Okay so are any of you aware of the show Degrassi? I know this sounds like this doesn't have anything to do with HSM, but trust me it does.

Anyways did you know Vanessa Hudgens wasn't originally casted as Gabriella. Yeah it's true. They had originally casted Cassie Steele (aka Manny from Degrassi) as Gabriella. And I don't really have anything against Vanessa Hudgens, I mean she has great on screen chemistry with Zac Efron, but I would have loved to see Cassie Steele as Gabriella. She's got such a beautiful voice with such range. And a lot of people are arguing that she looks too old when in fact she's a year younger than Hudgens. Anyways I thought I'd share that with you guys because I found it interesting. It makes you wonder what HSM would've been like with a different cast.

I've never seen Degrassi, so I don't know. She's really pretty, though. But I'm glad they cast V as Gabriella. If they hadn't, her and Zac would have never met!! :o
