The Dogan was a fallen empire, but like the Romans in Ancient times, through the ability of being flexible and strength of its members, it would rise again. And rise better than ever. For it was the Dogan's turn to hold all the cards, the monstrous tyrants known as the Ti'Khara had seen the last of their great days leave with their demented Alphess.

With tiny paws, Chicago carved out her route in silence. Tall ears stood perked on her skull, taking in the mid-evening's activity with caution. She slipped like silk through the trees, like a swan who mastered land. Her pretty little head dipped down to the ground, sniffing in hopes of raising an old scent trail that never even existed.

She took over a pack that she knew little about, well rather, little about who was in it. Thanks to the floods and wars, members of the Dogan had been scattered for some time now. But as her bright amber eyes took in the scenery, the wolfess decided it was now or never. Not even pausing in her silent trek, she thrusted her head upwards and let out a single, well toned note. The message was clear: It was time to gather the pack.

The young assassin made a bee line to the giant tree known as the Dinesh Abre. After circling it a handful of times, she settled in the front. Taking a proud stance, Chicago stood there in all her youthful glory and waited for the arrival of the pack.

They where not born Dogan, but it ran deeper within their viens then they knew. Takara, in all her dark beauty stood a top large hill, holding her head high. Her colorless eyes showed her courage, and strength, and how bitterly happy she was to be back in hr birth lands. Ofcourse, her and her brother could not, and would not return to their birth pack. They had been cast out by the very brute that linked them to these lands, the lands of the Dogan. She closed her eyes and lifted her black maw to the skies, sniffing the air. She could smell another wolf, apart from her own brother Keeran who was just behind her. The smell was familar, but only very faintly. A smell from her childhood, she was sure of it, but as to who, she was clueless.

Her ears pricked as the same wolf she smelled howled, calling the Dogan to reform as a new pack. Takara cast a glance at her brother, who was larger then she, much larger, but the two shared a deep bond, stronger then your average sibling bond.

"Come, brother. We can not go to our birth pack, but we can go here." Takara instructed, as she began to move. The toned slender body carried her quickly, each step quiet, and elegant. Each stride was taking with natural grace. Raising her maw to the air once more, the carbon copy of the pretender sourced out this mysterious new Alphess. If this wolf truely was someone from her childhood, then they would see the resemblance in the sibling pair to their mother and father.

She spied the wolfess from a distance at first, down wind to make sure her scent was not caught. She eyed her, trying to place where she knew this girl, who looked no older then herself. After a few moments, the silent, hiding black princess showed herself, stepping out of the shadows, seeming to appear from thin air. she starred into the amber eyes of this wolfess, and tensed her face. So familar, yet so foreign...it frustrated her.

"Madam, I have come to heed your call to reform this pack. Indeed, I and my brother where not born to it, but our family history is centred from this very pack. We are the decendants of a brute who was born to this pack, but sold away by his mother. We seek to join your new pack, if you deem it acceptable, Madam. My calling is Takara, and my brother, is Keeran." The wrds rolled of her tongue in her soft, delicate vocals. Takara took every procaution necisary to be respectful, pinning back her ears, lowering her body, and dipping her maw.

The brute stood just a bit behind her, his own leader, his sibling, his Takara. Her name was meant to pay tribute to their ex-pack's ex-alphess, who Keeran was well aware was unliked in these lands. Katara had been a tyrant, but he knew his Takara was nothing like her name sake, and nothing like her mother, or father either. Yes, she looked lik their mother with their father's pelt, but she was not like them in anyway in her mind. His sister would one day excell over both of their memories, and would carve their family of Ruhal in glory for their deeds, not shame like the rest of their bloodline. And Keeran would do everything in his power to make her, no, their dream come true.

"Come, brother. We can not go to our birth pack, but we can go here." Takara spoke, before heading off. The big, tall, black pelted monster nodded, as he went after her. Despite his big size, he too, like her, was a copy. He was the copy of his father, the dark and heartless brute called Coal. They bore the same build, the same pelt, the same eye shade, and the same silent walking trait. He looked like he should have made much more noise, bt the brute padded his paws in such a way that was natural to him, keeping his steps silent, allowing he, too, to hide in the shadows with his Takara. They blended in so effortlessly, merging with the shadows. He too, recognised her, though like his sister it was just a faint memory. He couldn't put name nor place to this wolfess, but decided to cast it out of his head, and follow his Takara as they stepped into the light, revealing their covert possition.

