The only thing worse than being cooped up on a sunny, summer day was being cooped up with nothing to do. Reggie was sitting upside down on the couch playing with his new chess set and peeking his eyes through the crystal pieces. His long dreads hanging and brushing the floor lightly. With all his allowance he saved up this week and last, he purchased this lovely set at a thrift store. He loved old, previously used items. Most of them had some hidden story that Reggie liked to think about and possibly make up his own.

Today was different. he held up the King to his eye and squinted the other. Everything looked disoriented through the clear shape. Disoriented like he felt. Whatever was going on in this school had him feeling a bit ansy and nervous. like at any moment the thing would strike on him and petrify! What the hell was going on? Then there was news about the Slytherins and some major divide. Reggie really didn't give a damn about the Slythreins but since when did they have such big issues in the house to actually separate them?

It was strange. Sure Ravenclaw had issues but they never felt a divide? Yes, everyone had their own little cliques and friends but as a house, he felt they were in line and equal. Perhaps the Slytherins were finding difficultly in power. they all had the need for it. They all sought it. And they would all jump over one another to get it. So maybe it wasn't such a big mystery at all. But did this have anything to do with the petrified Professor?

Thinking of the Professor was a pain to him. he wasn't real close to him but still ,he was real cool. He had spunk in him that had Reggie wanting to pay attention in class. Reggie really liked studying and yes being a Ravie he was smart, but some classes were just a bore. And the more he tried to pay attention, the more he found he could not. Why would something happen to such a person? Why?

Just as the last thought squeezed its way into his brain, Reggie dropped the chess piece to the floor as the door to the common room opened. He folded his arms over his chest and looked 'up' to the floor. The blood was rushing to his head and he was just about to feel the fuzzy feeling of passing out but he plopped himself on the carpet on the ground, looking up to his friends and smiling childishly. "You know me, Can't ever keep still." he laughed.

Tripp had been out and about. He was just getting back from a picnic with Callista. He wanted to invite Reggie, but when he got up, Reggie wasn't about to move. It was hard enough to wake him up when he was only in class! He hated that fact that Callista tended to be a morning person. Tripp was not one, but he would do anything for her. They had also gone through a walk through Hogsmeade Village.

Tripp answered the question for the stupid door. He hated doing that. He walked into the room to see Reggie flip onto the floor. Tripp raised a brow. Then, he just bursted out laughing. He doubled over and just laughed. He was pretty sure his eyeliner was smearing a bit. He didn't care. Reggie was effing hilarious!

Tripp ran over and did a summersault on the floor and plopped down next to his friend. All with a package in his hands. He smiled widely and laid his head on Reggie's chest. He got so effing sick of all the kids saying they were homo. When they grew up, they would see how stupid they were being by saying that.

He smiled and held up the package. It was a wrapped box of licorice wands and chocolate frogs. "A present from me and Callista since you were snoring too loud to hear my alarm clock and me trip over my own pants and eat dustbunnies! Dude! It was effing hilarious!" He was mad that Reggie missed that! That was probably the most proud Tripp had been of himself for a very long time! It was probably the most special thing he had done. No one was around to see it. With exams coming up, ninety percent of the house was in the library. Tripp was going to have to find time to go there sometime.

Tripp did a backwards summersault, hardly missing Reggie's head with his knee. He sat up and looked around. What a stupid day! There was nothing to do! Callista went to study too. Damn. She wasn't even taking the O.W.L.s. Oh crap! The O.W.L.s! Tripp had totally forgotten about them! "Hey, Reginaldo-Furryalmo! When are we going to study? I mean, I know, I ain't got shit to worry about. With the whole passing panic. I just wanna out do Glenda Chase. She's always trying to act like she's so cool. She's the one that was talking trash on us the other day." It took forever to calm Tripp down enough so he wouldn't hex her ass back to Florida. He was pissed. She was saying how Tripp was gay and that he was just using Callista for a cover. (Using Cali is what pissed him off most.) She was saying how Reggie was just his bitch and he didn't care about him. She was tossing out racist slurrs towards Reggie. Of course, he wouldn't fight her...especially a girl! Tripp didn't care...she looked enough like a man....

Reggie sat up just as Tripp jumped over him. He laughed at his friend and slid his head back on the floor. He was actually kinda glad that the school wasn't closing. Missing them would be hard. It was every year. Even though they always met up for summer, it still saddened hi mto think of evr leaving them for a moment. "Man! The alarm! Is that what that stupid noise was? Damn... I thought I was dreaming of a giant freakin bird squawking it's ass off at me!" he sat back up and looekd at his shoe. One lace was untied. He bent over to fix that.

"What! You brought me sumthin back? Man you. are. the best! Whoo! And candy! how'd you guess I'd love these?" he smiled and tossed a candy wand tripp's way. He never could eat without sharing since that day on the train.

He shook his head. O.W.L's were on their way and even though he knew they were going to do fine, they still needed some extra studying to do. " I know man we gotta hit the books like soon son or we'll be doing busy work over the summer![/color']" Reggie looiked over to his friend and snickered a laugh. "[color=lightblue]If i hadn't grabbed your ass by the damn pant loop you'd have hexed that chick to another planet! She's not worth getting expelled over man. and though she does look like a man, I doubt the Headmaster will take lightly to that. We'll get her though." Reggie hated fighting. But the things that girl said about Calli made his muggle born blood churn.
