Gemini had gotten herself a new journal. She felt horrible for destorying her other one. Her first documents of...him. She had cooled down since the day in the woods. Her heart wouldn't let her forget him. Her first love. Her only love, it felt like. But...he admitted to murder....how could she still love him? She had been writing about it like mad recently. It was her only solace to it all. She couldn't talk to Beck about it. She would have a fit to know that Gem was smitten by such a thing as Dante Hunters! Beck didn't even know him! If she did, she would love him as well. The other reason Gem would never let them together. Beck would steal him. She would want him! Take away her happiness! Gemini could never let that happen.

She heard a whistle "GEM! Hey! Gemi! Geminiiii!! Come down here! I need your help on some homework assignment! You promised!"

"Bloody hell! Coming, Draco!" Gem threw everything down on her bed and ran out of the room. She had promised Draco II for weeks and weeks that she would help him with his potions since Beck seemed to be busy with everything.

What she left on her bed, information left for the eyes of any body. Face open...the contents of her sacred journal.

You know they say I should really stop pining away after that boy that made me cry. I told them I stopped. You know, Beck and Sissy. I haven't. I told them that Clifton Flint was the one that broke my heart. Yeah right! He's just rich. He doesn't have the looks to compare anything to what I want. Draco's been so occupied with passing classes to even notice that I don't notice him anymore. Beck has. She's been totally pissed about it.

I've lost interest in her brother. So what. I've found someone so much better! He's sexier and richer than Draco Malfoy, Jr. And that's just the beginning vanity. He's a billion times hotter than Mark Potter. Not to mention, a trillion time better kisser. Though, my perfect man has never kissed me like Mark Potter. Potter ravished me. But this man...boy...man...whatever...just the whisp of his lips near my neck...

But this...boy...he's so sweet, sincere, and intelligent! He's never in trouble like all the other boys. Stays out of it. He's not exactly well liked and he doesn't plan to be. He had tried to open my eyes. See that Beck was bad for me. I still don't get it. She's my best friend and I wouldn't trade her for the world! I love Beck! Just as much as he loves his family. Beck and the Malfoys are the only family I really know. Its another reason I found myself out of love with Draco Jr. He's family. Not a lover.

[Beck Malfoy]

With a bag full of notes and books, Beck hauled herself over to the Slytherin girls' dorms for a night of studying. She was well stocked up on things to do between homework and making sure her brain was ahead of the class. Now she only needed a quiet place to study. The girls dorm would be empty about this hour and if not, she'd kick them all out. Besides Gem of course. But Gem has bee nacting quite suspicious. No word from Matthias either about her. He would have been sure to tell Beck, she was sure of it. But no word was good right? That meant she was being her normal self, doing all the same Gem things she normally did. Curiosity was still creeping it's way into Beck's mind as she flung open the door to the room she shared with her friend.

And curiosity was about to make her very mad at her best friend. Beck dropped all of her belongings on her bed and was fumbling through her wardrobe for a more comfortable attire. After chosing a flannel shirt that once belonged to her eldest brother, she turned ever so slowly to face Gem's side of the room. Something was ... sitting there, in the open for the world to see. Naturally as nosy as she was, she would want to see what it was. Beck doubled behind her to make sure no one was coming up the stairs. No one was, so she sat down next to the book on Gem's bed. What was this?! A diary! Beck smiled, pleased witherself for coming up when she did. A slender finger ran across the cover of the book, just touching it made her feel powerful. All the hidden secrets, everything she needed was in her grasp.

Not being able to hold back any longer, she turned it over and began to scan the page. A picture of a boy popped in front of her. Who was this gorgeous man. he seemed oddly familiar. Beck's eyes scanned the page with enthusiasm. Few select phrases caught her eye

So it was true. Gem didn't even cast a glance at Draco anymore. For what reason? Beck squinted further to read the details. She thought by the title of the entry, Perfect boy, that it had to be a Malfoy. So far it deemed her wrong...And Clifton was a lie???

Potter ravished me. But this man...boy...man...whatever...just the whisp of his lips near my neck...
Beck's eyes narrowed. POTTER?! oh she was royally pissed now. potter and Gem?? Together? Since when for starters and WHY, Oh why Merlin was she with Potter? Beck suddenly felt betrayed and she did NOT take betrayal well at all.

