something unexpectant ,,, tag; callie

from time to time, fights occur within the emergency room. generally they are patients who are more than likely drunk or angry. this time is seemed to be two drunk men who seemed angry toward one another who stumbled into the emergency room after getting into a car accident, leaving the scene and some how getting themselves to seattle grace. the two could be heard arguing a mile away. george and another resident tried breaking up the fight but one of the guys pushed george who tripped on someones foot, landing on his back but he had also hit his head. nurses rushed to his side and got him onto the gurney and bringing him into an exam room. one person called for an attending while the other called for his wife callie.

as they preformed tests on the conscious george o'malley, they found that he was bleeding from the back of his head. they sutured him up as they waited for the attending to give the say to preform an mri or even a cat-scan to check for internal bleeding.

Callie was just dropping off Morgan and Taylor off at the daycare, she'd only been back to work for a week now. She loved having Taylor, having an infant in the house. It was great for her. Yeah, she was tired but she wouldn't change it. She knew George wanted more kids, she did as well. But for now, she wanted Taylor and Morgan older before they tried again. She kissed both of her children and then started to walk out of hte daycare when she got a page to go to the pit, 911. She took off running, probably for a trauma, she wasn't expecting the trauma to be George.

As she got to the pit she saw George on the ground. "What happened?!" she yelled, running to her husband's side. "George, baby, are you ok?!"

george knew that someone was paging callie. of course he wanted to say no but he could not do that. callie would want to know if he was injured in anyway. she hasn't been back to work long and the last thing she needs is to be by george's side when she should be working. george recognized callie's voice immediately. "callie." he called out. he had yet to blackout, so it is unknown whether he has a concussion or not but they would just have to wait and see. "i'm fine, a little hit to the head is no big deal." he told her, not needing callie to be worrying about him. george is a big boy and can take care of himself. he does not need his wife around him at all times, though he knows it will take a lot to pull her away from his side if he gets admitted into the hospital or even at home.

Callie sighed. "I know, but I worry ok. Last time one of us fell our daughter was killed. I worry. Just let me worry. You're having a scan done even if you dont want it." she said, not letting him even say a word. "Don't move either, not until they get a gurney."

[Dr. George O'Malley]

"don't worry so much about me." george felt like callie should not be worrying about him. they have five kids, she should be worrying about them more than george even if he got injured. "i'm a doctor. i can move if i want to move." telling her that was probably a bad idea but george did not care. he was a smart doctor, though he may have gotten injured he does not care that much.

"George Michael O'Malley! You are a doctor and I'm am your wife. You will not move from tehis gurney until, you are givent eh all clear. No someone get him to radiology to ge the MRI." she said, yelling the last part to anyone standing close by.

knowing it was a bad idea to tell callie that he can move if he wants to move. "callie." george said, holding out his hand, wanting to be connected with callie one way or another. "i'm fine. i'm awake, i haven't been dizzy, i wasn't unconscious at anytime. i'm fine." he told her, trying to prove a point even though he had no idea if he was able to when it comes to callie.

"And we both know that that doesn't mean shit. Lookm what happened to natasha richardson. You are gettin the damn MRI, and i'm not going to take no for an answer. Just go get the damn thing and put my mind at ease." she said, trying not to yell at her husband. He was so stubborn some times!

"okay cal, take a chill. i'll go get the MRI." he told her, not wanting to fight with her. he knew he could not win a fight against callie, it was basically impossible. "do you have anything to do? surgery or anything?" george did not want to keep callie away from whatever work, patients or surgeries she may have to do at that moment. he would be okay. if anything was wrong they would page her.

Callinshook her head. "No, I had one minor surgery today and unless a trauma comes in I'm free sans charts and rounds." she told him as she held his hand. She hated being away from Taylor for so long but she knew that she had to go back to work. Right now george was Herbmain concern. The daycre would page her if they needed hher.

"and the kids are fine?" he asked, knowing if they were not he would have been paged by the daycare or even by callie. he just wanted something to keep his mind off of all of this. he loved the hospital but just not from a patient point of view. working during a shift is nice at times, he enjoys his job of course some days are better than others. "hey cal, why don't we go on a vacation or something with the kids." an idea had popped into his head and he hadn't given much thought about it but just threw it out there.