My calling is Takara, and my brother, is Keeran." Takara spoke, elegantly, and respectfully. Keeran also adopted her submissive stance, staying low, though still he was much taller then both of the feas.

"We, my sister and I, can bring a range of skills to your pack. I excel in hunting and fighting, Takara here is a good scout and tracker. Plus we both where born with the main trait of what the Dogan once was. We are shadow walkers, merging in with shadows to become invisible. We would be great assets to your pack, my lady, should you choose to take us." Keeran added in, trying to improve their chances of the strange wolfess accepting them in.

The wolfess was blessed with an uncanny ability of patience, which served her well in situations such as these. She stood there like a carved Greek statue, waiting away as the sun beat down, never blinking an eye. The one flaw to her stance was a habit inherited from her father himself--the tip of her tail would flick back and forth as if it were a metronome, keeping tabs on the seconds as they slipped right on by.

Her golden amber orbs were set to the South, staring deeply and fiercely into the woods that extended in that direction. Her thoughts briefly paused on her counterpart, Chamberlain. The male had been off for some time now, too stubborn to speak to her because she was in cahoots with a pack. But she wasn't really concerned, her attention quickly turned to a pair of warm scents that were headed in her direction fast.

A smile broke sharply on her tight jaw. So the angel's face could move after all. However, her body remained unmoving as two black figures came into distance. As they approached, Chicago did her normal deed: she sized them up, picking out every weakness there was, and quickly plotting ways to use their strengths against them.

The femme was in lead, looking small and sleek but beautifully deadly at the same time. Following was a rather large brute, who in every aspect was a clone of a face the Alphess knew very well. This uneased her a little bit, and she blinked a few times, staring heavily as the pair reared up to a stop in front of her. She didn’t at first remember these two, but rather remembered who they looked like. It was as if the old Gammas of the Ti'Khara were standing in front of her, the male years younger and the femme was back from the dead, sporting a new coat from the darkness of the underworld that held her.

These facts bemused the red as the black she-wolf took upon herself an introduction. The young pairs names is what she picked up first. Takara and Keeran. The first one sent a cold shiver down a back, and she couldn’t suppress the lowest of growls. Was this one of Katara's whelps? No, it wasn't. But it was one of her pack, her mind shifted through old memories as she nodded her head in a sort of approval, asking absent mindedly, "Descendents of the Dogan, eh? Care to share the story, I'm interested." Her voice was ice cool as a breeze, but attractive. like something you'd wish to devour.

Her gaze flickered in between the pair. The male --Keeran--talked next. Her lovely features turned to face him. and she gave a light nod. Her eyes locked on his as they seemed to smolder, her voice more warmer this time, more pressing, "Well dear Keeran, it seems now that the Dogan can't simply due without the alliance of you and your sibling under our wing." Her smile was inviting. a little too inviting.

And then her gaze broke off. She let her attention fall off to another direction as she added, "I'll assign ranks when more members show." They were accepted.

She was broken.

Absolutely destroyed.

Long ago she had such a bright future ahead of her. She was the aspiring heiress of a strong pack, with a loving family to support her, and a boy whom she shared a young love affair with.

All of that was gone.

Her pack was disbanded, her family members either missing or dead, and her love had left without even a good bye. The broken girl sat in the shade, her soft grey pelt clinging to her under nurshished body. Her great depression had driven her to neglect her health, barely hunting, or eating, just wandering aimlessly, in a sad daze.

Her long ears perked, as her excelent hearing picked up a distant howl. The Dogan...a pack that had been disbanded since her own birth was reforming again. Alona laid her head down, as she thought. At the rate she was going, she would never survive on her own. Plus the warmth and love of a pack...she missed it. Her legs shaking, as she pushed herself up, the weak beauty began her slow, determined march towards the lands that where so close to her old home.

It took her a while, for she was slow and weak, but eventually she was able to spy them all. A small wolfess, and two black pelted ones. But her attention was drawn away from then when she relised where the new lands where formed. The new pack had been formed upon old Nizan terratory, the same place where she and her beloved Fallen used to once play. Her eyes grew sadder, as she continued her slow pace towards them. As she got closer, the black brute caught her attention. It had been a trap! It must have been! That was the only reason she could think as to why the evil brute, Coal would be standing here.

