*Great Hall was the largest room/hall in Redwall Abbey. It had a high ceiling and was adorned with large stain-glass windows.*

Ivan paced through his beloved abbey, constantly admiring the vast tapestry that decorated the Great Hall.

Ivan was probablly the youngest Abbot to ever don the great, yet humble brown habit of the Abbot, at nearly seventeen and a half, yet still only about two-thirds as tall as everyone else, he was a respected leader.

Durring horrible accident six months ago that took the previous Abbot's life, Ivan bravely took charge and almost forced everyone out of the opressive greif that nearly brought Redwall to a complete stop.

The previous was too young to appoint a successor, so out of thanks and recognition, promoted this youngster to Abbotship.

He used to be nothing more than one of the brothers that worked in the orchard all day, never not doing enough, but never doing too much. He was perfectly fine with being absolutly 'normal'.

Although his looks- average browned toned fur and deep blue eyes- were nothing much to look at- his attitude was quite noticable!
His kindness and almost immideate friendship, as well as his being quite eccentric set him apart from the rest.

His sharp ears picked up someone walking down the hall. He didn't bother turn around, "Lucky, aren't I?"

Lisolette stopped immediately. "What do you mean, Abbot Ivan?" Lisolette blinke dat the squirrel. She always felt like she was in some part of an historical era becuase of him, sense Ivan was the youngest Abbot ever known to the Abbey.

Ivan smiled, "My dearest friend, Liso."

His smiled brightened. He'd known Lisolette ever since she'd been here.
She was a fine warrior, even if she'd come from somewere else, where that was...Ivan didn't care too much.

"I meant I'm so lucky to be here," He said reverently, "I'm blessed, I really am."
He did a little hop-skip of joy, one of his trademark things, "I can't belive it sometimes!"

Ivan frowned and wrapped his tail around him, "But, sometimes I think I don't deserve it. Whaddya think Liso?"

Friar Cook was walking down great hall when he saw Lisolette and the Abbott. He smiled and greeted them.

=Friar Cook=

IC: "Hello there Liso. Greetings, Father Abbott. You know, I was just noticing... I've got a twinge in my elbow again, and that means that it's time to start preparing for the Autumn feast... it's coming soon, I can feel it!"

The Friar explained to the two with a cheeky grin.

Jared Sandeye was exhausted. After a long day at the forge, the young squirrel was ready for a rest. He walked into Great Hall and caught the conversation of the Feast. He smiled. "I've really been looking forward to the Feast, too. But don't ask me to cook, because I can't."

Ivan shooks his head, his face a mask of sorrow, "Ah, that. Food..that's all you ever think of...is it?"

He sniffled, then shot them all a playful smile, "As if that's a bad thing!"

He spread his arms wide and twirled about, "Yes, this'll be the best one yet! Fun and food and fun for everyone! So much everyone'll be sick of it for weeks! Yes,"

Ivan raised a fist in mock seriousness, "We will have a feast fit for kings! I want tables and drink enough to stuff everyone in Mossflower thrice over-after than, the games! Ah yes, no wait, yes...no!"

He turned around with a stern expression, "Nay, we'll have the fun and games first, games enough to tire out even our champion! On the morrow, even more games, but new and fresh, different from the last. Yes!"

This was what it was like when Ivan started to get seriously ambitious. It's a wonder where he gets the energy to think up his ideas-and the ideas, anyone's guess!

Ivan nodded decidingly, "Yes! We'll play for three days in a row, as close to non-stop as we can get! It's cool, but still warm enough to even sleep outside-I'll do that! So then, everyone'll be absolutly worn out from the games, and would want nothing more to relax. Then we feast! With enough food to double our size in a day! Two days of feasting! The next, a free day!"

He dropped down to a whisper, "Everyone'll be too stuffed to do anything anyway, ha!"

Ivan grined from ear to pointy brown ear, "Well my friends, sound like a plan??"

The little Friar grinned from ear to ear like a dibbun.

=Friar Cook=

IC: "Aye, it sounds like a brilliant plan to me, Father Abbott! I had better start collecting as much as I can get from the orchard to prepare. This is gonna be a big feast!"

The Friar exclaimed with glee. And just at that moment, the doorway to the cellars opened and a furry brown snout stuck out from the open doorway.

=John Prickle=

IC: "Did I hear someone say, 'feast'?"

The cellarhog asked with a hopeful twinkle in his eye.

Jared followed the Friar outside. He chuckled at the Cellarhog. "That's right, John. We're having a Feast. The Abbot's planning it as we speak. It's gonna be a big one."

John set the baskets of produce by the kitchen, and headed into Great Hall. He grinned and waved at the Abbott.

=John Prickle=

IC: "Oh, I can hardly wait, Father Abbott... this is gonna be a good one!"

The cellarhog exclaimed, gleefully.

IC: "Are you plannin to catch another big grayling from the pond this season?"

John asked the Abbott. It had been a Redwall Abbey tradition.

Ivan smiled and spread his paws wide, "Bigger! Always bigger, always better! After all, we only get better-we don't get no worse!"

He chuckled, "Ah, of course let's not get too ambitious...remember, take too much, and there'll be nothing left for tomorrow."

He shrugged, "Perhaps...no...ah, well," He mused with his self aloud, as he often did. "Ah! Very well! Yes, we will catch the second biggest one yet-an Jared, you'll asist me, you too Lisolette!"

His childish smirk faded abruptly.
He turned around, "Hmm, I hope we'll be able to cook it once we nab it..."
Ivan then broke into a fit of giggles.

Jared walked back into the Abbey. "I'm going up to the dormitories to rest. See you all later." And with a wave of his paw, he went up the stairs and out of sight.
