Green Arrow somehow managed to stop the robot from using its enormous cannon, giving Kara some time to attack before the iron giant could notice her flying towards it. Her attack was successful and even knocked the robot down and several blocks away from the road they had been fighting on just as she had planned, but that was not enough to defeat the out of control super-weapon. She saw that her attack had managed to dent its armor but that was not enough to take down the giant robot. Something else had to be done to keep it down once and for all. Green Arrow seemed to be working on a plan to destroy the havoc-wrecking monster but Kara did not know what he was planning.

While the bow-user raced closer and closer towards the giant robot, Kara did her own thing. She flew backwards after she had made her attack. Knocking the giant robot onto its back was enough for her but when she realized that she was not the victor, Kara prepared herself to make another attack in her tattered clothing or what was left of the ripped and torn garments that revealed just a little more than she had wanted. What came next was most unexpected. The metal giant breathed fire at the flying super heroine, catching her off guard. Kara was impervious to the dangerous flames but it was different for the surroundings; they could actually be harmed by the fire being shot at the road and the objects all around the road.

Kara took a deep breath and exhaled greatly. A hurricane-like wind extinguished the fire breathed out by the giant robot, saving all of the environment and keeping Green Arrow safe while he hurried towards the super-weapon. "I hope you know what you're doing," Kara said, looking at Green Arrow like he was crazy. For a normal human being with no superpowers, Oliver was certainly brave. However, Kara started to wonder whether or it was bravery or stupidity that overwhelmed the green-wearing archer. Whichever it was, Kara left it up to him to come up with a plan to take down the giant robot while she distracted it and protected him from danger.

The fire was extinguished by Kara by blowing. She had created a wind strong enough to put out the inferno and saved Star City from certain doom but the superheroes were not allowed to celebrate right away. The robot was still standing but Green Arrow surprised it by planting on its armor dangerous charges that carried explosive firepower. Once they had all been planted, the charges exploded and rocked the iron giant until it had doubled over. Its armor had been impressive but could not stand up to an attack of that magnitude. The metal started to peel but no more prominent damage was sustained by the rampaging robot. It required a moment to return to normal operating conditions and when it finally recovered, the left arm was raised to fire its machine gun at Green Arrow who had now been standing close enough for the firing distance to be considered point-blank. Meanwhile, the cannon fixed on top of its right shoulder pointed back at Kara and after a charging period far shorter than the one it had undergone earlier, another luminous particle beam was fired at the flying superhero with enough firepower to rip a building or two in half.

Kara did not attack the giant robot after she had put out the fire because she was busy protecting the city. She decided to regret this later when the super-weapon took a shot at her and Green Arrow. Kara did not have very long to act before either one of them were harmed, so she decided to save the superhero dressed in green before defending herself from the large particle cannon. The Kryptonian girl flew in front of Green Arrow and arrived in seconds with her ridiculous speed. The bullets hit her half-covered body but could not hurt her or damage her in any way. Once the machine gun had stopped firing, Kara moved to make a counterattack but was stopped again.

The large cannon fired another particle beam at her once she was in front of Oliver. Even though it was slow and sluggish, Kara could not move away from something that she could usually dodge effortlessly. She braced herself for another devastating attack by covering her body with both of her arms but that did not do a whole lot for her. The beam still hurt a great deal and knocked her out of the air like she was a normal human being without special powers. The rest of her shirt had come off in the attack. Kara fell to the ground in front of Green Arrow, injured from the attack but still maintaining consciousness somehow. Somehow, she had survived the attack.

"That's one hell of a shot he's got," she said, grunting.

She could not move easily and could feel the pain spreading. Kara had not faced something so powerful before but even though the odds against her and Green Arrow were great, the young girl did not want to give up fighting and was determined to see the giant robot defeated. Once she had recovered from the attack, Kara was back on her feet and ready to pounce again as usual.

Whilst the Green Arrow had elevated in altitude, planting dangerous explosive devices upon the exterior of the metal giant, the moment Oliver had planted sufficient amount of explosives, he detached himself from the metallic beast and landed upon the rooftop of a nearby building. Upon landing, he grabbed a detonator and with his left thumb, he pressed the button upon it, instantly causing the metal giant to erupt in explosions and flames. However, an explosion of such magnitude was still unable to absolutely defeat the horrifying beast. Instead, the playboy billionaire witnessed the shedding of its metallic skin, indicating that its defeat was only a matter of time. Unfortunately, the machine stood back on its feet too fast, and had caught the green bandit off guard. With its machine gun, the giant began to fire its bullets upon the vigilante. Unable to retaliate quickly, Oliver simply grunted. Miraculously, the supergirl rushed in time and used herself as a living shield, defending himself from the live ammunition. However, the particle beam became active once more and fired a blast that would incinerate him. Leaping to the side, the particle beam collided with her body, sending her towards the area in front of Oliver. The crash landing caused a certain degree of shakes sending the Green Arrow off his foot.

