DIVINE GLASS RULES.


rule one; be nice.
It speaks for itself doesn't it? Roleplaying forums aren't meant to make members feel pressured into having to post really well or pushing them to make it the best they can. Obviously, we want good posts, but we don't want people bullied into it. Another point, any ooc debates are encouraged but ooc arguments (this counts as msn convos aim etc, insulting each other or getting petty) will be dealt with accordingly.

rule two; mary and gary stues.
Mary and Gary Stus are characters perfect in nearly ever single way. They usually have names like Alexis Marian Clear-Water, or something completely abnormal. They often are un-touchable. Everyone thinks they're the butter and jam all in one. They're perfect looking, the best magic casters of the year, they get top marks without revising, whilst juggling pranks and owning a shop all at once. These are completely against the rules, and we will give you a warning if your character begins to act like it.

rule three; interacting with other characters.
In other words, this could come under godmod etc. This is basically controlling another character and making something hit them and all those types of things. Roleplaying is for each person to take a roll and adapt against each other.

BAD example;
Mary threw the pillow and it hit her.

GOOD example;
Mary gripped the pillow, and threw it hard towards her butt ugly face.

Get it? Basically it gives the other character a good chance to dodge, and makes it a good roleplay. But on this note, your char isn't invincible, they will get hit once in a while.

rule four; registration & applications
All members are required to registered with their character's first and last name. Middle names are entirely optional.

After signing up on your name, you are then required to make an application, which gives us your characters information. More rules for these will be posted in the corresponding section.

rule five; signatures and avatars.
This has become an increasing problem over various forums, it hasn't yet spread that badly to ours. Your avatar size is the maximum of 150x150. Your signature is restricted to an appropriate size and may contain text, no nudity, or anything about r rated in signatures. All must relate to the forum no 'dragon eggs' etc, this doesn't count for admin & mod root accounts, as long as the no r rating rule stays in place.

rule six; amount of chars.
Many of the members on the forum, including staff, have recently sky rocketed with the number of chars they have, so we're giving you a boundary of eight characters. Second half of secret word = ain't all that good. Sorry if this annoys any future or current members.

We're getting overwhelmed with originals, and we need more active canons. So I'm starting a new rule: everyone can keep the originals they currently have. But starting now, everyone must have at least one canon before creating a new original. :]

rule seven; all knowing chars.
This would usually come under mary or gary stues, but we wanted to give it its own rule, interacting with other chars. We don't find it appropriate that all characters seem to know what's going on. Just because you know that someones dating someomeone else or cheating on your char doesn't mean your char knows it. Basically, even seers in the HP world don't see all or make mistakes, so we'd appreciate if you knew how to seperate IC and OOC, thanks.

rule eight; sex & mature topics;
This is a school, for 11 - 17 year olds, otherwise out in the wizarding world. We generally don't want anything over R to occur in the forum, some of us have innocent minds remaining. . So, if you REALLY have to, please put a (Mature) in the first post or topic titles, thank you.

rule nine; slang & chatspeak;
This is meant to be, a literate forum. Spelling mistakes, as i've probably made in the rules & other posts are tolerated. However, we do not want pple spking lyk diz in or owt of ic or ooc. k bby? translated; we don't want people speaking like that, in our out of ic, okay baby. We will have a slight tolerance, if it goes over board, your first chance is blown. Kapeesh?