"You Ti'Kharan scum! Coming upon my old pack lands, luring us out with the prospect of a new pack, a new begining. Thought that I would not recognise you, Coal? You brute, I remember you very well as you and your pack slaughtered my friends, and family. Well I fell for your trap, you filthy beast. Kill me, I have little will to live after what you Ti'Kharan's have robbed me off." She growled deeply, her hackles raised high.

Her mind was not working properly, from her blatent neglect of her health, and so she did not notice that the black brute she thought so surely was Coal did not smell like the Ti'Khara, nor that he was too young to be the brute he resembled.

"Descendents of the Dogan, eh? Care to share the story, I'm interested." She asked, but before Takara could begin to share the tale of her father's past, Keeran spoke up, "We, my sister and I, can bring a range of skills to your pack. I excel in hunting and fighting, Takara here is a good scout and tracker. Plus we both where born with the main trait of what the Dogan once was. We are shadow walkers, merging in with shadows to become invisible. We would be great assets to your pack, my lady, should you choose to take us." Her brother was giving thiswolfess their sales pitch, trying to assert them selves aove all others, to get them picked by the wolfess.

"Well dear Keeran, it seems now that the Dogan can't simply due without the alliance of you and your sibling under our wing. I'll assign ranks when more members show." Spoke their now Alphess. Takara bowed again, smiling up at her new ALphess.

"Thank you, madam. My brother and I shall serve you until our last days. As for the story of our heritage, it is still some what a mystery even to us. As far as my knowledge goes, our grandmother, a Dogan through and through, sold our father away for protection, before he was born. When he was but a few months old, the evil wretch known as Katara took her property, and our father was raised as a Ti'Kharan, where he met our mother, and we where born. My mother gave me the cruelest of curses, trying to show homage to the evil beast, she based my own name off of Katara's, making me to some extent resent my own calling." Takara spoke, glancing her colorless orbs away in shame. Not too soon after she finished the story, a wolfess stumbled upon them, she looked fragile, and malnurished. She glanced around the group, before her eyes flashed upon her brother and a look of recognition came over her face, before she turned suddenly, growling defensively.

Kill me, I have little will to live after what you Ti'Kharan's have robbed me off." The grey girl ranted. Takara frowned.

"Miss, you are gravely mistaken. My brother is not Coal, but his son. Please calm down, miss, we share your hate of Ti'khara." The words she spoke where sad, it saddened her to think of her affiliation with the Ti'Khara, which was why both siblings so greatly reveled in their other heritage as Dogans.

And so arrives Sable. happy.gif

--------------------

IC:

Finally! Activity within the territory. Sable wasn't sure just how long she'd set herself on watch, keeping track of the goings on of the territory closest to where she had set her base up within the roaming lands. Things had been so quiet recently all over the place that she had started to wonder whether the packs she had thought to be living in the area had only been her imaginings, not literal packs full of active wolves who tread the borders and kept their territories protected. It turned out their numbers, though very low, weren't altogether gone, and with this discovery came a renewed sense of purpose.

Her first intent on being in the area had been to find herself a pack to live in, something with structure compared to the tattered and broken group that had made up the rogues she'd been living with previously. The dark colored she-wolf still clung to the hope that a pack and its structure would somehow help her find her rightful purpose, though there was always that nagging voice, as there is with everything, telling her that it would do no good. She had all but fully blocked out the mental image of what had happened in that group of lost wolves, and the damage she had done to the trust she'd been bestowed, and secretly hoped no more such events would happen during the course of her lifetime.

Now was only a matter of deciding when to make her appearance. She'd heard the call made by someone within, authoritative and commanding, that requested the attendance of the pack, however many that should be. Pacing along the edge of the border the multi-hued wolf deliberated with herself, frowning gently in thought. Should she just walk right in? She had no right truly to be on the territory, but if there was to be a meeting within would anyone really attend a call made at the edge of the border? No. She would need to go within the territory, and hope that she would tolerated instead of accused of trespassing.

