Early Morning, OPEN

[Lucy Brooks]

It was early in the morning and Hogwarts was, for the most part, still sleeping. No one was in the corridors and only two people had occupied the Library. The librarian of course, was always there, but Lucy was also in the room, wandering various shelves. She hadn't slept well that night and preferred the idea of hunting for a good book compared to another few hours of tossing and turning.

So, wandering around in the quiet, she watched the titles as she moved. Then, something broke the silence. Footsteps

[Hermione Granger]

The footsteps were those of Natalie, a Ravenclaw who spent a lot of time in the Library when she didn't know what else to do. Excitement had kept her from sleeping, and so she had decided to go read 'Hogwarts: A History.' She had come from a different section of the library, from the section which was near Ravenclaw's dormitories. Striding confidently, although struggling to stifle a yawn, she headed directly to the shelf where she could find her book. Carefully sliding it out from the bookcase, Natalie headed to the librarian's desk.

Lucy walked curiously towards the source of the sound, she placed her right hand into her pocket, she was holding her wand, just in case she needed it. She did not want to take it out in case the librarian got mad ad her for it. As she reached the end of the shelf, she spotted a girl near the librarian's desk It was Natalie, a Ravenclaw girl Lucy had seen many times but barely talked to. She smiled, taking her hand out of her pocket again, she walked up to the girl.

Turning to the sound of approaching steps, Natalie saw a first year girl in Gryffindor named Lucy. They had passed many times in the hallways between classes, but Natalie had never really gotten to talk to her. "Hi, Lucy," she said, greeting the girl with a smile. "You're up early."

Lucy looked at the girl, now that they were closer, she recognized the girl. It was Natalie, a girl she had seen in the Ravenclaw table at the Great Hall. She knew who the girl was, but she never actually talked to her before. "Um...Hello Natalie" she said returning the smile "I was just looking for reading materials"

[Hermione Granger]

"That's exactly what I was doing, too. If I can't sleep, I always come here to read something," Natalie replied. After handing her book to the librarian, she asked, "So, Lucy, what's it like being in Gryffindor?"

[Lucy Brooks]

"Wow, I guess we share the same habits" Lucy said grinning. She was mostly in the library whenever she was free. She wanted to finish all the books there before she went home for the summer holidays. "While I guess it is fun, with some pranksters and stuff like that" She said, she was not always in the common room anyway, she was always out exploring the place. "So um...how is Ravenclaw like?"

[Hermione Granger]

"Oh, it's good. There are, like, two jokesters in the entire house. Majority of the other students are always studying. I like to get out sometimes, you know?" Natalie said. After being handed her book back by the librarian, she asked, "Do you need help finding a good book? I've read almost all of them."

[Lucy Brooks]

"Yeah, I guess you would want out sometimes" Lucy said, she loved reading but she would also like to do other stuff sometimes. She watched the girl took the book from the librarian. "No I am find, I read most of the books here too, I am just looking for more books" Lucy said. It looked like it was not only Lucy that had read almost all the book in the library.

[Hermione Granger]

"Cool," Natalie replied, smiling. "Well, it was nice talking to you, Lucy, but I have to get back to the dorms before anyone wakes up and sees that I'm missing." After waving a small goodbye, Natalie turned and walked back to the Ravenclaw dorms.

"Nice meeting you too" Lucy said. "See ya!" Once Natalie was gone, Lucy return to the book shelves, she looked around for a suitable book, she took a few books and headed for back towards the library. She requested to borrow the books and once it was done, she too head for her common room.
