god-moding
don't do it. period. no one likes to have their character taken over and controlled like a puppet. so be polite. let people make their own choices.

mary-sues & gary-stues
no one is perfect. we do not live in a hallmark world. your character must have flaws and fears, if only a few.

registration
time for your character to be given a name. its just as well up here, i'm givin' you the creeps. register on the site with a first and last name, not with some random words and numbers.

bad: johnnyboyX7

also, you are allowed to register with middle names, but please don't. it makes the name so long... we're sure you understand.

application process
we am sure that you are eager to skip this and just get on with the rping and posting and what not, but this is a key ingredient in this recipe. please, put thought into your application and be descriptive. it will help others get to know who your character is better. there is something you must look for in the rules here that you will need on the application. have fun hunting for it!

one liners
now, coming up with inspiration can be deathly hard sometimes, we know, but please, for the sake of our sanity and the sanity of those who you post with, try and make it at least a couple paragraphs long. describe clothing, scenery, how your character is feeling, what s/he is thinking, things like that. it should lengthen the reply.

swearing
we're sure that you all have the language of angels, but still, it has to be said. We don't want someone who curses every other sentence. yes, swear words are allowed, but please, keep things somewhat clean.

pregnancy, death, etc.
this is not a soap opera folks, as much as it may seem like it. we cannot have everyone suddenly going into a coma or having a baby. obviously this is a vampire rpg, so death is going to be a part of playing, but we're generally killing npc's here, not actual members. any overly dramatic event has to be approved by an admin. just pm one of us to ask.

signatures
please, keep them a decent size. if you use icons, only two rows, and if you use a picture, make sure it isn't giant. and it has to be of your character on this board, not another. it cannot say davey havok if your character's name is brian jones. oh, and shining in the moonlight my home was very cold and something didn't feel right.

discrimination
it isn't allowed here. simple as that.

activity

see what was going on there? that's called inactivity. didn't it suck? well, it will suck for those posting with you if you suddenly just fall off the planet, so please, stay as active as you can. we don't want this lovely board to die... do we?

drugs, sex, and violence
all three of the above are allowed, but please, keep it under control. we don't want a bunch of prostitutes, crack addicts, and abusers. if your character has a thing for drugs, state so in your application. violence? sure, go give someone a bloody nose. as far as the sex goes, everyone is entitled to a little fun, just make sure to put nc-17 or r or whatever in the topic description, depending on how far and how detailed you are planning to get.

and last but not least...
have fun! it would be pointless to have this board if no fun were to come from it, so enjoy yourselves. we would really hate to kick you off, but if you don't follow these rules, we're sorry to say we will be forced to. you get two warnings, then your out.