Swiftly, she moved, running at an easy lope into the territory. Her tall, lithe frame parted the grasses with a soft, quiet rustle, her steps light and quick enough to possibly be imaginings of one's mind. The deeper into the field she ran, the stronger the scents grew to be. Perhaps the pack had been here after all, just tucked away in the very center. By the time the scents started to become somewhat distinguishable, she could hear loud growls and a raised voice up ahead, nearby a large and lovely looking tree. Were they here? She slowed to a quiet stalk and slid up through the grasses towards the group, listening and trying to see. Amber eyes could catch fragments of shapes, two dark, one oddly red, and another grey. Not wishing to cause a stir, she held still, but felt a growing fear that her presence, partially unknown to them, might suddenly look like an unwelcome intruder. Confused and uncertain, she held her position, eyes and ears alert and waiting to see what kind of response her presence would elicit, or if she would get one at all.

"Descendents of the Dogan, eh? Care to share the story, I'm interested." She spoke, as Keeran's head looked away. Discussing the past, least of all their father's past was not one of his favourite past times. "Well dear Keeran, it seems now that the Dogan can't simply due without the alliance of you and your sibling under our wing. I'll assign ranks when more members show." Her smile sparked another twinge of recognition, but again he still could not put his finger who she was. His eyes narrowed as she glanced away, he was trying so hard to remember her.

My mother gave me the cruelest of curses, trying to show homage to the evil beast, she based my own name off of Katara's, making me to some extent resent my own calling." His blue eyes turned uon his sister, starring at her compassionately, he knew very well the shame she carried upon her shoulders because of her name, she lamented it too him multiple times, after encountering lone wolves in their travels. The sound of her name amde most of them cringe, in either fear or hatred.

But his blue eyes soon parted from his Takara, and onto a grey pelted lady, slowly and weakly padding towards them. He did not recognise the wolfess, but as soon as they're eyes caught, she turned. She snarled, and growled, raising her hackles at them, Keeran impeticular.

Kill me, I have little will to live after what you Ti'Kharan's have robbed me off." She growled, the words etching themself deep into Keeran's soul. It broke his heart to see the hatred that this wolfess had for him, or more justly, his father. "Miss, you are gravely mistaken. My brother is not Coal, but his son. Please calm down, miss, we share your hate of Ti'khara." Takara spoke, her voice low and filled with sadness. Keeran's body shifted, as he let out a sad whimper.

"I am sorry Miss, for any harm my father has brought upon you. My name is Keeran, and indeed, I resemble the brute, but I too, share your hatred for him. I hate my resemblence to him, and indeed I hate that the sight of me has brought such emotions forth, Miss. My sister and I are no Ti'Kharan's, Coal kicked us out of the pack, when we where still just pups. He is a heartless, cruel beast and my resemblence to him truly is a curse upon myself. I hope you can find it in your heart to get past my appearance, for I swear I am nothing like that brute." Keeran said, his voice even echoing his father's in some moments of his speech. Keeran, like his sister, felt shame for something that was out of his control.

Takara's story was only half heard. The red lost interest in the bulk of it. Her attention flickered back with certain words and phrases. She wasn’t very familiar with the history of these lands, so any story she heard was carefully added into the small collection she held in her head. The end bit about names sort of caught her focus a little more than the rest. She piped up on that, "So I take it that you two are not fans of the Ti'Khara? Or rather, their key personality?" Fiery amber eyes glanced between the siblings as she added, "Even though that Mistress is MIA at the moment." This intrigued her. In a magnitude of ways. She knew Katara was revered, but how far did hate for that monster go?

When someone truly looses everything, it's noticeable. On the inside, they are wrecked to pieces, and on the outside, whether they wear their heart on their sleeve or not, it's written across their face in the boldest of ink.

This creature did not want to live. A gray femme was slowly approaching the scene. Chicago had her gaze locked on the broken spirit ever since her scent drifted down in the valley minutes ago. There was somewhere deep down in her heart that there was a ting of compassion for this stranger. Her ears folded back, the Alphess's face getting a bit softer as the fourth party member came upon them. The gray looked weak and weary, a kind heart that went through a little too much in life. Chicago took a step towards the other, there was some sort of motherly instinct left in after having a miscarriage, and it compelled her to not only feel sympathy, but make her want to help this poor soul, even if it was an older wolfess.

