We are currently studying the book of Colossians in Family Life Group. We studied the introduction and verses 1 and 2 this past week (Sept 9).

Next week (Sept 16), we will be studying chapter 1, verses 3 through 8. I'm tickled about that because it gives us a chance to really *study* the verses and not just breeze through them. Pick them apart and look up the words and what they mean. Check out Bible Gateway for study materials and other translations (even Chinese?) (thanks to Jerome for that tip, which is also posted on our church website).

Now you have no excuses. We're only studying 6 verses, for heaven's sake. Surely you can fit that reading in! wink.gif See ya' there!

In addition to BibleGateway.com, there are a few awesome (and very helpful) free downloadable Bible programs you can put on your computer. My personal favorite for PCs is E-Sword, and for Macs the best I've found is MacSword. Both of these programs have free translations of the Bible, free commentaries/study tools, and other completely free resources and reading material; MacSword even has John Bunyan's The Pilgrim's Progress, which is awesome.

If anybody downloads either of these programs and needs help finding the Bible translations, commentaries, etc., just let me know and I'll point you in the right direction!

Oh, and you can even get Chinese translations for these programs tongue.gif

And I saw a Klingon translation for the MacSword one, haha...crazy.
