Letriona Forest
The lands of Letriona are certainly one of the most lovely lands around. Tall evergreens stay green all year round, undergrowth is relatively thin. In some places vegetation is thicker than others, in which snakes tend to reside. Running through the territory is a large stream, running over large rocks and small boulders. Following the creek will lead you to grassy spots for grazing.

Avalon Plains
The Avalon Plains are smooth lands with an occasional hill covered in tall lush grasses. In fall and winter the grass tends to dry out, and sometimes will die completely. In spring wildflowers take over the lands, coloring the plains in every color you could imagine. Wander too far and the plains lead to mountain ranges, but do not cross into them, for the mountains are part of a different territory.

Riduna Beach
Riduna Beach is a tranquil area of soft white sands, the waves splashing up gently. Rarely does a hurricane ever touch these shores, but if they do they are fierce. Go up the sand dunes and you can find plenty of grass that is edible if you can stand the salty taste. Watch out for annoying sea birds, they've been known to flock against a single horse, pecking and biting to scare the intruder off. Rumor has it predators lurk in wooded areas, some carrying life threatening diseases.

Droughts are common, but the oasis waters rarely dry out completely, providing water and vegetation all year round. Nights often drop to extreme cold temperatures, and days can reach lethal heights...

Aurora Mountains
These mountain ranges are connected to the Avalon Plains, in which past leads often became allies or enemies. The mountains are not the frozen tundras most think of, just a normal rocky landscape. Though the higher up the mountain you go, the colder it gets and the higher chances of dying. Be careful of where you step, sometimes one slip can bring a full horse falling down the side. Boulders are scattered everywhere, and a hollow cave on a ledge provides safety for the herd, and a flat place to rest aside from the angle of the mountain. Vegetation grows more towards the base of the mountains, providing plenty of food.

Ancient Canyons
After walking around on a smooth grassy plains, the grass becomes rock, and a sharp drop takes the lives of many who were not paying attention to where they were going. If you pay attention though, a ledge, wide enough for one horse at a time to walk on, leads to the bottom of the rocky canyons. Hidden in the bottom of the canyon is a large pool of collected rain water. Do not drink from this pool right after a big storm, for the water needs to settle with rock and who knows what else in it. Once a day or two has passed, the water should be safe to drink so long as it is not stirred around.

Victorian Shores
The Victorian Shores are actually the shoreline of a large lake. Instead of sand like a beach, pebbles make up the shore, leading to a strip of grass before trees grow in a small wooded area. This is one of the smallest territories of the lands of Hopeless Hearts, and it's perfect for the smaller horses.

Snowdrift Glacier
Snowdrift Glacier is like a desert of ice, vegetation is rare and the freezing temperatures are harsh. In spring, ice melts to reveal vegetation. In winter, ice covers the land thickly, but mind where you step. Sometimes the ice isn't as thick as the rest, and you could fall into a gorge. If the fall doesn't kill you, starvation certainly will. Exploring the ice land, you might be able to find an icy wall the provides protection from icy wind.

Deathtrap Riverbed
This deep valley seems perfectly fine to live in, with steep rocky sides and few predators. But the Riverbed recieves it deathtrap name for a reason, for often flash floods fill the riverbed, taking everything in its path. The only escape is to find a way to sense when a flood is coming, and get out of the valley before its too late.

Dimitra Cliffs
Dimitra Cliffs is right before the lands of Deathtrap Riverbed, where bad weather is going on almost 24/7. Storms soak the ground, in which mud becomes so common it starts to kill large patches of grass. Spots of mud so thick can trap a fully grown mare, and sheets of rain fall down so heavily that you may take an unexpected trip down the cliff sides...

Exotic Mountains
Exotic Mountains, beautiful yet deadly. Unlike the mountains of the lights, these mountains are a frozen wasteland. Occasionally a cave can provide protection, but can also trap you if an avalanche causes snow to block the cave entrance. The temperatures keep most equines away from the icy lands, and those who live here must find other means of food for grass is a rare find. Only the coldest souls could possibly reside here...

Forbidden Caves
Wandering through thick vegetation of a forest you'll come across an underground cave, which has a small and narrow entrance which opens up to a slightly larger cave. Two pathways are in the back of the slightly larger cave. One leads to a water source, the other leads you deep underground where its stuffy and a bit difficult to breathe in. Rumor has it dark leads will keep stocks of mares in that stuffy cavern...

Sylveria Forest
This forest has trees that are actually spread about quite far, thick fog rolls in daily, perfect for camouflage of the local wolf pack. These wolves are the masters here, for not a sound is made while they stalk the equines. No birds are heard, the deer have all left, it seems completely abandoned aside from the pack. The only source of water is dew created from the fog gathering on leaves and rocks...It takes a brave soul to deal with this eerie landscape. And caution to the stallions. Here, mares rule over the stallions and the Queen rules over all, at least while Disaster is in charge.

Common Lands
Every herdland can somehow find a path to these common lands. Rolling hills of grass that slop down towards awatering pond. It is at these lands entire herds can meet together. Stallions can kick out three year old colts into bachelor bands. Bachelors and stallion leaders can try to snake mares away from herds. Here, there are no laws. Fighting, greeting, forming allies, it all can happen here...

Whether your blood is of horse, zebra, donkey or any other type of equine blood, you will be welcomed here. This lands have become the land of the Exiles, in which those whose darkened souls have been turned away or exiled from even the darkest of herds in Hopeless Hearts. If you are not excepted into these lands, you belong elsewhere in the lands of Hopeless Hearts. If you are denied entrance into any other lands, then you may find the life of an Exile to your liking. Only those 'darker than dark' are allowed, don't even bother with the king otherwise....
