Storyline 1.0 The story begins in the small and quiet town of Smallville in the state of Kansas where a tragic meteor shower permanently changed the lives of many innocent individuals. With the catastrophe arrived a type of strange meteor rock that possessed the ability to endow individuals, who were exposed to meteor rocks for a great deal of time, with unique and special abilities. However, not all of these human beings endowed with superhuman abilities decided to use their powers for good and serve justice. Because of the repeated incidents involving meteor infected human beings in Smallville, it quickly became public knowledge outside of the small town and it did not take long for rumours regarding individuals possessing superpowers reach the busy city of Metropolis, one of the largest and wealthiest cities on the planet Earth. After the appearance of human beings with these special abilities commenced, it became a more commonly viewed sight and shortly, tragedies revolving around these particular individuals became widely renown.
Lex Luthor is a powerful billionaire in charge of LexCorp, originally an aerospace engineering firm but had gradually developed to become one of the largest, most diversified multinational corporations on the planet by growing, prospering, and absorbing scores of other smaller businesses. However, under the cover of LexCorp, Lex Luthor researches meteor infected human beings, as well as other individuals that possess or demonstrate possessing superhuman abilities in order to gain in his quest for power. Unfortunately, the corrupt billionaire does not always take into consideration "correct methods" when executing his plans for achieving this power. In spite of the consequences and negative effects his actions may have on society or others around him, Lex Luthor will not hesitate to use the most effective method to extract from these well-endowed individuals what he is in search of, leading to the founding of the secret project denominated "33.1". This project and group was created solely for the purpose of extracting these "special powers" discovered.
However, Lex Luthor is not the only concern that Metropolis currently faces for crime rates have climbed, as well. Mobsters and suits have resorted to this type of "business" in order to prosper by harming those that oppose them or stand in the way of their corporations' objectives. The Metropolis Police Department had done its best to keep at bay the many incidents involving criminals but as of late, their efforts did not seem to be enough. The justice system, flawed and far from perfect, allows criminals with ties to mobs and gangs (which are far too many as of late) to walk freely out of prison and return to the streets where they may harm innocent individuals. With organized crime becoming a problem in the busy and active city of Metropolis, casualties escalate and the level of troubles being caused for the municipal has reached its highest point on the scale by far. Armed robberies, grand-theft auto, and arson have become meager offenses in comparison to what the larger street factions are now capable of in their assembled state.
But in spite of all these tragedies and unfortunate series of events, they have managed to attract the attention of young vigilantes: heroes and heroine possessing superhuman abilities, either acquired throughout the course of their lifetime or having been born into this world being different than any other ordinary child. These young superheroes and super heroine patrol the streets of the busy and active city when moonlight falls on the dark and dampened pavements at night, watching and waiting for criminals to appear so that they may interrupt their mischievous activities. Unfortunately, superheroes and super heroine are not the only super powered individuals that have appeared. Beings possessing similar unique abilities have also surfaced but demonstrate no intention of using their special powers for good and instead, oppose the vigilantes that have appeared in order to stop the recent chain of criminal events. Because of their differences, the sides of good and evil conflict with each other, making Metropolis more dangerous now than ever.
The only question that remains is this: whose side do you belong on?
