Lindsay walked out onto the front lawn wearing her black jeans and a black hooded sweater with a white skull in the middle. Lindsay took a deep breath of fresh air and felt relaxed. The school seemed to have been suffocating her the past few hours she had been awake. It was one of those days where she just wanted to stay in bed and sleep. That plan was ruined due to the fact that she was wide awake with nothing better to do then to count how many tiles in the ceiling there were, which is 155 in total.
Shoving her hands into her pocket she walked over to one of her favourite trees to sit under, the largest tree with the most branches to sit in. Lindsay turned around so that the tree was now behind her and looked around the grounds. Not a person was to be seen anywhere, just peace and quiet. Something Lindsay didn’t want right now. She needed someone, anyone to talk with. Someone loud, like her, to break the silence that was slowing starting to drive her mental. Yeah, the silence was nice and relaxing, but there was something about the silence that she didn’t like. It was one of those silences where you know that you are the only one there, a kind of emptiness.
Heaving a sigh, Lindsay gently set her bag down and sat down beside it. She opened her bag and reached inside. A second later she pulled out her laptop she had gotten from her parents for her 14th birthday. She didn’t even want it in the first place. Now it was her life, it got her connected to the music that she put on her iPod, which she listened to everyday. Lindsay pressed her finger on the power button on the laptop and waited for it to turn on and load everything. Once loaded she started working on her short story that was due Monday for English. Well, that is she tried to work on her story. She had no idea what she was going to even write about and she didn’t even want to write a story in the first place right now. But, what else did she have to do right now?
