You know these drabble I think might eventually shift their way into making the manga I dream about and these characters can finally get out of my head.

88. Possession (Harvey Payne)

It was pretty slow goings for the fifth year graduation ball, well as slow as it could ever be for the New York International Magical Academy for Magical Life forms. There could be scene the normal events going on, the people dancing, girls on the stairs crying their eyes out after getting dumped, guys watching them like vultures waiting to catch an easy one, teachers talking to the newly graduated students about their plans for the future, parents talking to other parents, more dancing, last minuet social drama before with students because they actually have to start real life the next day, the loiter at the food and drinks table, and did I mention dancing.

Well everyone knew Lelend was Sosuke, but I had managed to get her away from the bastard and she was oddly sticking to my arm like their had been some glue attached in-between our arms...not like I minded it and she seemed rather comfortable with herself. So we worked our way around talking to all of our teachers. We had been involved in a deep conversation when she let go of my arm and started to make her way over to the balcony.

“‘Len?" I asked in confusion of lack of best friend at my side, leaving me with the vultures known as teachers and parents.

"Don't worry I'll be right back, Harvey." She said with her normal sweet smile as she made her way to the food and drinks table as she spotted Sosuke grabbing a glass of what appeared to be champagne. Making a quick change in trajectory in her walking path she made a bee line for the balcony to where Sosuke was outside drinking...probably waiting for her.

"That's great that you're going to laws school, you always did put up a good fight in my class during the debates on the different topics." complimented Professor Tepes. I wasn't paying much attention at this point. I swear there must be arrows pointing at me saying, 'All alone... All by himself' somewhere.'

Then it finally hit me,’ Wait she just ditched me to go outside with Sosuke'.

"Harvey is such a doshbag." A twisted form of Sosuke said as Lelend laughed at it.

"Yeah, he is." She agreed as she continued to laugh.

"We should make out right now." He suggested, she nods as then my imaginary vision cuts out.

'AHHHHHH!!' I mentally screemed.

"Umm if you could just excuse me for just one second, Professor." I excused myself as I scrambled over to the food table and hid behind a tree that was confidently there.

"Teenagers, always letting their little social dramas get the best of them." Professor Tepes muttered to herself.

The party was obviously in full swing. Sosuke could hear the crowd enjoying the food and drinks, air-kissing the casual acquaintances, and the normal knots chatting or laughing.

"I take it your having a ball aren't you?" Lelend said, unknowing if it was an accusation or and observation was another question in itself.

"You know these social things have never been my kind of game." Sosuke said as shook his head and turned to face her,” So what brings you out here then Miss Le Noir?"

She shifted a bit,” Well I was thinking over the whole wedding thing and...."

'And could be a good thing...right?' Harvey though.

"Uh-oh, and... what? This can't be good can it?"

"I was thinking, maybe we could hold off the wedding till...you know we've matured at bit...maybe after college." She suggested as she took a step back. It wasn't exactly a bright move to request a change in date of a wedding to the dark lord to be by a few years. "You know, date some more. I don't exactly like rushing into things you know."

"But...” He stuttered.

There was my moment to go in for the kill, 'May not win tonight but I can kill the Defour ego for the night.'

My voice was a combination of jovial and jealousy all in a weird sort of tone as I moved through the glass doors and onto the Terrance: "You sure can throw a party, Defour, I'll give you that much. Mind if I borrow Lelend again for a bit?"

Lelend moved from Sosuke to me and, with a single, swift backward glance, went inside.

"Harvey! What the hell?" She yelled and asked at the same time.

'Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine!' Was what was mentally going through my head at the moment as they pushed their way through the partiers, pausing to say a word or two here and there, until they reached a deserted table in the back of the room.

"You can not leave me on my own with these people," I said smiling, but with an edge to his voice.

"You've been part of the Atlantis team for how many years, discovered how many lost artifacts that were said to be just mere myths, assaulted by who knows what and you're worried about these guys, teachers, parents and your classmates," She said, her brow on a steady rise.

"Compared to this, I'd take the tomb of ancient what ever trying to kill me over this." I said brightly.

She just shook her head in defeat,” Harvey, Harvey, Harvey. What am I going to do with you?"

"Stay with me for the rest of the party, I hope." I suggested. She smiled
