1: General Forum Rules

1: Spamming
Posting stupid things that are not important. This is also posting something that has nothing to do with the current topic. Please stay on topic and don't spam. The only place you can spam is the Tower of Spam. Spamming can also be referred to as posts with one word or just smilies.

2: Cussing and Swearing
You may cuss here as long as you don't take it too far. We may tolerate "ass" or "damn" but we will not tolerate such words beyond that such as "shit" or the f-word. You will be punished severely for swearing too much or too hard, regardless of your knowledge of this rule. You should be old enough to know that cussing and swearing is forbidden.

3: Necroposting
Necroposting is posting on a dead topic. This means posting on a topic that has not had a reply for 14 or more days. Please avoid necroposting, it is easy to check the latest post date. You can only necropost if you have something important you want to post. For example, an art topic that you have not made art yet for a month and then you post a new art you just made. THAT is acceptable.

4: Double Posting
Posting two or more times in a row. This is not allowed because members use it to bump topics or keep it alive. You can only double post if you have something important to the topic such as updates or points of interests.

5: ROMs and MP3s
Linking to ANY of the two is strictly prohibited. You cannot post links at all. They are illegal because companies make music and games to be sold, not for someone to put it into a program and make it playable through computer. That is why it is illegal and not allowed here. Any links on the forum will be removed and the person will be banned with no warnings. You can instruct them but YOU CANNOT post a link. Period.

6: Flaming and Trolling
Flaming is insulting a member on the board. Trolling is asking for an insult. Both are not allowed and you will have a severe punishment for either of these. Don't even make a stupid insult because it's still flaming. And don't provoke people's anger by posting something that will tick someone off. That also means referring to someone bad without saying their name.

7: Advertising
You CANNOT advertise your forum or site anywhere on Derris Kharlan. It will be immediately removed. If you want to affiliate, simply PM an Admin and we'll think about it. If your site has a decent ammount of members, sure. You can only advertise if you ASK first. Plus, you do not have to ask for permission to advertise if your forum has affiliated with us. AND NO ADVERTISING VIA PM OR PROFILE!!! If you ask for someone to help you on your TALES forum, that's advertising.

8: Avatars and Signatures
Please keep your avatars 100x100 in pixel size and your signatures not too huge. Members may post 1 image in their sigs, Veterans may post 2 images, Rokujinshou can post 3 and Admins have no limit as long as they do not go too far as well. No images of nudity or anything disturbing please. They will be removed without your consent. If your signature is too all or if it stretches the page, it will be removed and you will be notified.

9: Plagiarism and Stealing
Plagiarism and Stealing are basically the same thing. It's stealing or copying another person's work. In internet-forum terms, it's stealing information, pictures and even smilies from another forum. Any form copying will result in an instant ban. If you are taking something from another forum, please ASK FIRST. Not giving credit is enough, you have to ASK them FIRST and get PERMISSION. Otherwise, it's stealing.

10: Pornagraphy
Any form of pornagraphy in this forum will not be allowed. All pornagraphy will be removed and the person who posts such a thing will be banned. If you're not sure on whether or not the picture you want to post is pornagraphy or not, then PM an Admin.

11: Spoilers
When making any posts about spoilers on any forum about any game, make sure you make the spoiler warning noticeable. Make sure the warning is far away from the spoiler text and make it so that people notice that before reading the actual spoilers. Bold it if you have to. And don't just put "Spoilers" and then have the text right underneath it. That's not helping, make sure people read the warning before the spoilers. However, since most people who sign on Tales forums usually play and beat Symphonia first, you do not have to worry about hiding spoilers when posting Symphonia spoilers.

12: Most Important
Anything racist, sexist, or prejudice is not allowed on the forum at all. All offenders will be automatically banned. You can talk about it, but as long as you're not offending any race, sex or ethnic group then it is okay. And most of all, don't EVEN joke about any of the subjects.
