I got a few hours in to FFXIII and couldn't go on. Hated that battle system and everything else.

Yeah at first I was like I don't hate it. And then I was like I like it, then got bored, then liked it again and finished it.

The next one looks much better tho, you get to have almost any enemy you faced that isn't a boss as an ally in battles.

I'm also waiting for that FF X remake.

Yeah I'd already rank this as my 3rd favourite Final Fantasy behind VII and XIII, very subversive and un-Final Fantasy which is a good thing. Stunning as you'd expect with an AMAZING soundtrack that's possibly even better than XIII's, I was really stuck on the first fight with Caius for a short while there though.

Owes a lot to Tales of Symphonia 2 though, the whole dynamic where you have one male party member, one female and a legion of monsters is ripped directly out of that game.

Hardcore, it's been confirmed X isn't a remake now. Just a normal HD remastering. Just thought you should know. :P
