The following are the rules that all members and staff must follow. Failure to abide to these rules will result in suspention or termination from the forum.


The Basics

-YOU CAN ONLY HAVE 6 CHARACTERS HERE!

-Please follow the rules. Everything is run better and people have more fun when they are followed.

-Respect the staff! They have earned their positions and should respected. Please comply with things they ask such as changing profiles or other things on the board. If they ask something of you that you do not feel it right or needed, you can contact me, Eva.

-No spamming on rp boards. OOC are allowed but to a limit. All spam should be kept to the spam boards.

-No sexual, pornographic, or anything else R rated. We don't want to read it or see it. This includes characters mating. If you want to do that, keep it to private messages or another messaging system. We may have younger members who would not like to exposed to that.

-NOT ART THEFT! Eva hangs around on a lot of the art community sites. Stealing,using,copying, or taking artwork from someone without permission is not tolerated at all. Not only will you be banned, we will report you to the artist themself. If you want a picture, ask around to see if someone will draw you one.

-No hard core cursing. Some words are allowed but please keep them to the minimum. There are better words to use. Be considerate of younger members and others who do no appreciate them.

Joining
-If you want to create a character, fill out the appropriate form and post it in the "Profiles" board. DO NOT post it in the accepted section. A staff member will either accept your character or ask you to change some things until it is acceptable. When it is accepted, they will move your profile to the accepted section and you can began rping your character

-This is a forum based on the series "Dragonriders of Pern" by Anne McCaffrey. While we accept newcomers to the series, be sure to read up somewhere on the basics of Pern. If you get confused, feel free to ask a staff member or look in the information section for links and explanations.

-Keep all your characters to ONE account. There's no need to make one for each character. If it's helpful, you can keep a list of your characters in your sig so that people know who is who's.

-DO NOT BUG THE STAFF! Everyone has a life and not everyone can get on each day. Please be patient if a staff member has not accepted you profile. If it goes unattended for more then two weeks, then you can start pming staff.


Roleplaying
-This is a more advance roleplay forum. We do ask for at least one paragraph with some detail. (We need something to work with lol.) That dosen't mean people new to rp aren't welcome. Hop on in, we can teach you everything and help you better yourself.

-NO GODMODDING! That means taking control of someone elses character or making yours invincible.

-If you want your character to die, then understand that you will never get them back. No one can rise from the grave so think wisely when you want to. You cannont kill another person's character unless they give you permission.

-Again, nothing over R rated on here. If you want to rp something like that, take it over to private messages or a messaging system like MSN or AIM. If you are found doing this on the site, it will be deleted and you will be banned for several weeks if not permanent.

-Keep to your area when roleplaying. A random rouge can't just wander into the Weyr. Cove weyr can only be reached by either boat or on dragonback. The codeword is autumn. Children from Holds are not allowed to wander the weyr unless they got a ride here or were searched.

-Try to keep your character in one place. Having a character in two different roleplays or times can get confusing to not only you but other members. Higher ranks may have to do this because their character may be needed in many places.

Artwork and Pictures
-No copyrighted pictures. If you do image searches on google or another site, most are copyright and by law, you can not use without permission of the owner. Try looking for stock photos for they are free to use. If you need help locating some, pm Tahki or the staff.

-Again NO ART THEFT. You will be banned, reported and having everything whiped. The owner of this board is also an artist and I have no tolerance for theives. You will be given the strictess punishment!

-Need a picuture? Don't steal but trying asking some of the members if they know free image sites or know someone who can draw their character. If you're looking for a good image, try free image stock websites. They sometimes have nice models who pose for them.

Characters
-No mutations,elves,hybrids, etc. Pern is souly people with no mythical races. So no people running around with cat ears, tail, or wings.

-Keep people to a reasonable description. There were no dragonriders running around with pink hair(no hair dye on pern people) Also there are no red eyes and other unhuman features.

-No person is perfect. Please do not go making mary sues on us. Everyone has their flaws. Also, please do not make all the characters with a grim history. That also gets boring. Why not add some flair and some individuality to them. ^^
