Fate of DBC

As you all know, DBC was created by myself with the intent to have a reliable place for the competitive community of the Budokai games to have a place to communicate about them, especially with the fact that GameFAQs began rejecting true character guides for BL. I also wanted to have a place where the players can conversate on other subjects with each other...basically a e-hangout spot of sorts.

However, as BL became more and more broken down and became more and more disappointing, the boards began to really die off. Now, there's only 4-5 active members on here.

Now I'm faced with the decision of closing down DBC or keeping it open to discuss IW.

I want to get the input from all of the active members now...should I keep it open or should I close it down now? I want to keep it open, but what is the point when no one comes here?

I'm very sure IW will be worth discussing, much like B3 was, but who knows.

So I'm asking everyone still here: Keep DBC or close DBC?

I think you should keep it, more and more people will come back after IW will come out, all disloyal basters but oh well xD

People like odjinryu or gogeta will come and make all sorts of stuff for that game i bet xD

I would wait for IW to come out, if there still won't be any more people here, you're free to close down by me, but you have to check my IW vids, because i will sure make them xD

On a more serious note, keep it up for IW!

And if you don't, bring it back up for BL2!

well IW should give this place a little boost since its the next best thing to dbz....

but you never know..i personally think you should keep it going for the time being..

So you got that coming out, then BL2 wont be too far away, and that will bring back a lot of people and should be a lot better than BL.

No, please keep it open. I have a very good feeling about Infinite World.

I think this site has been far to helpful to shut down.This basically kept discussion alive between our community.Sure BL was disappointing but we kept working and discussing it here which we might never have done elsewhere which may have killed the community off.Now this board kept us all together and working instead of drifting off so i think the board is too important to shut down

This is even not looking at IW coming out soon which WILL reinvigorate the community again and we WILL need a place to start discussion up again especially since we are getting a B3/SB system that we already KNOW how to work with.Its always much easier to just like people here than to c/p my flow chart/depth argument link to the Combo tutorial or Nnamz guides

That's new news to me...I'll see what's up with your account. May be an issue there.

This site is a one off it has great content with loads of character guide and combos which some member have spent much time putting all together it would be ashame for it all to go to waste.
I often look through them, I registered just to show my thanks for the guides.

I won't be getting IW as I don't have that glorified doorstop but I'll keep looking here about Burst Limit stuff

Yeah, there really is no reason to close this site. This is one of the only sites where I seen so many Budokai cancel combo'ers and where I've seen serious gameplay discussions.

GF is okay, but the majority of people there make idiotic joke topics.

Well I know I don't post much at all (hey it's been a ruff qtr. data structures, calculus, and assembly are killing me).

But I still check in from time to time and like the site. Doubt I'll play IW but BL2 I will pick up. I still think BL was just a few bugs from being really good. So that's my 2 cents.

Since I'm able to get IW, I'll finally be able to join in on conversations.

Keep it Azuro, for sure. Never did get interested enough into the community because Burst Limit was...bleh. With IW however, I guess I'll be active now. That and the bleach DS community is getting old, especially on GFAQS.

I mean isn't invisionboards free anyways?

Even if it's just a hang out spot for 5 people, if you all like talking to each other, I see that being reason enough to just leave it be.


As for IW, I don't really seeing it changing anything. I mean even if it's the better game, it has no online at all. So if anything, the lifespan will be shorter than Burst Limit's, as the majority of people don't play people in person.

but I mean I wouldn't close and invisionboard due to inactivity. It's not costing you a dime so I'd just leave it up so that it's always here, in case one day a DBZ game worth learning to play well comes out, and you and your bros always have a place to chill.

Keep it. I don't plan on making guides on gamefaqs.
