History: Garfield was born in Africa to Marie and Mark Logan, two genetic scientists studying the genes of animals there. His early childhood from there one was a happy one, until one day he decided to waddle away from his parents and explore, unknowing that this decision would change his life forever. Garfield spend hours exploring, ignoring his parents when heard them calling out for him. He soon came across the strangest thing he'd ever seen; a green monkey eating some berries on the ground. This amazed Garfield who had seen plenty of monkeys near his families RV trailer that suited as home when they traveled, but never a green monkey. He walked toward the monkey, wanting to pet it, but the monkey seemed to have different ideas. As Garfield got closer, the monkey looked up, and upon seeing Garfield hissed which made the child back away, frightened. The monkey then pounced on him, biting him on the hand then running away.

Garfield screamed from the pain of the bite and was instantly heard by his parents, who had been looking for him. He was taken back to the RV, bandaged up and told never to go off without their notice again, thinking the worst was over. It wasn't. The next day, Garfield got sick and appeared to have a fever, but it was assumed as the flu to both his parents and they gave him some medicine, hoping his flu would go away soon. After a couple of days, they got worried when Garfield was still sick and toke him to one of the doctors in the village. The doctor told them that the monkey who had bitten him had a rare illness called Sakutia which, while could be cured for animals, couldn't for humans.

Desperate, his parents went to a serum they had been working on, trying it on Garfield in hopes to save him. The next morning when they felt Garfield jumping on their bed, they felt relived, as he had hardly gotten out of bed since he was sick. The relief soon faded when they saw his skin and hair was green. But after a while of Garfield seeming completely normal, they figured the skin and hair color change was just an effect of the serum and later figured out he could turn into animals as well. Before his parents could even really adjust to this, they got a letter from Marie's parents: they wanted to see their grandson. Marie contemplated not going, but Mark told her that they'd find out soon enough and Garfield seemed very excited about seeing his grandparents. So off they went, by boat, to America.

It started to rain after a few hours and the waters started getting rougher. Garfield seemed to be enjoying it, feeling like a ride to him. But his parents weren't so happy, knowing these were all the signs of a storm. Shier worries were right as the rain poured harder and harder and the waters got rougher and rougher. The family was soon huddled close together, Garfield now whimpering, afraid of the lightning, and his parents knew there was no way they could survive this. They then looked at their shivering, green son and realized, THEY couldn't survive, but he could. They told him to fly away to somewhere safe. At first he refused to do it but soon gave in, flying until his wings hurt and he had to stop and landed into a place unknown to him. He toke shelter in an abandoned tent as a small dog.

He awoke the next day to someone poking him with a stick. He opened his eyes and saw two men; one laughing as he poked him and the other rolling his eyes and looking annoyed. Garfield turned back into human, telling them to quit poking him. The men looked at him with wide-eyes and then whispered amongst themselves for a while then convinced Garfield they were nice and could help him. It turned out these men were thieves and forced him to steal for them. The police found about this and Garfield was then placed with his legal guardian, Nicholas Galtry.

Nicholas Galtry was a greedy man who soon realized that he could have control of Garfield's inheritance, if the boy wasn't around. Nicholas soon planned to kill him, but was soon stopped by the Doom Patrol who took Garfield in. Soon after, Garfield was adopted by Rita [Elasti-Girl] and Steve Dayton [Mento]. Steve realized the good Garfield's powers could do for the team and began training him. Garfield always thought he was too mean and harsh and Rita, who had a motherly affection for Garfield, reminded Steve time after time that Garfield was only a kid and couldn't be expected to do so much. Garfield finally left the team when he was berated for saving the Doom Patrol instead of doing what he was told and destroying a generator made by the Brotherhood of Evil.

Superpowers and Abilities

Special Abilities: Due to the serum Beast Boy's parent's gave him containing animal DNA, Beast Boy gained certain animal abilities. As a human, he has various animal instincts. He can hear much like a dog can, able to hear high pitched noises better than a human can and can hear at much farther range than a human. His sense of smell is also enhanced, able to smell things much better and has the ability to pick up certain scents as a dog would.

He also has the ability to turn into any animal he pleases. He can turn into animals much bigger and smaller than he is and even turn into animals without lims, such as a snake. As said animal, he gains all of its characteristics, able to do things such as fly as a bird, breath underwater as a fish, etc... No matter which animal he is, he remains green, making it easy to tell him apart from other animals. As an animal, he retains his memory, human intelligence and ability to speak. He can also speak to whatever animal he turns into.

Notable Weaknesses: Although he can turn into smaller things with ease, it's still difficult for him to turn into larger things, such as a T-Rex. Large things such as this takes a lot of energy and exhausts him. He also turns back into human if he's startled in animal form and though he can alter his body shape to become something such as a limbless animal, can't turn into an animal if the space is too small.

If he stays in animal form for too long, the animal instincts inside him will completely take over and he'll lose his memories and human instincts. Beast Boy is immature, a joker, thinking the best way to get though life is by jokes. Because of this, he can make jokes at inappropriate times, making it so people don't take him very seriously.

Uh, ya, sorry it toke me so long to replay...college stuff. This will sound dumb...but I can't find anywhere on the character templete for alliance. It's good, if you wanted me to say it here. Sorry, I keep seeming to make a lot of dumb mistakes :P
