Chapter 1-1

[Elzior]

You swing the new weapons around and acidentally break a couple of vases in your room. Suddenly you hear three light taps on the heavy wooden door ...

[Elzior]

Quietly, Gene pushes the ruined vases into a corner with the flat edge of his sword before answering the door.

"What?" He says to whoever stands before him.


OOC: What kind of sword is it? A single or double edge, long or short, broad or thin? I'd rather it be a single edge broadsword (NERO!) but, w/e works...

[Elzior]

OOC: It's a fairly dull one-handed, medium length, regular width sword. Like an old Claymore ... 'cept shorter. And not too sharp either. You'll get a new one soon.

IC: You answered the door, but strangely, no one's there. A chill breeze seems to pass through you and tickle your soul as it goes. For a slip second you feel depressed enough to jump out the window and kill yourself, but another side of you is intrigued by the mystery. As you turn you see a gorgeous female figure, composed solely out of ether.
Her body peters off into a curl of smoke, and she flies in a circle around the room a couple of times before settling on your bed.
Then she begins to materialize. What was chill, blue, transparency becomes sinfully smooth bronze skin. A velvet purple gown adorns her catlike frame ... enough. Glittering gold and silver jewelry dangle from her ears, her hair, her neck. She blows you a sweet kiss that utterly mesmerizes you. But she's gone before you know it.
"Hello?" The voice startles you. At the door is a brawny man, obviously a warrior by his clothing and the broadsword strapped to his back. "The High Priest told me you woke," his voice was deep and powerful, "so I came as soon as I could." You could tell he was trying to catch his breath. "We've got some er ... training for you; may be a bit rough for a beginner but ... we've got a little problem ... down in the sewers. Come with me, there's a series of halls in the castle that leads to a secret opening in the sewers. That way, we can take them by surprise."

[Krayt]

Gene looks once more over his shoulder, just to make sure it was just a trick of the mind before turning to the brawny man and saying, "Well, let's not waste time. I gots emotional problems with sewer freaks' names written right on them." He twirls his trainer sword and allows the man to lead him to the sewer.

OOC: TERRA!

[Elzior]

OOC: sorry ... not Terra.

IC: You head around just one corner and see three lesser goblins with light armor and rusty scimitars.

OOC: A giant red exlamation mark indicates a battle. To fight, you can continue the story like you normally would, choosing from certain moves you've learned, and working them in with a semi-turn-based battle system. Figure the amount of time you have to attack your enemies before they would attack you and post what you do as a character, as simple or elaborate what you want, but be sure to indicate what basic movies you are performing. The moves will stay simple so that you can memorize them. As you are a beginner, the only moves available to you are attack, which is your most basic move, and strength. Strength is a slower move that gains momentum, but is more powerful. As your strength level increases, so does this move.

[Krayt]

OOC: Drat.
OOC2: So, any way I can learn moves like Dodge or something?

IC:

Gene stumbles back, drawing his sword as he sights the goblins. Before they can react, Gene gives a mighty roar and charges into a strong attack against the nearest foe.

[Elzior]

The goblin falls and drops his scimitar. Meanwhile the warrior takes out another goblin. The third rushes towards you ...

OOC: Yes more moves like dodge.

[Krayt]

Gene makes a normal attack against the charging Goblin to keep it at bay until he can regain his bearing.

[Elzior]

The goblin looks up at you, holding it's wounded side.

[Krayt]

While the thing's stunned, Gene drives his sword into its gut, and kicks it off his blade once it's good and dead.

OOC: That's called a FINISHING MOVE, baby.

[Elzior]

"Good job ... your quite the swordsman," says the warrior. You wipe your blades on the dead goblin's clothes and sheathe them. Meanwhile you could swear you hear the giggle of the misy lady behind you, but when you look around, she's gone. Suddenly pattering footsteps grow louder behind you.
"What are you waiting for; more goblins are coming!"
You run with the warrior down the hall, but run into the misty lady. She holds up her frosty palms and creates a barrier of ice. You turn around with the warrior to face several goblins. One of them shoots a crossbow right in his gut. He falls dead to the poisonous arrow ...

[Krayt]

Gene looks between the dead man, the goblins, and the ice barrier. So much for sexy enchantresses he thinks as he raises his wooden shield to ward of arrows as he slowly closes the distance between himself and the goblins.

OOC: Evil she-witch. How many hit points do I have?

[Elzior]

OOC: Hmmmm.... 4. Remember your other items. You have a shield (that will break cuz it's wood) but also a spear. And ... RESOURCES!!!

IC: You look at the warrior who dropped a throwing knife and a steel short sword. Then back up at the goblins. You manage to dodge an attack and narrowly escape another; you cry out as a black sword grazes your back. -1HP
Five goblins with scimitars form a circle around you, raising their weapons to attack ...

[Krayt]

Gene grabs the steel shortsword from the ground and either (depending on the rules; I need a copy!)

1. Gene spins the sword in a wide circle, trying to hit every goblin he can.

or

2. Gene jumps over the stupid creatures, trying to get some room. If he can, he'll slice one of them in mid-air; Jedi style.

[Elzior]

OOC: FINALLY you got the hint. Yes you can use any and all resources around you. I'll continue the story later....
