Hi

I have a 53 plate (facelift) TD4 HSE, its fitted with sat nav within the head unit. It works fine now I have had a new antenna. However the mapping is now out of date. Is it possible to get an upto date disc? I would imagine its expensive from LR, if you can even get one.

Any Ideas??

Thank You

Kelvin

From what I understand, LR have a 4 disc update for £400..... thats enough to get the latest NAVU with traffic reports cameras etc!

Hi

Thanks for the reply...........WOW thats amazing just for an update 400 pounds.
Why when the model has been completly updated they still want to charge that sort of money.

So do you have a TD4 HSE? Have you had any problems with it?

Cheers

Please can anyone confirm that the Freelander audio/sat-nav sytem CD player will also read data from a DVD.

I have seen advertised a 2009 upgrade of software and maps for Landrovers, including the Freelander on a single DVD. I would very much like to have confirmation of this being a feasible and legitimate upgrade process for a 2006 Freelander.

If this is true it would be reasonable to suppose that that it should also be able to play sound from a DVD.

Does the Navteq onboard navigation system have ANY supporters?
I bought my 06 HSE back in April. It came with the 2006-1 4 CD pack of maps for Western Europe [T1000-10649] The disks are Part Nos. T1000-10651A/B/C/D
Unfortunately CD1 which covers the UK was missing so I have not made an effort to lean about the system. Recently I tried loading one of the other disks and was very surprised to to realise that it seems to know where it is, displaying the names of places as I drive though them. This has whetted my appetite to fine out what else it can do and I would like have proof that the system is not virtually useless compared to my Tom-Tom One XL before splashing out £146 on an updated map Pack. I have sucessfully made back-ups of the disks I do have.
I would be very grateful if someone could provide me with a copy of CD1 2006-1 Part No. T1000-10651A (the Blue One).

sorry I may have been mistaken about the £400.... cant remember why that figure came to my head now. That said I do remember the cost being above a decent Tom tom or Garmin. I prefer my Garmin as it gives a lovely picture display changeable pointer and voice as well as online updates. I'll keep the onboard satnav for the GPS grid ref when off road ;)

Sorry Kelvin, I missed this post from you. I've had no problems so far and do a decent mileage. Regular oil changes help and I've got a Synergy 1 module attached. Have also started to buy Millers Sport4 diesel additive as its been recommended a few times by FL owners.

I would have to retrace my steps to find the £146 map update but I am sure that it was just that - a map update. The £400 figure may include a software update for the system but WOW! I can think of many better ways to spend £400!
