I thought I would start easy and work my way up...unfortunately I haven't read the Silmarillion lately so I can't think of anything else from that book. Give me some time and I'll think of something.

ok let's see here...Gandy is indeed like jesus because he dies killing the Balrog (which represents sin/satan in a way). aragorn could also be considered jesus as he leads them on their journey to destroy evil and bring people to light. Frodo's struggle to get rid of the ring is the struggle of a man trying to rid himself of sinful thoughts/actions/desires. Aragorn marrying arwen is like the unity of church and Christ (some people are skeptics of that idea). the temptation of putting the ring on when you know it will harm you is like the temptation of indulging yourself in sins that will harm you in the end, although pleasurable at the time. There's many more but I'll spare you from them for now as this is quite a bit anyway.
