, several missiles managed to impact upon the buildings rather the machine itself. However, one missile managed to get past it and strike the Batwing by its left wing, crippling its flight capabilities. Losing control of the aircraft, the caped crusader designated a rooftop and assigned it to his landing pad. Crashing landing heavily upon the rooftop, a minor explosion erupted. But that explosion didn’t affect the cockpit of the automobile, hence the life of the superhero was ensured. Stepping out of the Batwing, the Dark Knight began to reassess the possibilities of victory as he needed to get close in order to deliver his power strike.

Diana had seen the explosion as the missile hit the Batwing. In Gotham to see how other American cities were Diana was in her Diana Prince guise, dressed as much like a typical American woman as she could manage. Taking off, still wearing her street clothes, she tried to reach the Batwing before it crashed but the pilot already had control of the aircraft and had guided it down to a landing. Coming to ground herself Diana touched down just as Batman climbed out of the cockpit, "Are you injured?"
The man who climbed out of the jet was unlike any that she had seen. Dressed all in black with a cape of some kind he was clearly not part of the military or a regular pilot. However he also was not quite like Clark in that while it was clear he was a vigilante he seemed to be making more of an effort to disguise himself.

Once the Batwing had been shot down from the sky, the metal monster no longer targeted the caped crusader because he had not yet attacked the beast. The fiery explosion suggested that the fighter jet had crashed and was no longer operating, leaving the terrible titan free to continue on its rampage. However, before it could go about wrecking the city anymore, another person had arrived on the scene and was revealed to have superhuman powers. The relentless robot turned back around and faced the caped crusader and his new accomplice. "Target acquired," it announced. Its right forearm was raised to reveal a machine gun which came out of a concealed compartment. The weapon targeted Wonder Woman and opened fire once a lock had been acquired. The weapon fired metal bullets at high speeds across the distance at the superhuman being. Meanwhile, it seemed that Batman had not been able to fight anymore. The rampaging robot did not regard the Dark Knight as an adversary, however, because he did not possess any supernatural powers that marked him as a superhuman being, thus, leaving him safe for the moment.

Climbing out of the Batwing with little injuries, he broke open the door and stepped outside with a hand across his chest easing the pain that the impact of the crash had caused. Stepping upwards, he shook his head as he left his world of illusions and looked out to the dark world. The Titan was still terrorising the city and the Dark Knight was desperate to take it down no matter the costs. However, the moment he stepped outside, he was accompanied by an ordinary woman. Despite her looks at trying to be American, she emitted an aura that simply made the Dark Knight doubt her abilities. ”Who are you? This isn’t the place for you to be hanging around kid.” the Caped Crusader declared ignoring her words of passion and care. Her attire of red, white and blue stripes was surely a true reflection of America but nevertheless, Bruce had to judge whether this woman was human or not. Judging closely at the woman, she seemed to remind him of something that happened a few months ago. Nevertheless, he assumed that this woman had powers of her own which guided her towards this place.
”I don’t know why you are here but I’m sure that since you’re here, you can lend me a helping hand.” the Dark Knight deduced whilst he stood up on his feet. Realising that without any exterior assistance, victory could not be assured, he pressed a button on the side of his utility belt. Since the woman appeared on top of this build without huffing and puffing or sweating, he concluded that this woman could probably teleport or fly in order to reach this high level place. When she told him about her powers, Bruce immediately smiled and gave her a hand gesture. ”I’ll leave it to you then.” the caped crusader ended before he leapt off the building falling down to the ground leaving the woman alone to face the scarring nature of the ammunition fired. For Batman, he landed perfectly into the seat of the Batmobile which he had called for. Securing the entrance and sealing it off, he activated the systems and with the stealth mode on, he began to drive forward approaching the gargantuan beast.

