Otaining Cool

Attention
That’s what we strive for
People who get it are “cool”

Then people try to be “cool” as well
But they just get brushed aside
Trying to be someone they’re not
They try forever and when they get it
They have to get it all over again but it’s gone
And All They did was hurt their real friends

What about the people who got pushed aside?
That stuck true to themselves
That didn’t lie
That few wanted to be with
But they had true friends
That stayed with them, for who they are
And didn’t care what people thought about them

Those are the ones that obtained “cool”
