General Please treat all members, be they administrators, moderators, or ordinary members that role play alongside with you, with respect. This is a very simple rule that will take you a very long way on this forum board. If you expect to be respected, then treat others how you wish to be treated, and if you wish to be treated poorly, continue to treat others with respect, otherwise, consequences will follow. Respecting other members does not include flaming, insulting, talking to with attitude or in a condescending manner, harassment (of any sort), and other actions with the intention of harming another member (including verbal offenses). These actions will not be tolerated and if you are reported as an aggressive member and it is confirmed to be true, consequences will ensue.
In addition to what was mentioned above, other rules apply that must be followed in order to guarantee that other registered members may take part on this forum board without being offended. This includes no posting of pornographic or horrific images, linking to other forum boards, websites, or web pages without permission being granted by an administrator, advertising without permission being granted by an administrator, spamming (pointless and annoying messages that are repeatedly posted), and flaming, as well as other actions that certain members may find offensive (and I'm sure if you use your brain, you will be able to keep yourself out of trouble as long as you are a member here on Identity Crisis).

Registration and Role Playing Role playing is assuming the role of another character and writing about their experiences from your perspective (or something to that extent). When you are role playing, you must (or should) be writing in past tense (i.e. he did, she was, they had). When a character speaks, their discourse is usually contained in "quotation marks". This is very common and I am sure that if you are joining this role playing forum board, you are well aware of this.
Additionally, canon characters are characters that already exist in the DC Comics universe (i.e. Superman, the Flash, Batman, etc) and registered members may claim these characters (apply for their roles) on Identity Crisis. However, if you claim a canon character role, you must be consistently active (available to role play on many occasions, often in contact, etc), you may not deviate greatly from the structure of the character (i.e. you cannot turn the Flash into a super villain), and when you claim a canon character, you only have five days to create and submit your character application page for review by an administrator or moderator. If you do not submit a finished application in that time frame, the canon character will be opened to other registered members. More details regarding claiming canon characters can be reviewed under the Registration Desk forum.
Lastly, when you register on this forum board, please register under the FULL name of your desired character, canon or original (created by yourself) (i.e. Clark Kent, Bruce Wayne, Wally West). We may change your name if there is a mistake or error, but we would like to avoid this if possible, thank you.

Absences and Other When you are going to be absent from the forum (for any period of time greater than two days), please be respectful to those you are role playing with and announce your absence in The Lounge in order to avoid delaying post rate. Announcing your absence will allow members to be aware of where you are and why you may not be responding to them under the role playing section or responding to their inbox messages. Additionally, if you have claimed a canon character (explained above) and you are absent for more than 30 days without notice, your character may be passed down to another registered member or erased for future members to replace.
Finally, anything that logic or common sense can be applied to, we expect you to already know (i.e. being polite, but because that may not be blatantly obvious to everybody, it was mentioned above).
Thank you and I hope you enjoy your stay at Identity Crisis!
