3DS or PSP?

3DS is $250 and the original PSP is $129... PSP seems to be the RPG king among consoles and handhelds... 3DS has about a 2 hour battery life.. PSP has long load times with its umd drive. The PSP go or the NGP, I doubt I'll ever get, because you never own the physical media, and from what I gather, no one is willing to pay for all of the games people have bought when they sell their system. So, a PSP go is worth no more than a psp go with 25 games included.
At the price point, what would most of yall consider? To me, I don't want a 3DS at all until it comes down in price. So, my personal choices are right now: PSP or No PSP.
One other thing I'm considering is a Playstation move system. I'm out of money for this month due to buying some 'have to's' but maybe within the next couple of months...

It's a letdown. I see so much potential from 3DS, but the low battery life is not helping my decision on whether or not to get one later.
I'm not big into PSP, but I do know that it has some cool titles here and there. I've seen some people play classic games on it, so I guess it handles emulation well. I can't confirm that for 3DS.
If Nintendo doesn't address the battery situation in a hurry, I may very well go with DSi XL instead, since its battery life is said to last way longer than the one on a 3DS. (up to 17 hours per charge on the lowest brightness setting?) (wikipedia, kotaku.com)
I say 'neither' is a good option for right now. I would keep an earlier DS/DSi model if I had one, since they're still supported.

I just read an article from E3 that said the 3DS sales have been at a steady decline since it came out, and now, nintendo is working on a new console called the WII U I think. It will have a large LCD screen on each controller. I think this is a disaster waiting to happen. Why? Not only is the controller huge, but can you imagine how much extra controllers are going to cost? As a 1 player system, it might be OK, but when you have to buy 2-3 extra controllers, that could be $300+... As of now, we're still paying $59 for official 360 and ps3 controllers, and they don't have any of those extra features...
The wii motion plus controller is already a dud, because only a couple games support it. If I'm understanding things correctly, the new zelda game coming out this winter will require the wii motion plus too. This is basically coming at the end of the Wii's life. I guess that won't stop nintendo. After all, they released twilight princess on the gamecube right before it went out. At least they released it on the wii too.
As of now, my choices are still PSP or nothing, but I'm leaning towards PS3's move system. Still the same console, but the move apparently breathes some new life into the ps3.

I like the rpgs on both, I would go with the psp now because the 3ds is new and you have to play catch up with the psp titles..

I finally got a chance to demo a 3DS and although the 3D was kind of unique, what I really didn't like was the loading times of the games. Not only do 3DS games take awhile to load, they say regular DS games have a 35% longer load time as well, despite having a faster cpu and ram.
I think Nintendo forgot the biggest rule of them all when they released the 3DS = 3D is always better on a larger screen. I suppose they did a good job with what they had, but the costs are still way too high. Nintendo is still announcing poor sales in the 3DS area too.
