Title: Delete old members

JulieFan - December 13, 2007 10:58 AM (GMT)
I noticed there are a lot of people who signed up and never posted. Can't you delete them? :)

Glampire28 - December 13, 2007 03:44 PM (GMT)
I was wondering the same thing. I was an a board once and the owner who invited me to the board in the first place deleted me even though I was posting messages and comments like crazy to stay around. B)

Kyle can always look into it.

CalleighElleDakota - December 13, 2007 05:43 PM (GMT)
I agree with you - I mean I'm on this forum for not even a month but I already noticed that there seem to be "only a handful" members who are really posting on a regular term... :)

JulieFan - December 13, 2007 06:20 PM (GMT)
oh well that makes us a tight group lol :P

CalleighElleDakota - December 13, 2007 06:24 PM (GMT)
I mean, I can't understand this anyway - why would someone sign up somewhere and then don't use that...

Glampire28 - December 13, 2007 08:46 PM (GMT)
I don't know Calleigh, I've noticed that too. If they are not going to participate then why join. B)

ac5000 - December 14, 2007 02:22 AM (GMT)
i think we should leave them on...perhaps they'll come around and start posting later on. ive done that a few times actually.

CriminalMind - December 14, 2007 06:18 PM (GMT)
I know I've signed up to a site, meaning to post, but life got too busy, and I haven't. Maybe we should do a mass email, and prompt them, and if they still don't, then delete them? At least that way they have a chance to participate, if they want.

Also, no matter if they post of not, the numbers look impressive if there's lots of members! :P

CalleighElleDakota - December 14, 2007 07:29 PM (GMT)
Good idea, Criminal, I mean that with contacting the members of the forum and giving them the chance to "save" their account :)

JulieFan - December 14, 2007 08:34 PM (GMT)
Well, if their accounts get deleted. All they have to do is make another one if they are REALLY going to post.

CalleighElleDakota - December 14, 2007 08:36 PM (GMT)
Good point...And even a small group can impress people - with the number of the posts...

CriminalMind - December 15, 2007 08:09 PM (GMT)
Also, a small group may seem less 'scary'. I'm such a forum addict, but I always tend to join the smaller, more closeknit ones.

But, on the flip side, if they see us all getting on, with our 'in jokes' and things, they may feel a bit intimidated. Basically is all a game of 'pros and cons'.

I love this show! - December 15, 2007 08:54 PM (GMT)
I wish we could delete some.....for example our last "member" I think just wanted to post spam. It's great to see the name "lite viagra" having signed up!

I hope guests don't see something like that and think that's the kind of members we have!

I think people just get busy. We'll have members sign up and be fairly involved for awhile and then over time they disappear. It's the diehard fans like us that stick around!

Or, you know, hardcore obsessives who skip over real life, and hang around here! :P

lol, 'lite viagra', he's definetly not a spammer, huh?! Although, I think that's hilarious, you log on and see a spammer name, it's just lik, 'wha?'

Rach112 - December 16, 2007 07:30 PM (GMT)
Seeing Lite Viagra made me laugh! Oh gosh... Spammer, we're watching you! I think a lot of our members who don't post probably just come here as guests and read what they want to read...if we deleted everyone who doesn't post much, we probably wouldn't have many members!

I love this show! - December 16, 2007 07:50 PM (GMT)
There would be like....ten of us! Not really, there would be more than that - but seeing the big number makes it look good doesn't it?

Rach112 - December 16, 2007 07:56 PM (GMT)
Yep...we look popular! Thank gosh for all our regulars though who stick around :D

ac5000 - December 17, 2007 03:00 AM (GMT)
well...you guys couldn't get rid of us! once you make those first few posts, it gets addictive!

Special Agent Jentzer - December 19, 2007 09:39 PM (GMT)

I like the big numbers...keep them around!

except of course the 'lite viagra''s.......buu-buy

Kyle - December 20, 2007 01:17 AM (GMT)
Hey guys.. Sorry, I did not notice this topic so I am quite late!!

Anyways, I agree that spammers should be deleted, obviously. But I do not think that just regular people who signed up should be deleted, even if they do not post. I know that there are some members here who used to never ever post, but have started.

Usually every time I mass mail the members with a "newsletter" some people start to post more, who used to have like 0 posts and such. So I think that some people just might forget, or something of that nature.

I say just leave it for now. Anyone else agree/disagree?

CriminalMind - December 20, 2007 06:45 PM (GMT)
I agree too Kyle. Although, lol at 'Lite Viagra', he should totally stay! :P (j/k, doesn't exactly portray us well, huh? :P)
