Word among those with flat teeth, a substantial tax burden, and empty bellies is that a sort of soup kitchen (for want of a better term) has opened in the old monastery/current city hall.

It only operates for a couple hours a night [8ish to 10ish, assume it's staffed by an NPC if no player is there] and the soup tends to be long on broth and short on flavor... but it's better than nothing. And presently, there is a great deal of nothing going around.

The workers vary, but include an old snow leopard, a young snow leopard hybrid, a deaf femme feline, a rat priestess, and an axe wielding fox femme who will look very, very sternly at anyone who attempts to cause trouble for the operation.

There is no charge. There is also no meat, though carnivores are not otherwise discouraged.

A note, Allyssa has decided, instead of selling the herbs she brought from home, to put them all toward the feeding effort, and she helps prepare it, serve it, or clean up after it... Consider her NPC'd if I'm not here for it.
Unfortunately, none of the grain she brought is soup material, but she'll see about asking atheria to let her borrow an oven to turn it into bread. Whatever is left over... Atheria can have. She was going to sell it... but at a time like this, it just doesn't feel right in her heart. She won't be rejecting of compensation, though she'd be incredibly flattered.

... she'll have to leave town soon after she runs out, though, and might be gone for a while, sadly; she lives rather far away, and her greenhouse needs tending.
