Name That Tune, Because we need more interesting games

Since agumike created the quiz game, I began to realize I wanted to enter an advantageous field to myself. And since this tends to be a really amusing game, I decided to make a Name That Tune game. Rather simple, takes a bit more effort but it's fun nonetheless. I'll lay out what information I can.

1) If you plan on uploading then you need to know the specifications on the clip. Obviously posting the full song would be stupid, so try for a clip of under 20 seconds. You can do a lot less if you want to make it more challenging, but be prepared to give out some clues if people are having trouble. I'll tend to be nice unless I know it's obvious.

2) Now for guessing. Obviously, it's first come first serve. Though if you can name more about the song (such as artist, or specific title) then you can overpower someone's guess. So try to answer all you can. Since we'll be doing game/anime I'll only really want the specific game or anime it's from. If there is a distinguished vocal though, then you should be ready to guess an artist.

3) Don't cheat. If you see someone else guess and start researching just so you can override another guess, then that's sad. Though I know I can trust you all here.

4) If you're posting a song, then know all about it. I mean knowing it's title in English and Japanese title (just in case someone guesses the title in English and you consider it wrong because you know it only in Japanese). Also know the specific artist doing that cover, different people cover songs, so be picky. If it's someone else covering it then people should be able to tell. Don't do fan-made covers though, since there's little fairness in that.

5) If you guess a song correctly, you can do one of two things. That's upload one yourself or give it to someone else. I'll always be willing to do one but I know other people will run out of ideas at times. But I still want the privilege to guess sometimes too.

If you really want, I can start keeping score to make it fun. But that's completely optional.

ooo, very cool game theme indeed. but man, that song....i can't quite put my finger on it. it feels like i've heard it before or at least i've heard something similar to it but i don't recall. i'll just go on a limb and go for this answer which is from what series it is

A: Rockman/Megaman

and if i miraculously get it right, i don't know from which game nor stage it's from.

I don't know if people aren't here or don't know, but I'll call off this round.

But yep, you'd be right uragayduck and, more specifically, the Rockman 3 Opening. A personal favorite of mine I have to say but then again, most music from Rockman/Megaman seems to be that way.

So, I'll let you decide if you want to try to do one or if you'll hand it back to me.

So wait, you can't even listen to the preview of it? Technically it would make sense that it could still block the song from loading but that's taking the whole idea of no downloading really far. Technically that would mean you shouldn't be able to load pages period. But you can't just click the link and listen to it?

I never owned a Dreamcast, so I can't say I'm fully confident in answering this. But from what I have from Sega remakes on the Gamecube, it did sound quite resemblant to something I would expect from Phantasy Star. That's about the only series I could relate to it though that pops into my mind. I have absolutely no clue if I'm wrong.

yeah if you can't download it, you should be able to stream it anyways. i use opera, but i can't view the player so i used firefox instead and it was fine.

....actually, that's the japanese title (hint #4). the american one is more like this (hint # 5)

if you guys can't get it with this, then you probably don't know it at all because that's like the ultimate give away right here. well, it probably wasn't well known outside the sega community so that's understandable. it's still my favorite rpg ever though (hint #6).

Yep you got it right FeKa it's Skies of Arcadia also one of my FAVORITE games from the dreamcast!

when I first played the game the Dark Rift was a total WTF moment for me... imagine if the world really was like that.....

plus the skies of arcadia soundtrack RULES!! both of the regular battle themes kick ASS!..... the soundtrack just really brings back good old memories

Well, at least I don't feel bad as it's a game I haven't picked up before (though I've always put some thought into it).

Well assuming that Nano-Nano is correct in it being correct, it's your decision FeKa. Go ahead and make you're own, or I'll be willing to take it back for awhile. I can cycle through some anime rounds to get more people involved if you choose not to do one yourself. Only reason being I seem to be the one who shows up most often to check and update this topic.
