Age
In accordance to InvisionFree's Terms of Service, all members must me at least 13 years old before joining a forum hosted by InvisionFree. By registering you are agreeing that you are 13 years of age or older. No one is permitted to join unless they are of age and will be deleted and reported to InvisionFree if someone is not of that age.

Hacking
This will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Anyone found to be hacking into someone else's account will be banned permanently and reported to InvisionFree.

Double Posting
Please, refrain from double posting if at all possible, especially during RPs and for bumping topics. There is an edit button; use it to your advantage.

Respect
No matter what the person's personal beliefs or status on the board is, you should always show respect to members and staff. This does not mean sucking up to that person or ignoring them; it means to agree to disagree and never put anyone down or call them an idiot for what they believe or thought.

Bannishment
When a member is banned, that member cannot RP at the board, will lose any status gained, and all characters, original and canon, will then be open for grabs, as well as celebrities for avatars and signatures. If you have been banned and don't know why, PM an Admin or start a thread in Suggestions & Feedback.

Status Abuse
Anyone who is a staff member or has some kind of status on the board and abuses their powers and priviliges (such as by preventing certain members from viewing or posting, changing a member's post count, deleting a member's account, etc) will immediately be stripped of all powers and pprivileges immediately and, depending on the severity of their offense, may be banned as well.

Avatars & Signatures
Avatars may be up to 150x150 pixels large and signatures may be up to 300x500 large. Celebrities should be claimed in the graphics thread; no sharing unless identical twins or you want a NPC's celebrity. Pics should not include foul swearing, drugs, or nudity.

Registering
When registering, you should register under a first and last name, preferably the one that your character will use. If you have made an error in spelling or wish to change part of your name, PM an Admin and request a name change; an e-mail and a PM will be sent to the member notifying them of the change. For this reason as well as lost password, you should register with a valid e-mail address, one that you check often (about once a week or more).

Canon Characters
Canon Characters are defined as characters mentioned in the book series. There is a canon listing, but not every canon is there; if you wish to RP a canon not listed (and who is not dead) then you may reply to that thread after your Character Profile has been submitted and accepted. If a profile has already been made and you want to claim it, then add a sample RP post as a reply; your name will be changed if it does not match that character's name, and you will be required to repost the thread anew under that name (simply copy and paste). Canon Characters must stay true to their role of the plot, and must log in and post an average of twice a week as well as participate in any plot that you volunteer for or are needed in. Extended absence of posting may cause you to lose your canon character.

Original Characters
Original characters are created by the member and are unique as well as crucial to add new flavor and interest in an RP. Original characters should log in at least once a week, and must participate in any plot that they sign up for.

Open Characters
Open characters are characters that have either been taken from the member or the member no longer wants (or has the time for). Notify the admin if you no longer want a character and do not wish to kill the character off so that it may be moved to the Character Applications thread. If you wish to have this character, simply reply to that thread with a sample post, much like with character profiles premade for canon characters. The former character will be deleted and the member who posts will have their name changed to that of the character if it is not so already.

RP Plots
There is a forum dedicated for plot information and sign-ups. All members who are interested (and even those who aren't) should check those threads in case of an important change of events. Also, before a member may RP they must submit a Character Profile. That forum is password protected to ensure that all members read the rules before creating a character; the password is: draconis. After the profile has been approved, it will be moved to Accepted Characters, and RPing may begin. Jobs should be mentioned in the character's profile, but can be edited later as long as the topic description mentions a date. Official RP Plots are optional for original characters and many of the Canon Characters; however, some characters are obligated to particpate (such as Voldemort when he goes after a family or punishes a Death Eater). Plotting between members (found in the Character Extras forum) is quite different; it may or may not affect anything at all to do with the plot and is there for members to practice RPing and to have fun as well as get to know each other better.

NPCs
Non Player Characters are played by the NPC Team; they are there to help spark interest or add drama to any RP whether or not it is official or between members. If you want to be on the NPC Team, you may apply under Staff Positions in the Classefieds forum.

Adult Themes & Conflicts
This is the deal: sex and bad language is permitted, but there are limitations. Language must be in character and never directed at a member but may be directed at a member's character. Sex, pregnancy, marriage, etc may happen, but actual sex is forbidden, mainly because minors may be joining, and because this is a friendly forum, not a porn site. Talking about it after, fading to black, insinuating what will happen is permitted, as well as making out, groping over clothing, etc., but never RP bare body parts touching. Also, death and violence will be exhibited here, so if you do not wish to read an RP without romance, violence, or drama, you will be hardpressed to find one unless you create a thread of your own without those elements and themes.
