Simple topic, what is your most played song? (or artist)

I checked this by organizing the gons on my iPod by play count, it ended up being...
#1- Song: Eddie's Gun By: The Kooks Plays: 117 Reasoning: It's short, sweet, and to the point. When I've needed something real quick to jam to this is it, so I come back to it a lot. The Kooks in general are a very solid band. #2- Song: Ruby By: The Kaiser Chiefs Plays: 97 Reasoning: The Kaiser Chiefs are an excellent band with excellent style, and Ruby was the first and for a while the only song of theirs that I had. It's catchy! #3- Song: Henrietta By: The Fratellis Plays: 75 Reasoning: The Fratellis are often exactly what I need, and I think this song is the epitome of the fratellis sound. So upbeat it's crazy. #4- Song: The Great Escape By: We Are Scientists Plays: 71 Reasoning: My best guess is I left it playing on an infinite loop overnight or something. It's a great song and all, but I didn't expect to see it so high up. It's got a solid tune and a rockin beat, it's something good to play games to. #5- Song: Dashboard By: Modest Mouse Plays: 67 Reasoning: We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank is an album I love almost as badly as I loved Good News For People Who Love Bad News, but for a while this was the only song I had of that album so it built individual plays frequently. It's a wild ride. The remaining 20 of my iPod's top 25 played, listed in order by artist name only (with some exceptions in parenthesis): Muse (Knights of Cydonia) Ok Go (Do What You Want) Modest Mouse Orson (No Tomorrow) Arctic Monkeys (Fluorescent Adolescent) Postal Service (Such Great Heights) Fratellis Fratellis The Kooks Bloc Party (Banquet) Fratellis Keane (Is It Any Wonder?) Kooks Modest Mouse Bloc Party Kooks Muse Weezer (Island in the Sun) Modest Mouse Fratellis Honorable Mentions: Many of the Kaiser Chiefs' songs are climbing up the play counts such as The Angry Mob, Heat Dies Down, and Everyday I Love You Less and Less. Finally, the Postal services' album Give Up holds a very steady position and permanently fills an important niche in my music library. |
