Condemned Entertainment is finally emerging from the shadows of Apocalypse and affiliating itself with the WarCraft III mods:
  • Apocalypse
  • Marvel Nemesis
  • Pirate Tag!
  • WarCraft III: World of WarCraft (Wc3:WoW)
Pirate Tag! is an already completed map by Ragingspeedhorn, however, Condemned Entertainment plans on improving it by adding bots with Artificial Intelligence to fill in empty spots so players can play in single-player or bots can fill in for players who leave the game.

Apocalypse has been under construction by Condemned Entertainment almost the entire time. Just not under the Condemned Entertainment name, until now. Hopefully with a larger and more organized team, the development of this mod shall proceed much faster and efficiently.

Wc3:WoW is an immense WarCraft III mod which is in need of assistance. Condemned Entertainment is now here to fill in the spot! However, we wish to lay low for a few days longer until the website is finished and when our development team is more assembled here. We plan to help finish Wc3:WoW faster.

As for Marvel Nemesis, that is a side-map which isn't necessarily of great importance or of high priority to us. However, we plan on recontinuing it some time after we finish another one of our mods.

As for the news about our website and forum, the website is still under heavy construction by esb. The forum, however, is declared to be done and will be publicly announced and promoted once the website is completed. There are still some minor fixes needed on the forum, but they will come around soon enough. For now, feel free to post feedback and criticism in the forums!

The website was finished yesterday - thanks to esb - and so far it works fine and we've had no complaints about it yet. Some of the information on the website is outdated and a couple of the links do not work properly. But do not fret for we are well aware of this and should have it all fixed by tomorrow. It's a new website anyway; what can you expect?

The Media page is currently empty because we have no content worth putting in there yet. Eventually after other important problems with the website and forum have been resolved, we may decide to start putting screenshots of our projects in the Media page. In the future, the Media page will also include downloadable files such as Wallpapers, Open BETAs of our projects, Documents which include useful information, and more!

Condemned Entertainment will be losing a little bit of its focus for a few days by focusing more on the website and forum rather than all of our projects combined. This short period of time while we're not concentrated on our projects should be over with before Friday. Right now, even the logo of Condemned Entertainment is a focus of ours.

This doesn't mean that we're not working at all! Our development teams are working hard and are thoroughly rechecking their work to ensure that it works properly in-game, however, some of this focus may be drawn to the actual team itself. But like I said, it'll be over very soon.

Condemned Entertainment plans on working very hard on Wc3:WoW for a few weeks, then we may either split the effort between Wc3:WoW and Apocalypse or focus on Apocalypse for a few weeks after working hard on Wc3:WoW.

Apocalypse is still moving pretty slowly, but we're still getting organized with Condemned Entertainment and its big move. Progress is expected to move faster pretty soon, probably around this weekend, so the inactivity and lack of news about it shall change shortly.

Wc3:WoW is another project which is moving, but not as fast as he had intended. Or is it?... there's a of progress being made with the modelers and triggerers. A new Tauren player model can be expected to be made sometime this month, no exact due date, and the Inventory/Equipment system along with a bag system is still under heavy construction, but so far its looking great and working equally as good too.

Marvel Nemesis is, as you may hopefully know, not moving at all. However, plans to recontinue it with a lot of triggering to back the gameplay up are being devised. The project is expected to be recontinued some time this summer.

As for our game which we plan to begin creating after Apocalypse and/or Wc3:WoW reaches their first Open BETA, we're setting out to find talented C++ and C programmers as well as modelers, animators, and texture artists to prepare the development team to begin their efforts. More information about the game and the team behind it will come soon...

Wc3:WoW is moving along well and is still strong. Saitek009 is doing some amazing work and at an amazing speed for such a large system. In fact, he's doing multiple new things with Wc3:WoW before he takes a small break: He's making an Inventory System, an Equipment System (And a Weapon/Armor Attachment System), a Bag System, he's importing a few new spells into the campaign created by Av3n, a Looting System, and is working with making items - mainly with making the items work with his Inventory/Equipment Systems.

