Drawing a square is a very straight forward procedure but should be done with some care. To start you'll need the necessary equipment; A sharpened pencil probably a HB or 2B, paper (any size), a rubber (for those mistakes your probably gonna make) a ruler, a drawing pin, and a wall (you'll find out why later)

Ok, step 1: Take the pencil in your preffered hand (probably the right like the other 99.9% of the world) Right depending how big and how many squares you want it usually best to start in the top left of the paper. Place the pencil quite firmly but not to hard on the paper, and with your other hand take the ruler and place it just below the pencil so that it's touching. Position the ruler so that it's going roughly parrallel to the edge of the paper.

Step 2: With your steady hand (I should mention you fail at arting if you don't have a ateady hand) move the pencil along the paper and the ruler (the trick is to gently push the pencil against the ruler while moving it off to the right) and stop when you think it's a good size.

Step 3: Now we're basically repeating the above steps, turn your ruler exactly 90 decrees to the right so that it is now vertical (you suck if you can't do this) and move the pencil down the way exactly the same length as the first line (if you are unsure of the length, measure it, it's another wonderful use of a ruler that may come in handy in the future)

Step 4: Repeat above steps a further 2 times turning the ruler exactly 90 degrees each time. If done correctly congradulations, you now have a perfect square! If not rub it out and start again (practice makes perfect) Optional: take a coloured pencil and colour it in

Step 5: (Note, you may need parental consent for this step, I nor DragonNation take any responsibility for any injuries caused from using this guide) Take the drawing pin, and place it in the centre of the top edge of the paper (but not on the edge, about 2 cm below) now, take it to the wall and stick the pin into the wall. And now you have a lovely picture of a square on your wall.

I hope you found my guide mildly usful and I require $100 for reading the above :) Have a nice day, and watch out for more of my tutorials.