She licked her lips and read on, knowing perfectly wel lthat this invasion of privacy was going to cause turmoil but hell! gem kept these secrets from her!
Hunters.... Hunters?! Her eyes darted to the picture adn she was fumed. The damn wolf vampire thingy? Beck felt sick. She slammed the book closed and gripped it tight. Her eyes darted to the door. "Gem has serious explaining to do." she said through gritted teeth. Mattias as well, o he wasn't the little spy she thought. She felt tricked b yhim as well, but she would get him next.. first off, was the little slut herself!

Gem helped out Draco with some of his spells and problems. Really, the boys wasn't all that advanced. Maybe soon he would smarten up. Gem wasn't always going to be there to help him. Strange thought. Gemini wasn't going to be there to help Draco. It was always thought that Gem was going to make Draco's life easier. Take off his coat when he came in from work, serve him a little snack before dinner, and just be there. Upon leaving to head back up to the dorms, Gem caught sight of Luna Hunters, nose up in the air and glaring at everyone. Gem gulped. She was scared of her wannabe sister-in-law.

Gem made her way merrily up the stairs and into her door. She whistled to herself. She noticed Beck in the room. "Hello, my beautiful best friend." She smiled to herself and went to reach for her diary on her bed. And...it wasn't there. Gemini gasped. She turned and actually looked at Beck...Gem's precious diary in her hands.

Gem's jaw dropped. The fear entered her face as the color fled. Gem looked as if she would be sick. Felt it too. But she gulped. Gem looked up into Beck's eyes. "Its not what it looks like..."

Beck glared at gem as she walked in humming to herself without any care in the world. Did she not think beck would ever find this crap out? Did she think she could go on hiding this from her forever? Her own friend! A damn mudblood lover! And Potter! Where to begin with him! Beck's body tensed up. Hello, my beautiful best friend She sucked in a deep sharp breath. "cut the shit gem." beck held up the little diary in her hand.

"Lost something did you?" a sly smile crept to her face as she watched gem looking desperatly for the little book that held so many secrets. "What the hell Gem?" the smile disappeared as quickly as it came on. She had been betrayed by her own best friend. Not even betrayed by fondling with the Potter kid, but she was a hypocrit. "How can you sit there and down grade the mudbloods with me when here you are, my dear perfect Gem, conoodling with a Werepire?!" she tossed the book in gem's direction, just missing her blond head by inches. She waited until it made a thud on the ground before she began to speak again, rising up off her bed as she did.

"What the hell are you playing at Gem? Hm?! Do you think I will subject myself to being a dirty blood lover? OR someone who sets herself with one who loves this... mongrol? Who makes out with a POTTER?? AND likes it?!" Beck was pissed. She wasn't going to let on how hurt she actually was that Gem hid this from her so she rambled about blood and everything else to cover it up. "Did you think you could hide this from me? Afraid of what I would think are you?" she was inches from Gem now.

"You should be.My family will have no part of this!"she yelled. beck was never going to be second best to some monster! She was either Gem's bestfriend, or not there at all. And she sure as hell wasn't going to be around while Gem was running amock with that thing!

Gem wanted to cry. She couldn't let herself. Not in front of Beck. Anyone else yelling at her she would hae let the waterworks spill, but not here. Not now. Beck would think nothing of it. She would find her even more weak.

Gem didn't really know what to do though. She could take it quietly, or she could try to defend herself. Quietly meant she was totally guilty and Beck wouldn't even look at her again. That gave her a chance of losing Beck and the Malfoys altogether. But to defend herself, she had a risk of inflicting Rebeka's anger more. But Beck might have a little more respect for her.

Gem shook her head, "I told you, Beck! Its not what it looks like! I was drunk okay! I had somethings to drink. Mark Potter walked into the Rec Room. Words were spilt and he kissed me! He did it to me. I was in no state to turn away...you know me when I'm drunk...and it all happened. In the drunken state I was in, Mar--Potter's kiss was good...but I was drunk! A dog probably would have been a better kisser!"

Gem felt bad for lying. She wasn't ever drunk with Mark. It was all so heated. As the lies dripped like venom, she was hit with every hot kiss from Mark in her memory. And as everyone hit, they were all wiped away by the very instant thought of Dante. Mark meant nothing to her. That was all a bitter memory that was going to destroy her, mind body and soul.

It hit Gem. 'OR someone who sets herself with one who loves this... mongrol?' Her eyes narrowed. Gem just glared at her for a moment.

