Your thoughts on localization job.

- English Character Names
- English Tech/Spell Names
- Translated Hi Ougis
- Voice Actors
- Whatever/Etc.

What do you guys think about the localization in general? If you ask me, the voice actors were generally bad or horrible. The only VAs that matched their respective characters were Guy and Natalia. Jade wasn't the right VA. Luke's VA tried too hard. Tear's VA didn't try AT ALL! Anise's VA was the worst because she portrayed her character horribly.

English Character Names

Really not much different. I prefer Regret to Legretta, however.

English Tech/Spell Names

No real complaints, I prefer Saint Bubble over Blessed Drops, but meh.

Translated Hi Ougis

They're fine by my standards. Plus, the Localization got some new ones.

Voice Actors

I only liked Guy and Natalia.
Anise's voice made my ears bleed.

I still prefer Symphonia...

I liked most of the voices for the main cast except for Anise, but that's mostly due to me getting used to dub voices now (plus I didn't like Asch's "fake" deep voice in Japan)

Added Hi-Ougis was a nice bonus, but unvoiced skits + more glitches kind of overshadows it, IMO.

Yeah the localization has some huge screwups that outweight the good side. If you ask me, it was more than just glitches. xD

Well,the only VAs i liked were Natalia,Guy,Sync and Luke/Asch.The others didn't really fit the characters.

I guess I didn't care too much. I got the game in English, and it was announced right before I was going to import it. I didn't mind the voices much, and minus glitches and unvoiced skits, the localization was decent enough. Anise was questionable, but I never got the "bleeding ears" syndrome everyone seemed to get. Tear was also questionable, but I barely noticed.

I guess I just have low standards.

The one thing that does get on my nerves is the Regret>Legretta thing. The whole Legretta thing I chalked up to the music theme the game had, which I thought was more important than whatever theme Regret had. (Seriously: Sync, Largo, and Arietta are all involved with sound. Asch was the "ash" thing. Dist is just there.) Seriously, when I heard someone start trying to justify it, I thought "now you're just looking for an excuse."

Perfect localization? No, but then what is? And who's to say the other side is perfect, either?

I don't think you have low standards. It's just that you didn't mind or as someone who can't/doesn't import, you were just glad to have it in ENG.

Sorry about AIM, it's messed up right now and I don't know what to do about it.

Some people would criticize me for it, which is why I mentioned it.
