Hey, Jack and Jennifer were on when I was in college! lol And I'm not old at all. But Jack was dying all the time and J/J had Abby. They were a favorite of mine too. The show is picking up again though, you should check it out for a week or two.

I take it most of ya'll were on a soap board together. I belong to a small and friendly Days (and formerly Passions) forum. The girls who run it also run an all soaps forum and a prime time forum. We all met on a massive Days/Passions forum run by one of the leading Days/Passions websites (you might know which one I mean if you read recaps at any point). Despite the fact that the guy who runs the website is a real sweetie, that forum got too nasty (he didn't have the time to keep track of all that went on in such a large forum and there were few mods in the beginning).

Darcy, Beth and I were/are. Darcy, Joanna and I have been friends for ages. We are went to college together and/or worked together for a time. As a former GH, Days, AMC fan at different times, I stopped watching GH and AMC for good now. I personally don't/can't watch more than 1 soap at any given time. Just not enough time. I started watching Days again and stopped for reasons I won't get into(you might guess) so I am now on the OLTL bandwagon. (Love Steve and Kayla and Bo and Hope - need I say more). We'll see how long I last at OLTL. For now I am enjoying it.

Farah Fath as Mimi was one of my favorite characters on DOOL. She on OLTL now. How's she doing? What's her character like? If I were to pick up a second soap, which I'm not, it would be OLTL.

It's so funny and cool to find soap fans here on a book club forum. Most people think I'm crazy for my soap addiction.

I'm really enjoying Farah on OLTL. I always liked her on Days, and the guy she's going to be hooked up with on OLTL is one of my faves, so I'm prejudiced. biggrin.gif OLTL is my current soap of choice. They've been so excellent lately.

I'm amazed at the number of cool people I've met through my soap love, and how we find so many other things in common.

And I just have to say this: GH won the Emmy for Best Show??? WTF??? angry.gif

I think I may commit Harey Carey. Are you kidding me, General Hospital? That show is a pit of darkness and bleak horror. And the storytelling is just awful. I think I would watch a test pattern on TV over that show. There is no justice. I guess any chances of me going back to watching it is slim to none. The writers probably think they are set for life now.

Disturbing, isn't it? And I said that too - we're NEVER going to see the end of those sucky showrunners.

I was never a big soap fan but I honestly don't think those awards mean much. I have seen many films I like that critics and awards shows pan and vice versa. Maybe in means more in the soap industry I don't know.