"He. Is. NO. Mongrol." she hissed lowly. "Dante is a very respectable person. He's smart and strong and independent. He's very advanced in magic. He's caring and he's fun. You have no right to judge him at all, Beck!"

She was screaming by the time she finished. Gem was shaking in rage. She had never yelled at Beck before...but she had also never felt so strongly for anyone before as she had Dante. She knew this was going to be a bitter battle, now, but Gem would do anything to defend Dante.

Beck fanned heraelf with her hand as Gem continued this quarrel. She wasn't letting down either and beck was even more pissed that she wouldn't just back the hell down! "LIES! I knew something was going on with you! I knew it! Had i known it was this deep in stupidity i wouldn't have bothered having Scout follow you!" she spilled her own little secret but she did not fear gem. It was bound to have come out. And gem couldn't be upset with her knowing she had more dark secrets than the whole school combined. "I knew I couldn't trust you! No self respecting malfoy wants to be seen in public with a blood traitor!"she hissed, turning her back on Gem. She couldn't even look at her so called friend right now.It dusguisted her. "Drunk my ass, so what! I thought even a hoe like you could stop yourself from making out with anything that had lips!"

She didn't regret anything she was saying wither. Beck was beyond reasoning with now and Gem continued on this time speaking of the beast. "Dante is respectable?! gem are you blind."She whirled around to face her again. "He is a killer! Yes ive read about their stupid abnoxious family. I know their secrets. The only reason they are in Slytherin is based on his ability to KILL!I have all the right to judge him! he is a HALFBLOOD MONSTER!" she turned on her heel again to face the wardrobe. "If he is so smart then how come he likes you?!" This had to sting Gem. it had to. But Beck dind't care right now. When she fought, she fought dirty and didn't care WHO she hurt in the process.

"Caring and fun. PSH! As if that makes a good man. You're to stupid to see that he's probably just using you anyway, Merlin knows Potter got you." on and on Beck went, downing Gem as much as she could. She felt good in the process and she knew it hurt the poor gitl. But who cared! Gem lied and hid things from Beck that could torment her own reputation.

Gem could feel it all slipping away. The popularity. The family she grew to love. The respect. Her Beck. In her mind, she could see the flashbacks of them playing around when they were kids. Was she about to lose it all? Couldn't she just apologize? Dante was just a boy. Gemini remembered when they swore never to let boys come between their friendship. How was this happening now? Had Gem been the one to screw up?

Or was it Beck being a bitch that was about to ruin them?

Gemini scowled, "He's a murderer. Yeah, I get that. What's your excuse for being a monster, Beck? Do you wanna know why I'm the only peron you can trust? Because I'm the only one that's able to put up with you and the stick up your ass! Anyone else would have spilt everyone of the secrets you would tell them if you treated them like you treat me! But I didn't do that because you're my best friend, Beck!"

Gem walked over and plopped herself down on her bed. She felt like weeping. Not crying out of rage anymore. Gemini didn't want to lose Beck. Beck had been her best friend, her only escape from the world. She couldn't see how Beck couldn't be happy for her. Gem would be happy for Beck. She would even be picking out her outfit for her date. Why couldn't Beck do the same? Was she really as wicked as she heard everyone tell her?

Gem looked up hopelessly at Beck, "Why can't you be happy for me? I love him. I found someone I could be with for my life. I don't care about what he is. Dante isn't a monster to me, he's just...Dante. Why can't you just be happy?"

Gem slammed her fist into her bed. She looked down at her legs. She was so angered. She wished she would have told Beck the truth before all this. It wouldn't go to this.

"Are you seriously going to let this destroy us? Beck, we've been friends forever...please...don't be like this..."

Why can't you be happy for me "I would be if you'd use that damn brain of yours!" she yelled. Beck was halfway to the door when she whirled around quickly to face her ex friend. "Let this come between us? Oh dear of course not. This shall never come between us... it shall end us." her eyes were slits like a cat as she looked Gem's way.

"Friends forever do not hide from each other, they do NOT go against everything my family has loathed. And they certainly do not think one will just forgive so easily. you'll pay gemini Slayne. Don't think for moment i won't go and tell the whole school about this."And she did. With that Beck slammed the door behind her

Yes this was the begin of a new era one of which Beck dind't even know just how powerful it could be. Soon causing the whole school to chose sides. Betrayal, hurt and pain was soon to spread. A smile crept upon Beck's face as she started the telling of Gem's secret life to all the toher Slytherins, including her brothers. The end is near? Or the beginning of something much worse?
