*WARNING SPOILERS*
I was never really a comic book reader and didn't really watch any of the avengers cartoons on tv in the past, but with the releases of incredible hulk and iron man on the big screen, possibly with thor coming out next, it has peaked my interest a little further in to the series.

In this direct-to-video full-feature cartoon, released late last month I believe, the story is a bit different. This is the story of the avenger's children. After Captain America, Black Widow, Giant Man, Wasp, and Black Panther die in a battle between them and Ultron, Tony Stark then takes their kids away from danger in the Arctic and trains them for 13 years, with the exception of Barton, which was the son of Hawkeye, both of which were left for dead.

The only surviving members of the Avengers Ultron attack are: Tony Stark/Iron Man, Bruce Banner/Hulk, and the vision.

When the vision returns from spying on Ultron, about half-dead, he tells Tony Stark that Hawkeye and his son have survived.

When Tony takes Vision in to his secret underground laboratory to repair him, the kids decide to follow them, and they accidentally set off the Iron Avengers, which were basically Tony Stark's robotic creations that looked like each of the avengers. Ultron senses the disturbances and goes after Tony Stark, not before reprogramming the iron avengers to do his will.

The kids soon realize that Tony Stark is the Iron Man, when he puts on his suit and tries to defend himself and the children. Unfortunately, he gets defeated but Ultron doesn't kill him. He takes Tony to his city.

Vision's head (his body wasn't completely repaired before the attack) leads the kids in to the control center, which turns out to be a ship, and they blast off, but soon, the kids, against vision's will, decide to go to Ultron City to get Tony back.

They run across Hawkeye's son and eventually realize that Hawkeye had recently died trying to protect the few humans that were left, living in the shadows and moving around, and they eventually meet Betty, Bruce Banner's true love, and they soon find out that Bruce is hiding out in the desert.

Bruce, Betty, and Tony are all senior citizens in this movie.

So, where is Thor? Thor left the avengers after his father died and he took his place on the Asgardian throne.

Francis Barton: Son of Hawkeye

Torunn: Daughter of Thor

The movie: this was a good, refreshing movie, especially for a direct-to-video movie.

The sound: This movie has a lot better soundtrack than the justice league hd-dvd I reviewed earlier. It probably doesn't have as much discreet steering effects, but the sound quality itself is top notch, and subwoofer usage is a lot better.
