OOC: Alright, the last part is a little deprived of subject, but as my first I think I did pretty good. It goes faster once you have something to write about. I had made a table, my best table ever. And I had fixed it up and re-coded and everything, but guess what? It didn't work!! So I have sunken to just normal text...
The night air was very cold, and the stars twinkled. If cold could be a color, the stars would be that hue. The moon didn’t help much either, as it signified another day gone by without anything new except more intense hunger pains. Onyx’s black fur blended in with the sky, and her claws flashed just like the stars, and it was as though the night itself had come down onto The Earth just to tease and torment her. She sighed and laid her head down onto her paws and curled her legs in, making herself into a ball to try to keep warm. Every third day seemed to get colder, and each night the sky got darker. Her blue eyes drifted from the sky to the ground when she heard rustling in the grass, but it always turned out to be a rabbit or squirrel out late at night, or once or twice it wasn’t anything or she didn’t get to see it. She finally settled down into into sleep when she got tired of being skittish from sounds that weren’t. .::..::. .::..::. She was walking in a densely forested area she regignized as Dyardin, and although it was night she could tell that something was wrong. The shadows were too dark, and when she looked at the trees she saw faces, faces that had been dead a long time, faces she remembered as trouble makers and traitors. All the faces wore a grotesque smile, and their eyes followed her as she walked. Something wade her stop in her tracks, and when she looked around she saw the shadows were even bigger. That’s what was wrong, the shadows were nothing, they held nothing, they were nothing, and certainty was darker than nothing. Then she relized she was standing in a shadow, and she fell. Fell into a pit of dispair and loneliness, a pit that never ended. .::..::. .::..::. The morning dawned bright and cheerfully, but Onyx had never felt worse. She was achy all-over, even her claws hurt. The lack of food and water were starting to ravage her, even though she couldn’t do anything about it. A squirrel walked up to a thick clump of grass near Onyx, a twig snapped and she started. The squirrel shop past her, alarmed. Onyx sighed, she was so jumpy from the sounds last night. She licked her paw and swiped it over her ears. She sat and listened to the morning sounds of birds twittering and and the cracking of nuts the squirrels had found. It was going to be a long, and painful, day. -------------------- Do you ever feel the pull of the grass, the wind, or the trees? The howl of a wolf, or the chirp of a bird, and the way it rings through the still night air without end? The Wild is calling you...will you answer?
