Welcome to the world of Somnium, a world all have been to before and will most likely visit again. Somnium is a world that is connected with ours so closely that they affect each other. You see, Somnium is the world of dreams or the ethereal realm. People on Earth will glimpse through into Somnium once a night for a few minutes while they sleep and are affected by what they see.

Most people never see very far into Somnium in their sleep however, and sometimes large groups of these people view the same general area in Somnium and create a dreamsphere, which are fought over by the forces of light and dark. Whatever side controls the sphere can use them to change the face of Somnium. They can also give the bearer great powers.

While some are powerful enough to obtain or protect the orbs by themselves, they are few and far between. However, some people from Earth make their way into Somnium and have powers that have the potential of being greater than all others. They are known as dreamweavers, beings who posses the ability to create with their minds alone. However, not all of them choose to help those who wish prosperity and peace among all, and they have come to be known as the dreamphage.

Will you help the forces of light and try to protect the orbs from evil, or will you help the dark forces to take over and control Somnium? Or will you make your own path and make your own story? It is up to you to choose, and see where your choices take you and the world of Somnium.

It is up to you to decide whether you want to join in on the plot or not. The plot is used to give users a general idea of whats going on in the world, and to give them something they can participate in.