But the opportunity to be taken under the lead Dogan's wing and aided back to health was temporarily on hold. For before the red hued female could speak the gray burst out in such an accusation that made the young Alphess sit back in wonder. Her real personality shined back through as a grin crept on her lips, just waiting for the scene to play out in front of her. If she was lucky, maybe this gray would start a fight.

Takara stepped in though. Chicago couldn’t help her lips from pulling back and a light growl interupt. Why was the ebony femme getting in on not her business? But alas, the miniature Coal stepped up to the plate then. He explained to the gray what was what. The Alphess let them be, yawning a bit as she waited for encounter to be over.

When she saw it fit, she lifted her slender frame up and elegantly strode into the middle of the three, being sure to be the center of everything. Which her head held high in dominance, she settled on looking at the gray, "You just met the two newest members of the Dogan. And I'll warn you now, never again attempt to threaten my pack, or we may very well act in violence." Her amber eyes shifted to her two black allies, gesturing a cute smile and wink. "I think we're going to have to put a ratty old collar or something on Keeran here, we can't have you stressing out all our visitors with your father's resemblance, now can we?" her voice was playful.

But she got distracted fairly easy again. Another scent was drifting into the area. The tip of her tail was flickering about in that metronome fashion as the new femme rustled the grass with her approach. The new comer was a tall thing, with a pleasant coat the held multiple colors. But she seemed cautious, worrying that her approach might cause a stir. Chicago liked this, it instantly made the Alphess appreciate the respect the loner must have. With a smirk set strong on her angel like face, she spoke gently, "Hello stranger, welcome to the party." A light chuckle rumbled in her throat. Sparing a glance back to the gray, but quickly refocusing on the newest guest, she continued, "What you ladies see before you is the Dogan pack in its entirety. Now, seeing as you two both came here to this very spot where I called together this meeting, I assume you have business to do with us. So humor me with some introductions or else book it off our land before I count to ten." Her smile was strong.

"Miss, you are gravely mistaken. My brother is not Coal, but his son. Please calm down, miss, we share your hate of Ti'khara." The words from the young wolfess sparked the cogs in her head to move, as she turned her eyes again to the brute. It was Coal...but a younger version. This was not the brute that aided in the slaughter if her pack, but his spawn. "I am sorry Miss, for any harm my father has brought upon you. My name is Keeran, and indeed, I resemble the brute, but I too, share your hatred for him. I hate my resemblence to him, and indeed I hate that the sight of me has brought such emotions forth, Miss. Keeran stated, his face showing a sign of shame that would have once caused Alona's sweet, caring instincts to surface. But this was not the same wolf that once was, this was a broken doll.

"You just met the two newest members of the Dogan. And I'll warn you now, never again attempt to threaten my pack, or we may very well act in violence." The other, younger wolfess said. Alona starred at her, her eyes narrowing as she openly gazed at the new wolfess. She chose to hold her tongue, for now. "I think we're going to have to put a ratty old collar or something on Keeran here, we can't have you stressing out all our visitors with your father's resemblance, now can we?" The words next spoken drew Alona's attention to a lone wolfess, hiding among the tall grass. "Hello stranger, welcome to the party. What you ladies see before you is the Dogan pack in its entirety. Now, seeing as you two both came here to this very spot where I called together this meeting, I assume you have business to do with us. So humor me with some introductions or else book it off our land before I count to ten."

"You say you are Dogan's, but you, young alphess where not born a Dogan. I know this, because I was born in these here lands, and the lands you currently claim as Dogan, are infact the property of the Niza Pack. This tree was once said to be magical, I'm sure you don't know. Aiding in the healing of our sick, and wounded. I came to heed your call because I thought this would be a hope for my future, that maybe I would see a face that I once knew, and called a friend. I came to find a new beginning, but instead I am taken back to where it all began, back to where it all began to fall apart." Her voice trailed off as flashbacks of her last moments with Fallen in this place came back to her. They where playing, as usual, and happy. She loved him, but after that one, playful day, he vanished.

