Shattered. Many things shatter; glass, fine china, dreams, and escape plans. Hopeless now Leena turned to meet his eyes. Grimacing at the thought of what he was going to do to her she cowered as a rough hand grabbed her arm with gruff force. He was furious, and who wouldn't be. Leena was still taken aback at the amount of pain he could take. Those heels could kill an ant in the corner they were so sharp, she was amazed he was still standing let alone thinking properly. Sighing Leena figured that it was just her luck that she would get this guy to chase after her who had balls of steel. Leena felt a pull so hard she thought her arm was being torn from her body, soon she was surrounded by a massive body. She heard his words, still she struggled with all her power. That only got him more annoyed. Whirling around Leena felt her body turn, scenery flashed through her eyes like a blur. Facing him Leena held her poisonous expression.
Looking into mystery man's eyes Leena finally found a hint of emotion. Amusement. What?! Who does this guy think he is!? Fury built inside her body, Leena couldn't stand it anymore, but apparently he was just getting warmed up. Soon Leena was nothing more than a piece of property slung over his shoulders. All dignity slid out from Leena's being, as her annoyance fed her fury. All of sudden she felt herself falling. Letting out a small squeal Leena covered her face with her hands to protect herself. Then, the falling sensation stopped. Whipping her head around Leena glared at him even though he was unaware of her gaze. She heard faint speech, craning her head to listen she tried to make out each word. Leena caught a few here are there, but she was refusing to respond to him anyway. Although, it didn't seem like he was talking to her. Man this guy is deranged.
I had given up all hope of getting out of his grasp, it was impossible, it was like the guy was built of metal or something. However, just as Leena was about to give up all hope she slid off of his shoulders. Meeting his eyes again Leena searched for another emotion, but his persistent amusement was still there, mocking her. Leena tore her gaze away from him realizing where they were. At the edge of the docks if Leena took one more step she would be over the railing and into the icy waters. Glancing back at the man Leena's face contorted with apprehension and disbelief, he wasn't really going to do this was he? Apparently he was. Feeling a hard shove Leena free fell into the black abyss of the ocean.
It was the middle of October, and it was freezing. Leena's body hit the water with a smack and soon her whole body was submerged in the murky liquid. Thrashing her limbs fervently Leena didn't know which was was up. She was either drowning herself, or saving her life. Thankfully for her it was the second. Breaking the surface Leena gasped for breath opening her eyes for the first time. Makeup ran into her eyes making them burn. Blinking Leena darted her head around looking for shore. Finally she saw a route to land. Unbenounced to her little friend up there, Leena was a class A swimmer. Kicking and paddling Leena soon made it to the rocky beach. Chest heaving she looked up but couldn't see her kidnapper. The girl didn't waste any time, taking off her now drenched high heels Leena ran for it. After a while she arrived to a small town, looking over her shoulder Leena didn't see a soul. She was safe......for now.

Just before I dropped her into the ocean, the look she gave me was poisonous. If looks could kill, I’d be maimed and hung in a matter of seconds. But, I still let her go into the ocean. She landed with a splash, and for a few seconds, it seemed as if she wasn’t able to swim. I had almost started to take off my coat when she resurfaced. Good news was, she could swim. Bad news: she was a very good swimmer. As soon as she spotted shore she started swimming away. ”Damnit!” My voice rung out over the storm. My hand went out to hit the nearest thing, a wooden box, and I smashed a hole in it. Looking over at my bleeding hand, I looked back up at the cloudy sky. ”She can swim? I shouted. Something resembling laughter echoed back at me. Stalking over to the silver Volvo, I realized I’d have to report all of this back to Macrebe.
I flung the car door open, got in, and slammed it shut behind me. Stabbing my keys into the ignition, I turned the heat on high and felt the dry air blowing into my face. Pulling out my cell phone, I dialed the number for Macrebe. I had no speed dial and had to memorize all the phone numbers neccisary so if I lost the phone no one would be able to get anything from it. It rang twice, than a raspy voice said, “Hello?”
”Sir,” I started. ”This is Antonio de Luca calling.” I looked out the window while I spoke, my head resting against the head rest. Man, would I get it when I got back to the mansion to give him the full report. I sighed.
“Ah, Toni, m’boy, I was waiting for your call. I take it Renshaw is dead?” Macrebe’s voice warmed up immediately when he knew I was calling. Damn this was gonna hurt.
”Yessir, he’s been taken care of. But we have another problem. We have a witness. She escaped.” My eyes closed at the end of the sentence. I already knew what to expect when I got back. I was more interested in what he would say now though.
“Toni,” his voice darkened, yet still remained in a sing-song pattern. “Toni, Toni, Toni. Out of every moron around here, I thought I could rely on you to get the job done. You know what this means?” Macrebe’s voice had lilted at the end in response to the question. ”Yessir. I’ll report to the mansion immediately.” Macrebe hung up after that. Slowly, I put away my cell phone. I put the car into gear and started to head over to the mansion. Half of me was relieved; at least the girl wouldn’t die. But the other half was raging; now I would have to pay the price for her life. Scowling, I prepared my mind for the whipping that I knew I would get when I got to the Mansion from Hell.