(OOC: Just for the record the only thing that Diana has said is "Are you injuried." She's not yet told him anything about her abilities, though the bit about Batman deducing that she could fly was nice.)
As Gotham's Dark Knight left the roof of the building, Diana was too distracted to pursue to see if he was indeed alright. Rather her attention was drawn to the fact that now the giant metal robot seemed to be targeting her instead of the now downed jet. Though she had little experiance with missles Diana had seen what one had done to the Batwing and so knew that her best option was going to be to avoid getting hit by one. Deflecting bullets with her bracelets were one thing, being hit by something with the explosive power that she had witnessed was quite another. However rather than re-use the same tactic that it had on the jet, the robot switched to using bullets and before she could move out of the way she was being showered by them travelling at a speed that she would previously have thought impossible.
Diana moved as quickly as she could, bringing her bands up to intercept the bits of metal and lead being hurled at her. Trying to gauge how best to deflect them, knowing that the inertia would not be able to carry the bullets back to robot itself, she tried sending the shots down into the empty street below which had already been cleared of people following the initial moments of the robotic invasion. The hail of gunfire was relentless and so rather than just stand there and act as a target Diana took off and flew towards the robot. As the bullets let up she veered to the side, removing her lasso from her belt. Making a loop with it she threw it, lassoing the robot's left arm and pulling it tight trying to throw the machine off balance or even damage it.

The machine gun did not stop shooting. Wonder Woman, however, seemed to be invincible against the hail of gunfire. The bullets bounced off of her equipment but she soon gave up protecting herself and initiated a counterattack. The machine gun continued to fire away at Diana even as the left arm was wrapped with the lasso the Amazon warrior carried. Before it could continue with its relentless attack any longer, the super-powerful woman gave a strong tug on the rope and caused the iron giant to lose its balance. It had not enough power to resist and fell forward onto its chest. It used its right arm to brace itself but remained on the ground after its crash-landing. However, although it looked like it had been defeated, the super-weapon had a long way to go before it stopped fighting. A large compartment on its back opened to reveal a gargantuan cannon which was raised and pointed at Wonder Woman. A blinding white light was produced, suggesting that it was powering up for a devastating attack. Once the loud humming had stopped, a high-frequency particle beam was fired away at the warrior princess, packing enough firepower to be compared to ten nuclear-powered weapons. If it was to hit any of the surrounding environment, everybody would have surely been doomed. It had been programmed not to use the weapon except for in the case of encountering an unbeatable adversary.

Inside his Bat-mobile, the systems flickered on and a bright blue light consumed the interior of the vehicle. Constructed from durable material that can possibly withstand several blows to its exterior, the Batmobile is efficiently Batman’s most outstanding piece of art. Its enhanced exterior design and weaponry not to mention systems allow it to be mobile around Gotham without being detected, of course, at night. Inside the vehicle, Bruce had already activated its stealth system, which switches off the vehicle’s lights and reduces the engine noise enormously, making the car extremely difficult to find in dark places. And hence for this exact situation, the playboy billionaire was able to slide through the shadows positioning him for a powerful assault. Driving past the streets at high velocities but not the point where his Batmobile reared up on its two ‘hind legs’ he soon arrived at a perfect spot in order to strike his target. Whilst he drove with absolute skill, he kept an eye out for the woman whom he had encountered before. ”Is she like Clark?” The Caped Crusader muttered within his confined vehicle as his monitor displayed the woman.
The woman dressed with the theme of America’s flag, deflected the bullets fired from the machine with relative ease which amazed the Dark Knight. Witnessing the woman swing her arms in a defensive stature, the shells repelled fell lifelessly down upon the empty streets. Following this, he saw that the woman possessed incredible strength as the weapon it used taunted enough to pull the gigantic scrap of metal to its chest. However, this only caused for more disaster. A cannon was raised and almost instantly, a blinding white flash occurred and a beam projectile was fired to the Crusader’s accomplice. ”The government seemed to have manufactured some pretty neat weaponry…even without WayneTech’s help.” the masked vigilante declared. Whilst the cannon was still raised, the detective decided to unleash his rocket launchers upon the giant barrel of the robot. Missiles exploded from their dormant positions and glided across the skies aiming to destroy the large cannon mounted on the machine. After this, the Crusader pushed on the pedals and accelerated away from his previous position.

There seemed little that could be done. If deflecting the giant robot's beam was possible, and that was a tall order even for the Amazon, it would be too hard to control where it went after her Amazonian guantlets re-directed the energy, thus endangering those nearby. Moving was the only option, with the beam passing harmlessly over the roofs of the highest buildings, but it took more time to move than simply bring her arms up in a defensive pose. Diana moved as quickly as she could, but the beam caught her legs. Pain shot through her body and she was tossed head over heels. Losing control of her flight she fell straight down towards the Gotham streets below.
Her legs most likely broken she crashed down into a back alley and lay still. Groaning she fought to hold onto conciousness and turned over, glancing up at the battle between the Batwing and the robot that was continuing in the sky above.
