General Rules
Activity=Must.
I do understand that things happen and real life is far more important that role playing, but you need to try to be active because the life for the site depends on every single member. If something comes up and you know you won’t be able to get on for a few days you need to either PM an Admin or post in the Absence forum. Keep in mind there is a time limit though.
Everyone: We'd like to see you post at least once a week if possible although we won't hold you to that.

After a month of inactivity without notice (ie a PM to an Admin or post in the Absence forum) I will delete your character and they will be up for grabs again.

If you find that you can’t keep up with Rping because of your everyday life or any other circumstances PM an admin or Post in the Absence forum to let us know so we can put your character up for grabs again ASAP.

Admins
The Admin are GODs here. If they say something you listen. I (Tish) hand select my Admins and trust their judgment.

Spam and Off-limits Topics
Alright we are ALL guilty of spamming, even if it was only once. Please try to keep it to a minimum. If you've read this part the first part is 'the best'. The following are in no way, shape or form allowed on my board. If you bring them up I give ONE warning the second time you are banned! They are: Politics, religion, sexuality and anything offensive. Keep in mind I will be glancing at all topics once in a while so I’ll notice is something it going on.

Cursing
I completely understand that sometimes it’s the best way to express feelings but Please keep it to a minimum especially in the OOC. Just like the off-limits topics I give one warning then you are gone. In character if it fit’s the situation and the character is someone who is likely to cuss I will giving more leeway. But keep in mind I will not hesitate to place a filter if I have to.

Advertising
I do allow advertisements but they are only allowed as a portkey. I will delete them if I see them elsewhere. I’m really nitpicky when it comes to advertising. The rules are simple follow them. (the full rules are in the portkey forum.)


Registering and Applying

Screen Name
When you register for you Character please use your character's first and last name. If you register with anything else I will delete you without asking questions. If you accidentally add a middle name PM an admin and ask nicely for them to change it.

Signatures, Avatars and Claims
You signature must be no bigger than 350(height)c500(width) pixels, an no more than 6 avatars if that’s what you choose to do. Please don’t use pictures of people you find on myspace or vampirefreaks or yourself or even friends. Scene Queens however ARE allowed. Double claiming is only allowed if both people agree, I don’t care if they have different hair color or whatever you must ask permission to whoever claimed them first! Twins are the acceptation. You must have at least an avatar for your character. If you've read this far put 'part of' next. You may put links to your profile or relationships in your signature but not outside links. And keep in mind the Sig/Avatar has to relate to the character.

Multiple Accounts
If you think you can handle more than one character that’s fine. I just ask that you make sure you are active on both (and please make sure you switch accounts to post as a second or third character!) Every ACTIVE member is allowed to have up to 3 Characters. They can NOT all 3 be the same gender! If you have only two characters one must be male and the other female, if you have three two can be male and one female or the other way around. Also try not to make your second or third character someone another one of your character’s might somehow meet.

Rules for posting.

Length and Tense
This is a Intermediate-Advanced Site! It shouldn’t be hard to have at least 3 paragraphs about 8 sentences long. As you know there are many things you can do to add length. And Trust me I know sometimes it’s hard. If you can’t come up with something now and then it’s fine, I have that problem myself. It’s only a problem when it’s 90% of what you post is tiny little things. Tense should be easy, past tense. Just a reminder though, “I” should only be used if the person is talking in 3rd person about themselves or thinking, thoughts should be italics.

Stick to your ‘personality’ You created the character so you should be able to stay in character. Make sure you don’t put you hate something and then write in a post you love it. If I notice something in a post I’ll point it out, your not in trouble just be a little more careful, I know if you play on lots of sites you might get a bit mixed up.

Spelling & Grammar
Alright please make sure you run a spelling and grammar check on your post or at least look it over. If there are one or two words you just can’t figure out how to spell find put (sp) next to them to show that you did at least notice it. I’m pretty understanding when it comes to spelling and grammar. However remember Asha? That’s a bit annoyance to her, she even yells at me about it. In fact I bet she nit-picked the rules but as a said before she’s awesome If you switch a letter here and there don’t panic you’re not in trouble I do it all the time, one thing however bothers me. If you've read this far the next part is ‘believe is.’ When you can’t look at a character’s name you are posting with and spell it right. Please Please Please look at it and spell it right!

Also make sure the text color and size you are using is readable or nobody it going to want to look at the post long enough to read it. And make sure that your paragraphs are double spaced. (should be easy)

Age, Actions and Behavior
Please try to act your characters age. For example, young kids aren't going to curse in every sentence and talk about sex casually. Just make sure if your character is acting childish there’s a reason (ie personality). Also do not take things that happen IC personally, people are bound to clash and in some sub-plots they have to, it makes things fun and interesting.

Copy & Paste and Double posting
We all do it, and it’s fine! Just don’t copy the entire post, only what you need (ie spoken words) Paste the other persons post just annoys them, they know what they wrote, use paste to keep things organized, not make your post longer. Double posting annoys me, there is an edit button, use it!

Special Objects
Very few people have invisibility cloaks and only the Marauder’s have the map, the best broomstick is expensive and not everyone has lots of money. Please don’t make everyone rich and have the best things. It’s just annoying.

Injuries & Death
If you get hurt you aren’t just hurt for that post or topic (unless it’s minor of course like hitting your head on a desk or something) you are hurt in at least a couple topics after that or until you have gone to a healer. Death or a character is not allowed under any circumstances. A characters relative that is not a canon is fine but if they are on my list they are not going to be killed, they are there for a reason.

And the Biggest topic:

Love, Romance and the Rating
The rating is R, yes R if you aren’t mature enough to handle that don’t sign up. Love happens and with love people get hurt and have crushes and break-ups ect. Sexual topics are allowed on the board BUT you MUST MUST MUST warn everyone. You have to put it in your topic title if it is planned or looks like it might go that way. If it just happens make an entire post with HUGE text warning everyone that from that point on it’s R rated. Not everyone is alright with reading that content. Now I going to make this VERY clear, PORN IS IN NO WAY ALLOWED. Try not to be extremely blunt and leaving out certain details is perfectly fine (actually it’s encouraged).

Slash is perfectly fine, if you have a problem with it, do not join.

Pregnancy
If you would like your character to become pregnant PM an admin and we will let you know if we are allowing it. Depending on the character we may or may not allow it, if you character is allowed then we will discuss things with you personally. Congrats you finished the last part is ‘the lie.’