Alona looked back to the young alphess, starring at her once again. "I wonder, young alphess, have you ever lead a pack before? Has anyone ever taught you, or trained you to be a leader? You hold a role that is greatly reverred, and sought by many. It is a great pressure to be placed upon any wolfess' shoulders, let alone one as young as yourself." Her stare changed, from one of blank sadness to knowing. When it came to the pressure of being a future leader, being trained and primed for the job every day of your childhood, Alona knew it all. She knew about the pressure, and the worries. She had been taught everything about leading a pack, but her spirit lacked the will to do that now.

In that moment, Alona made the decision to never reveal to any wolf about her past, her title, her heratige. Looking away into the distance, the broken doll spoke once more, "I am sorry miss, if you feel I have been condesending. I do not mean it to seem like that. My calling is Alona, and I, a broken soul, come to you and ask to be taken in as a pack member. Indeed in my state, I can not offer much, but trust me Miss...I can offer you great wisdom and knowledge of the history of these lands until my body is back in shape." Alona's dead pan voice ended its speech once and for all. Still looking away into the distance. Alona took in a deep breath. She'd been running from her past, and her problems for far too long now. She had come home, and intended to face them, but in her own time. In her own time.

Her attention was set equally between the four before her. She couldn't let even just one go unwatched, that could result in disaster. Cause who could be trusted? She wasn't necessarily paranoid, just not willing to trust the group of wolves that was surrounding her. Even if she did know Keeran and Takara from back in the old days when they romped together as pups under the watchful eye of her aunt Jesique. Chicago saw the way them two kept looking at her. Their eyes both held this sort of strange wonder, as if they were trying to place exactly where this odd red and black pelted femme was from. This irritated her. Somewhere down in their minds, they remembered a tiny, delicate pup playing games with them back when they were all innocent. Chicago's father had often let her play with the Gamma's litter when her training for the day was done. She remembered the two black whelps quite clearly, but she didn’t particularly want them to remember her. A smile crept eagerly across her jowls; she'd have to keep them guessing for a while longer.

Her eyes settled on the gray. There was something about that wolfess. It was more than just that she was broken. But one could tell there was a great soul in there, someone who was meant to do great things., and that that someone was just covered up for now, lying dormant as the world kept going by. But this creature was brave, addressing the Alphess herself in an almost disrespectful manor about the naiveness she must own. This made Chicago smile.

Her tail was flipping about as if mechanical as her amber eyes beat into that of the gray's. She was settling for a moment before finally replying with, "And you my dear, were not born a Dogan either. I know this because you are far too young to have been of the original pack before it disbanded. And yet you are far too old to of been born to this very recently recreated pack." She said this with a sarcastic slur on the tip of her tongue. It was just a counter answer. But she quickly added, "But you are right. When the Niza and Mal merged together, it left two empty territories, we happen to pick the Niza's land for it's much richer in food and such." Chicago stood up, taking a step closer to the other, "And judging by your knowledge, you were a previous Niza yourself, huh dollface?" She took a quick sweep around before adding, "For which I'm sorry, I don't believe I see another Niza among us. "

There was something about this gray. She spoke her mind again, criticizing Chicago's ability to lead the pack due to her lack of knowledge and age. This caused a chuckle on the red's part. With a quirky smile of sorts, she responded, "Oh, and I suppose that you, miss, know all about leading a pack, right? Are you hear to council me? That or...challenge me to the title?" Her tiny feet started moving under her body, elegance made her a silent dove as she started to creep into a circular movement. She made a wide arch around the loner, and then continued to circle her slowly, sizing her up as she went. Coming up against her side, the red stopped to say gravely into the gray's ear, "I was trained to kill, not to lead. But today's world is tough, and this pack is in pieces. I gained this spot with force and any who dare try to possess it are going to have one hell of a fight on their hands." She kept moving after that, grinning hard as she continued to lightly circle the other before coming to a stop in front of her, sitting back down. "Besides, leading can't be that hard," everyone could tell there was sarcasm in her tone.

Finally, an introduction was given. Alona. That name was sure to be remembered. Giving a nod, the Alphess responded, "Well Alona, I admire your knowledge, and honesty, and most particularly your bravery. You're in; feel free to use all these land's sources to help your health. Oh, and I expect you to be with me quite a bit, I need some history to catch up on."

Glancing back at the other three, she straightened her posture up some and ended with, "By the way, you all can call me...." a pause, "Chicago."
