Josh was the first to recover; he nudged Tamm, "Hey, stop staring!"

"Huh?!" Tamm started, then shook his head. He was too busy admiring Lisolette's swords to pay attention.
"Sorry. Er, we're," gesturing towards to both himself and the other squirrel, "Outlanders. We're not from the north or south, I mean completly off of this land. I'm Tamm, and that's Josh."

Josh rubbed his head ruefully, "We begged to go back here with another outlander, a fox who just so happens to be our Emperor, to do a simple pick-up. While he's out and about, we're stuck paying back the favor...which we're not sure how to."

They looked at each other, and shrugged.
"It happens a lot." They both say.

"Tell me, both of you," Jared said, turning to them. "Why half a gate? Why not a full gate? What's the use of half?"

[Thainen]

Tamm shrugged, "Dunno. We don't really ask questions like that; Rior'll just fill your head with nonsense if ya do. He's a pain once ya really know him, but he's still pretty cool though.

Josh agreed, "Yup. He's just about as much of a headache as Tamm is."

Tamm glared at him for a moment, then burst into laughter, "Ahaha hah, that's right!"

Josh let him laugh his self off, then once he settled down some, which took a while, he continued, "Mmm, anyway, we're not sure either, 'cept I heard it has something to do with May's birthday gift or somethin', and it's supposed to be a play-fort or-"
He caught himself, and put both paws over his mouth, "I supposed to say that!"

"Hey, I don't May like you two do, so how am I supposed to know if it's a surprise for him? I'll have to ask Rior when he comes back." Jared took some iron down from a shelf and set it down on the anvil, preparing to make another gate.

[Kiara]

Kiara smiled. "I haven't been there in a while. How is everything over there?" She asked Tamm and Josh...or which everone who would answer first.
Looking at them she turned to watch Jared work again.

"So why is this place suppose to be a secret place, anyway? If more people knew it was here, you'd get a lot more jobs..." Kiara said with a tilted head watching Jared.

"It's not the business I'm afraid of, it's vermin. I don't want any vermin ransacking this place. And now that you mention it, I don't even remember why I made this place secret." Jared placed the half-made gate into the fire.
