Cristina Yang did the one thing no one thought she'd ever do - break up with Burke. After their 2 hour scream fest, Cristina grabbed everything she could and was important to her before walking out, telling him that she would be back later for the rest of her stuff. Unable to face her kids or Owen since he was at work, Cristina went to the one person she knew she wouldn't have to explain everything to, Mark Sloan

Walking into the hotel, she quickly found out what room he was in, heading up there as quick as she could. Her mnd going a mile a minute as she was in the elevator and walking towards his room. Hoping Addison or Jenni wasn't at his hotel room right now, she sighed deeply before knocking on his door. "Please be here" she whispered, biting on her nails while she waited.

Mark and Jenni had stopped seeing each other and it was most likely for the best.Mark hadn't realized that it was lust more than anything that had drawn him to Jenni.He and Addison were staying in a hotel until the termites in their house could be erradicated.Addison was working tonight and the kids were at the hospital daycare.Mark had told Addison that he thought he had a fever so she took the kids.In truth he just had wanted to be able to look at the engagement ring that he was planning to put on her finger soon.He was still planning on it even though the affair had just ended.

Mark heard the door and he closed the blue velvet ring box and stood up.He didn't see the need to put a shirt on.He opened the door to the hotel suite and it was Cristina on the other side"Uh...Hey."Mark greeted Cristina,uncertain as to why she was here.

Rolling her eyes when he didn't orginially answer the door, Cristina started to turn to leave when she heard the door knob move. "I did it" she whispered, half of her facing Mark, her eyes looking down the hallway. "As of tonight, we're no longer together. I am a whore for cheating, I don't deserve my kids and the songle reason him and I didn't work was me, but Burke and I aren't together anymore" she whispered, facing Mark. It killed her to say it, and it also hurt way more then she thought it would.

Mark was proud of her.She had done something that Msrk knew was incredibly hard for her,but the important thing is that she did it.Mark opened the door a little more and said"Come in.I'll put on a shirt and we can talk about this." Mark knew that Cristina was not a whore and that she loved her kids more than anything else in the world.She was an amazing mother even if she really didn't fell like she was right now.

Walking in, she threw her hand at Mark. "I've seen you naked, you don't need a shirt. Besides, I'm out of the McSteamy phase" Cristina joked, smiling as she fell onto his bed. "I haven't told the kids yet, I just left his house and came here. I can't believe he said all of that though" she whispered, pushing herself up on her elbows to look at Mark. "Am I all of them things? Did I single handly mess up mine and his relationship? And if I didn't, why did he say it?" Cristina whispered, the hurt clearly coming out in her face and voice.

Mark knew that Cristina was right so he decided againsat throwing on a t-shirt so he could help Cristina out.He sat down on the bed with her and listened to what Cristina was saying"Well I think that you should tell the kids tomorrow.It will be better comming from you."Mark advised the mother of his godchildren quietly.As he listened to her tell him what Burke said,Mark got angrier and angrier"No you didn't.You did the sbsolute best you could while Burke went in and out of not only your life but the kids lives as well.Sure you were a little unstable for awhile,but that was because of him.He could have killed you through his incredibly selfish actions.Burke was angry that you are finally strong enough to realize that what Burke put you through was something that you never want to risk happening again and you won't put your kids through that again."Mark explained to Cristina.

Sitting up once Burke sat down on the bed, she listened to him as he spoke. "I'm going to tell the kids, Hazel''s going to be upset, I know, but I couldn't have her be there all the time where I was always so upset and I would find a way to leave just so I didn't have to deal with him" she whispered, resting her head in her hands and sighing. It was eating her alive that Burke had said all of them things about her, but Cristina had to shrug it off, especally since part of Cristina don't think it's true. "I just wanted us to be friends after this, especally because of the kids, don't look like that's going to happen. And besides, I don't want him to confront Owen at work, you know?"

Of course Mark knew.He was still hoping that Jacob didn't find out that Mark had slept with Jenni twice.Mark hoped that Jenni would keep her word about not telling him"Of course I get it.I don't want Jacob to confront me at work either."Mark admitted.He knew that Hazel would be angry and Mark felt horrible for the little girl who idolized her father"Be sure to tell her that it was not her fault."Mark told Cristina with a sigh.

Cristina smiled for a second, glad that Mark actually knew and understood where she was coming from. "I will tell er that until i'm blue in the face because honestly, I didn't do this sooner because of Hazel and Shaun" she admitted, resting her head on Mark's shoulder, trying not to cry over this. "But I already miss him so much"

Mark was surprised when Cristina put her head on his shoulder.Cristina was never overyly emotional or mushy and Mark knew that.He watched her and he listened to her"You did the right thing for you and your kids Cris."Mark assured her.He knew that Cristina missed her kids and he was hoping that she would see them again tomorrow"Where are the kids now?"Mark asked gently as he rubbed Cristina's back gently,hoping to relax her.

"At Callie's. I didn't even explain what was going on and I feel horrible because she just had Taylor but when I showed up almost crying she took them without question" Cristina rambled, letting out a small sigh. Her heart was torn into two, part of her wanted to stay with Burke, but the other part wanted to explore this new terrtory that Owen Hunt brought. "I'm just scared is all. What if he tries to get cusody of them? Me being so instable a few months back could be the ticket that he needs to take my children" Cristina whispered, instantly crying at the thought "And I couldn't handle that"

Mark knew that Callie had just had Taylor which was baby number 5 or 6,Mark had completely lost count of how many children the O'Malley's had.Mark knew that Callie had a good heart and that was why she agreed to take them so quickly.Mark looked at Cristina when she talked about Burke"He won't try and take them and if he does,you'll be able to prove to the judge that you are healthy once again and that you have more support than he does.I know for a fact that Addie and I would back you up and so would Callie and Owen and Bailey.Burke has no support.Plus you would be able to tell the judge that he came in and out of their lives a lot and because of that,that makes him the unstable one."Mark told Cristina seriously.

Listening to Mark, Cristina just sighed. She kenw she had a support system, but she thought it was just mainly Callie. Hoenstly, she didn't know how many people would back her up when it came to her and Burke, if it did, "But he has his whole family, and you know Derek would be on his side, probably the Chief as well. He may have walked in and out, but he has a stable family, a blood family. I have you guys. I don't know Mark, even the thought scares me" she admitted, rubbing Mark's leg for a second. "But thanks for saying you'd be behind me, it means a lot.

Mark was no longer close with Derek.After everything that had happened with Meredith,Mark sided completely with Meredith and Mark knew that she and Alex were happy together"He let his mother take your daughter from you.I think you would have recovered so much better and faster if you had Hazel with you the whole time.Everyone at the hospital knows that Burke is an asshole and if Richard and Derek support him,then they are just as much assholes as he is.I don't want toy to think about it okay.If he sues for full custody,then you can think about it."Mark told Cristina seriously.If Burke sued for full custody,Mark would help Cristina fight it.

"You're right" Cristina whispered. "About Hazel" She knew that if Hazel was there everyday and not with Burke's mother that the relasp may have never happened. And even if it did, Cristina doubted that it would've been as bad as it was if Hazel was around. "I know I shouldn't dwell on it, but it's so hard not to. I just can'r imagine life without them kids. Honestly, I can't imagine life without Burke, yet I have feelings for Owen. I'm so confused."
