Couple o' queries, just to be sure...

1) I noticed that recently some people have been given the opportunity to pick and choose what their digi-egg hatches into (everyone from DigimonRules45 onwards), whilst others have their partner randomly handed out to them by the staff (e.g. Takashi, OkitaSan and Siegfried). How come? Is the method for choosing a Digimon randomly selected, does it vary by staff member or what? In any case, the ideal thing for me would be to tell you my evolution line of choice in another post once I’ve been enlightened :)

2) Are we allowed to deviate from the personalities, appearances and attacks of the Digimon as they were portrayed in the anime? I ask because I definitely want my partner to have some individuality, and not just be a shadow of his or her animated predecessor… from the general attitude of the staff, I’d deduce that we’d be allowed to have, for example, a Salamon with a silver collar instead of gold, but not a hot-pink Patamon with four wings or anything even more outrageous ^_^ I’m also guessing that alternate attacks are allowed, just so long as they actually exist in cards or games?

1) last time I checked, the staff decides what your egg hatches into, although that may have changed. I think you are allowed to requst a specific line in your sign-up topic though, and mods can decide if they want to give it to you, I think it's based off how many other already have that digimon.

2) The attacks would remain the same, I don't think there are any other attacks you could choose then the normal ones they have. As far as personality goes, your digimon can be however you want them to be. As mad as a hatter or as serious as a soldier, it's all up to you. They don't need to be a shadow of the ones in the anime, in fact people prefer it if they aren't.

P.S.: Give it time, they'll get to you as soon as they are able.

1) If there's a specific line that you want, we'll see if that Digimon is being used by many others or not. People can request for a certain type of Digimon too.

2) Attacks should be the same but appearance and personality could definitely (and preferably ^^) different from the ones in the anime. Some of these Digimon aren't in the anime anyway.

These are more like addons to what others said, XD.

1. Well, I'll take requests, sometimes pick your own digimon, or just let you pick it entirely by yourself...just kinda depends on my mood. Of course, if you get a line you absolutely hate, I'll gladly give you another digimon. I can't always give people like they want, as some lines are off limits (once 4-5 people get them, no one else can unless that person leaves).

2. By changing colors your digimon would become an entirely different digimon as well. Um...BlackAgumon comes to mind... Of course, weird personality quirks are fine. My digimon (named Malcolm) never calls out his attacks for one.

Now, if Osaka hasn't beaten me to getting you signed up, I'll do it.

all I can say this

#2. My digimon use all thier attacks as a leaverage point in which they launch customised attacks by using a attack he already knows in a special way or even using brute force cause well ... any gabumon can headbut things with it's sharp horn ... no denying that. Physical battling and combo attacking is very possible

Example: Kunemon is given a speed bonus and uses so to make a wall of threads or even a complex wire network of razor thing electrified threads.

#2. The example you gave, a Plotmon with a silver collar, wouldn't be allowed as the collar (and all its goldness) is key to the species and would thereby create a new, nonexistant one, or a fan-made Digimon which is not allowed on this site. However, different colorings that not exist (ie: Black Guilmon, or Falcomon with the ninja colorings) would be allowed.