As Oliver stood back him, he saw Kara in front of him, with smoke emitting from her skin, indicating that the beam had struck its target well. ”Hey girl, you alright?” Oliver asked as he approached the Supergirl who barely had any clothing upon her. Nevertheless, he looked up to the metal beast who was confident that it would win this battle. However, Oliver used his glasses to zoom into the chest of the beast which demonstrated the most damaged area out of the entire body. From then on, the intelligent bow-wielding bandit developed a plan. ”Missy. Focus on the chest! We need to strike the chest with one powerful blow and we might be able to knock if offline!” Oliver declared as he quickly left the injured Kryptonian because he knew that his ally would recover within seconds after the impact. As he leapt onto to another building, he grabbed yet another combustion arrow, and fired straight into the chest, hoping that it would tear more armour out of the machine and hence be susceptible to significant damage.

Green Arrow had performed an excellent maneuver. The last attack had caused the metal giant to lose its impenetrable armor, rendering it vulnerable to ensuing attacks. The following combustion arrow landing on its chest created a violent explosion. Metal fragments were scattered onto the ground from the attack. The force of the blow was so powerful that the iron giant had even stepped back in order to prevent falling over. Once it had regained its balance, the government super-weapon went back on the attack. "Positioning for attack," it declared again. It relied on the machine gun mounted on top of its left forearm to force Green Arrow into hiding by pounding the superhero with relentless gunfire while its particle cannon was charged in preparation to fire another devastating projectile at the well-protected Kryptonian. Once the loud humming had stopped, the back-mounted particle cannon folded forward and pointed at its target before releasing an enormous particle beam which ripped across the atmosphere as it raced towards Kara relentlessly, packing enough firepower level the entire city block in which the two sides had been fighting in.

Witnessing yet another arrow collide with the damaged chest of the giant proved to be quite entertaining. A loud explosion occurred and several fragments of the metal broke off from the structure, slamming against the concrete ground. With such damage, the giant was even forced to take a step back in order to regain balance. It was also because of the robot’s actions that reinforced Oliver’s judgement. ”Looks like I struck a pot of gold.” the billionaire stated before he continued to run faster and closer towards the giant. Leaping off buildings were completed as just as he was about to strike the enemy, the metallic structure decided to counterattack. Its left forearm was raised and immediately several shells spat forward aiming to either tear the Green Arrow down to force it into hiding. Instead of turning back, he continued to run forward whilst the trail of ammunition painted the area behind him into dust and rubbles. Whilst the area behind him suffered total annihilation, Oliver leapt off yet another building. As he continued to run, he noticed that the cannon on the giant swivelled and seemed to have targeted his ally.

Understanding that the Supergirl was in danger despite her limited degree of invulnerability, another blow from that cannon would be more than enough to destroy the superhero. The moment attention to him had stopped and it had changed targets, Oliver came out from hiding and with his long bow, he fired three combustion arrows straight into the chest. In hopes of catching the monster off guard, he aligned two EMP arrows and let them loose, hoping that one of the three arrows would pierce the electronics within the unit and hence deactivating the unit for a period of time, hence allowing the two super heroes to close-in and deliver their fateful blow to the machine.

Green Arrow was making good progress but even if they had enough power to take down the giant robot, it looked like it would stand back up no matter what kind of attack it was beat down with. Kara was back on her feet and got ready to attack with Oliver once he gave her the signal to move, but even then she did not know what she was going to do. She could hit it all she wanted to but that did not mean that it would work since she had already tried in the past and nothing good had come out of it. "Focus on the chest?" Kara asked. It looked like Green Arrow knew what he was doing which was more than what Kara could say for herself, so she trusted the superhero.

"Okay, let's see what you can take!" Kara shouted.

She got ready to jump into the air again but was targeted by the giant cannon again. This time, instead of staying on the ground and waiting for it to hit her, Kara flew towards it and met the attack head on. She stopped the attack but since the attack was so strong, Kara was also stopped in midair. She struggled as best as she could and finally beat the dangerous beam but was thrown back into the pavement. Smoke came off of her skin which was burned and charred, showing just how hot the attack had been.

"Now it's our turn!" She said, looking straight up at the giant robot.

Kara jumped into the air and flew towards the enormous robot with great speed. After the robot was hit by Green Arrow many times in the chest, the naked superhero used her heat vision to weaken its armor more before flying up close and personal. She raised both of her fists and plowed into the robot, trying to tear right through its armor and pass from one side of the robot and come out the other, praying that the move would be more than enough to defeat the giant super-robot.

