New Stuff
There are now 2 new anime scenes. When Colette releases the seal at the Fire Temple and when you go to Tethe'ella using the Rheiards. They're called Rarebirds in the JPN version.

The portraits of the characters glow when they get closer to Overlimit Mode. This doesn't count for boss or enemy portraits. The Unison Gauge glows when it fills up too. When you use the Unison Attack there's a bar to tell you how much time you have left to push the buttons.

There's a new minimovie during the credits. It shows colored picture of the character in order. After showing the picture of the character, it shows their most significant events in blue and white cartoonish pictures. It shows all the usable characters and then Mithos and Yggdrasill.

Sheena now has a Hi Ougi picture just like everyone else! Hooray! The skits also move accoriding to the emotions of the characters. Think of how the portraits move in ND3. Also, everyone has a new victory pose. They also use a certain pose and quote when they finish the battle with a Hi Ougi. Lastly, there is a Sound Test. You can hear all the battle voices and music here.


Altamira Casino
The casino in Altamira now works. You can trade Gald, GRADE, or EX Gems for chips. 500 Gald for 1 Chip or 10 GRADE for 1 chip.

Nilfheim
In Nilfheim there are now 20 floors to go through. In addition, you fight the Hell Knight after the 5th floor, the Go Seijin Trio after the 10th floor, the Living Armor after the 15th floor, and the Eiyuu Trio on the 20th floor. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE GO SEIJIN TRIO AND EIYUU TRIO ARE JPN ONLY BOSSES!!! After you defeat the Eiyuu Trio, THEN you can burn the book. The 1st Option is to leave the book alone while the 2nd option is burning the book.

Go Seijin Trio
This trio is a fight against Magnius, Forcystus and Pronyma. No I DO NOT know the real story behind this because I don't know any Japanese.

Magnius
- No spells
- 176000 HP
- Has a new 3 Fire Slash attack
- When he charges with his shield to use Beast he only uses it you stagger during the first phrase of the attack
- He also dashes forward when using Hell Hound, making it harder to dodge
- He staggers WAY less than his original form, and he's more power based
- No his 3-hit Fire Slash attack IS NOT a skill, it is a regular attack so it has no name.
- He doesn't seem to use his new Ougi: Souha Enrenshou

Forcystus
- No spells
- 130000 HP
- His gun shots are bigger this time. And stronger.
- He has a new single shot attack that blows you away. He charges his arm and fires first though. Might break your guard.
- He has a new move where he just flies up but doesn't slam the arm. But he still uses his signature move: Downburst
- His new air attack and gunshot attack are NOT skills, they are also regular attacks. They have no name.

Pronyma
- No melee attacks, she is a primary spellcaster now
- 11600 HP
- She just has a singular regular attack that makes you slide far away from her
- She warps when you get close to her, but may attack first
- She retains all her spells and gets a new spell: Icicle


Eiyuu Trio

Yuan
- 176000 HP
- Primary melee fighter
- He doesn't have any new moves in his Eiyuu form, he rarely uses Shunraiken and Tenshou Raizangeki too.

Mithos
- Still has his regular attacks but he's the primary spellcaster
- 128000 HP
- He now has Prism Sword. This only counts for his Eiyuu form
- He doesn't use Shining Bind but will still use Indignation Judgment

Kratos
- Still has his spells and moves (Cheap punk)
- 190000 HP
- He doesn't have any new moves and DOES NOT use Shining Bind
- He's in his Judgment costume

Note: The Eiyuu Trio is a 3 on 3...not a 4 on 3. So you must set your party and make sure to heal too.

Edited Stuff
The theme song has been changed to Sosite Boku ni Dekiru Koto. The same band that did the original theme song. In addition, there's a remix of the song when the party saves Lloyd from Yggdrasill. And then the song continues until after you defeat Pronyma. That's when it ends.

Instead of the greenish text, the Tales of Symphonia logo is now a reddish color. Magneta to be specific. The angels that have Seraph wings are now solidish. They look way better than the fadeaway wings in the GCN version. Sheena's Pyre and Demon Seal skills now have a cooler, better explosion sound. All variations of Regal's spin Kick skills have a "blue aura".

It takes 100 hits instead of 150 to fill the Unison Gauge. The GCN object in the Sylvarant base is changed into a weird object. Sword Dancer's dark skull has been changed to a regular white skull. He still looks the same in battle though.

In the Flanoir scene, you can only see Kratos if he is one of your top 3 most affectionate characters. If you turn down the offer to walk out in the snow with the first two, you automatically go with the third person. The Earth Dragon drops 1000 Gald instead of 10000 Gald.

The camera in battle is better now. It used to zoom in on player 1 and only player 1 during battle. Some cutscenes are also changed. When Colette saves Sheena from the monster in Luin, she gets knocked over so she is touching Sheena. Also, when Kratos betrays you, his theme song starts when he announces that he is a Seraphim. Lastly, when you first meet Zelos, the party members don't look left and right like idiots until Colette bumps into Zelos like in the GCN version. Instead, Genis and Lloyd have the "fun" expression and look excitedly at Meltokio while Colette walks ahead. Raine is close behind Lloyd and Genis.

The in battle graphics are also a lot better. They make the GCN version graphics look pale when you compare them. The battle speed is a lot slower though, unfortunately. But everything else in the game should make up for it. And also, Genis' Kendama is bought at the casino instead of bought from the failure of a gambler in Altamira. To buy it, it costs 250 Chips. (That's 125000 Gald). If that costs 125000 Gald for 250 Chips, imagine how much Gald it will take for Raine's bunny costume... (150000 Chips)

Other Interesting Stuff I noticed
- Seraphims and Angels are called "Tenshi" in the game.
- Desian Grand Cardinals are called Desian "Go Seijin".
- The Chosen One is called "Miko-sama" or "Miko" in the game.
- Unison Attack (Lightning Tiger Blade) is called Shuusou Raizan. Luke's FoF in Tales of the Abyss.

- Ryuuko Metsugajin is Rid's Hi Ougi. Except Rid's Hi Ougi is called Ryuuko Metsugazan. It is also one of Guy's FoF skills.

- The Critical Blade Unison Attack is Loni's Hi Ougi from Tales of Destiny 2
- Ground Dasher is called Grand Dasher
- Thunder Arrow is called Volt Arrow
- Meredy's incantation quote is original. In the GCN version she just says "Drown!" Which I find stupid and pathetic.

- Yuan's and Yggdrasill's JPN victory quote is almost the exact same.
- The scene where Regal confesses his crime is unvoiced. But in the ENG version it IS voiced. o_O;

- If you choose to have Kratos with you and beat Kvar, Kratos will thank Lloyd

- If you chose Kratos over Zelos at Flanoir and have Kratos and Lloyd in your party when you defeat Mithos, Kratos will speak too when Lloyd says goodbye. Lloyd responds to Kratos as well


Unused Voice Clips
There is a Sound Test this game showing the music and voice clips of all characters in the game. However, there are some voice clips that are unused.
