My journey IDC - bilateral 06/04. 1.5 cm moderately defined (L) Stage 1 and 2.5 cm (R) well-defined Stage 1. SN clear. Bilateral lumpectomies 07/04 with HDR brachytherapy to the (L) 09/04 Arimidex Rx since 09/04.
UPDATE 09/08 - New occurrence - ILC to the (L) 1.1 cm. Again, lumpectomy and interstitual radiation (mammosite). Nodes clear. Never can say cancer is behind me - we all live with the aftermath and scars for the rest of our lives - and the threat. But, I begin each morning with a 'thank you' for the Blessings I've received and to reaffirm my faith that I'll continue cancer free and on the mission He's assigned me - to walk with others. |