The arrows fired by the green archer still had no effect on the giant robot but the enormous particle cannon seemed to be put on hold and the menace refrained from using it for some period of time since the arrow had hit the metal monster. The flying girl slammed into the iron giant with tremendous force. The blow was enough to knock the mechanical menace off of its feet. That, however, was not the greatest damage done. The superhuman being ripped through its once-impenetrable armor and rendered the robot powerless when it hit the pavement. However, in spite of the apparent victory, the fight was far from over. Compartments in its four limbs opened and fired eight missiles into the sky which arched back down, suggesting that the purpose of the projectiles was similar to the purpose of a shrapnel shell; a metal shell carrying a large number of smaller individual missiles and ejected at the last moment to cause greater damage. Finally, if that was not sufficient force to exterminate the whole of the city, its face compartment was opened to reveal a thermonuclear bomb which counted down from sixty.

The metallic giant fell down to the ground with a striking collapse yet the collusion caused by the Supergirl was still not strong enough to decapitate the functions of the machine. Previously, the Green Arrow had fired his technologically advanced arrows at the enemy’s chest hoping to silence its engines for a period of time, however, its enhanced features allowed it to be immune to the disability, yet its system was failing which caused the particle cannon to be inactive for a certain period of time. With the Supergirl using her heat vision against the chest of the machine, Oliver could only assume that this lady had heard his call and his plan. Whilst the machine was on the floor Oliver thought that it was their chance to strike the enemy hard when it was in a position susceptible to destruction. Jumping over to another rooftop of yet another building that still held its structure despite the continuing bombardment by the failed experiment, Oliver hoped to fire his combustion arrow straight into the chest and hence eliminate another electrical connection within the unit.

Unfortunately, the machine was prepared for such a situation and with it, counter attacked the two superheroes by activating its hidden compartments. Hatches located around the limbs of the giant flickered open vigorously and immediately missiles could be seen. Almost instantly, the missiles were ignited and blasted off from the ground, shooting up into space. As it continued to fly up, Oliver allowed his spectacles to analyse the structure of the missile. ”What were the government thinking?!” the outraged bandit declared as he retracted his bow from his left holster and reached out for two EMP arrows. Aligning them upwards, he targeted two out of the eight missiles and fired the arrows at them. He pulled out yet another three and fired them at the next three and he repeated this once more. His aim was simple: allow the arrows to strike the missiles, disabling their destructive power and hence decrease the damage it would deal to the city. ”This is dragging too long!” the green bandit complained as he continued to sweat and breath heavily due to exhaustion.

Kara and Green Arrow had finally beat down the giant robot that was wrecking the city. Even though they had won, it looked like the government's secret weapon had another secret power. Missiles were fired into the air and as soon as they reached a certain altitude, they started to fall back down towards the city. Oliver seemed to have them under control which was good because the rest of the robot body was turned into a giant nuclear bomb that was going to explode in less than sixty seconds. "Leave this to me," she said after Green Arrow had already started to deal with the falling missiles.

The super-strong girl flew towards the giant robot and crawled under it. With all of her strength, she lifted the enormous heap of metal over her head and raised it higher. "I'm going to throw this thing into space so that it can't hurt anybody else!" Kara yelled. At first, it was hard to move the robot but after she had put more power into her lifting, the giant metal thing started to move more easily. She flew off of the ground and started to rise above the city. The timer was already counting down very fast and was close to thirty seconds. Kara needed to leave the atmosphere soon if she wanted to save Star City from the huge nuclear bomb and total destruction.

She started to fly faster than sound and soon, under one minute, Kara had left the Earth and was already entering outer space. Once she was far enough away from the planet, when Kara thought that the nuclear bomb could not hurt anybody else, she let go of the robot and watched it blow up. The explosion knocked Kara back down to Earth through the burning atmosphere. She landed back on the ground just a little bit away from where Green Arrow was standing. She crashed through a building and laid on the road, injured but starting to recover.

The missiles that Green Arrow had fired at were hit and the ensuing effect that the special arrows had on electrical activity caused the dangerous projectiles to shut down and stopped them from breaking open to fire away their contents at the unprotected city. Meanwhile, the giant robot had transformed itself into a ticking time bomb and was ready to incinerate the whole of Star City in under sixty seconds. Kara, however, had taken it upon herself to dispose of the dangerous nuclear hazard and flew it into outer space where it exploded in a fiery display and knocked the Kryptonian back down to Earth with its explosive might. The city, however, remained safe and in the faraway sky, a meteor shower comprised of the metal pieces that once made up the giant robot was visible.
