*tip toes in*

Hello. smile.gif

I know a few of you from around the internet. Been kicked off sites with some of you, too. *whistles*

Oh lord do I have to say my age? Well I'm fully grown, lets put it that way. I have some rug rats. One of which is taller than me. And I also have a dog who I'm quite fond of. And a cat....who hurts me.

Looking forward to talking books and having fun with some nice ladies.

Thanks Kate and Darcy for making such a lovely site.

~Lori

Welcome. Someday I'll have to tell you about my 'voluntary' expulsion from a certain site. Darcy knows the story.

Ok I'll tell you I was registered at a site as was a friend of mine. I rarely posted on it, practically never. Well she posted on a semi regular basis and one of her posts, although not bad or cotroversial, bothered a few of the more fanatical site members who then posted in response, attacxing not only her but an entire group of posters. This is not uncommon if not for the fact that the moderator on the site also posted a response attacking her position. Once that happened she was very hurt. I suggested she leave the site and that I would too. I then proceeded to delete the few posts I made on the site and PM'd the moderator outlinng my disappointment in the mods position, who is supposed to be unbiased.. I then asked that all trace of my participation on the site be removed including removing of my id. End of story without getting into specifics.

Kate

Unfortunately, this kind of stuff does seem to happen more than it should, especially on large forums.

If this is the site I'm thinking of, Kate, you and Darcy are much better off! biggrin.gif

You got it Beth and it was neither Kate or I who were the one attacked. It was someone who was very meek and sweet and would never hurt anyone. Some people are so viscious. I was ready to go on the offensive. Kate suggested I just leave it. It ain't worth it.