He's been developing these systems nearly every day for hours and hours straight. Not only that is impressive, but his dedication to the work and proudness of it is astonishing. Saitek009 is truely beginning to really shine.

Once Saitek009 finishes all that, he'll take a short break from Wc3:WoW and will aid other projects such as Pirate Tag! (Led by Ragingspeedhorn) and Gangsters (Led by esb) with his great triggering skills and abilities. After he finishes with helping those two projects, he will most likely be assigned to Apocalypse or back to Wc3:WoW. Most likely his attention will be drawn towards Wc3:WoW to fix newly found bugs and other known bugs that were reported by Closed BETA testers.

PS: Don't forget that Wc3:WoW will soon launch its private BETA to Beta Testers of Wc3:WoW some time this month. The launch depends on when Saitek009 finishes all the new systems and work on it.

The website's Media page will not only have a bunch of screenshots to show off our projects, but we'll also have a downloadable Pirate Tag! map as well. Version 1.04b will be the version to download, but 5.0 may be ready for download within a month or two. Along with Pirate Tag! being released on our site, we might also release a couple models for WarCraft III that were used in Pirate Tag! as well. We still await permission from the model creator to do so. Pirate Tag! is also an unprotected project, so feel free to poke around and see how it was made. Ragingspeedhorn gives no permission to people to recontinue the project.

The Tauren Model for Wc3:WoW has been put on hold temporarily because the modeler is currently modeling something else that is more important (Not for Wc3:WoW, though) and so we'll just have to wait a bit more than we desired before its ready to be shown off and used in Wc3:WoW.

Marvel Nemesis might be considered being recontinued some time next month! So all of you Super Hero and Super Villain fans out there keep your eyes open for the latest, here at Condemned Entertainment Forums!

A few minor corrections, version number being 1.4b, next being 1.5. The 2 models there is should be downloadable at Wc3c and Hive and the skin was made especially for the project. Also if anybody wants to they are free to make their own versions of the map, it doesn't bother me.

Condemned Entertainment is searching for C++ programmers. Do not ask why. If you know C++ well and are experienced with using it, please contact our current support E-mail at: CondemnedEntertainment@hotmail.com
We will respond within a couple days.
You can also post in the Apply Here section of the forum as a C++ programmer. We're also accepting C programmers, lua programmers, and python programmers. But C++ is what we're strongly dedicated to looking for.

Wc3:WoW is moving better and we're planning to have the Closed BETA launched some time this weekend or next weekend. We'll keep you all posted on what's going on.

Apocalypse is also still moving, but its progression rate is unexpectedly decreasing. We'll try to work faster, but don't expect many updates any time soon.

Crake_J, wow... Take it easy dude. How do you manage to work on all these projects on the same time? It's like the crew is spread all over the place. I could probably check one of those Faroese gaming site. They seem experienced within C++ programming and modeling.

I've been managing more than one project pretty well for over a year. I've gotten the hang of it and it's not really that hard for me since I rarely have anything better to do but govern my development teams. Don't worry about it. I'm not losing focus.

If you can direct me to the programmers whom you think may be interested or direct them to me, that'd be really nice and I would be very greatful. But keep in mind that the programmers must be experienced with making a 3D game or know how to.

Condemned Entertainment's team is growing and its popularity is slowly, however quite steadily, increasing as we announce more and more news of our purpose and our projects. There's some big news to be announced some time this summer. News of a large decision we've made which will turn our path in a whole new direction from modding... to something else.

Wc3:WoW has launched a Closed BETA on Friday and so far the results are quite good. Most of the BETA testers who've recieved the BETA have provided proper bug reports, a handful of them are helpful too, which of course is very good news. We still have a few more BETAs to be sent, so those of you who've been assured you'd be in the Closed BETA team, please wait patiently and wait a little while longer.

New Logo

Our newest employee, TripX, has created a new and improved logo for Condemned Entertainment: Check it out here!

As you can see, it is much better looking and actually looks like a logo! TripX is also working on an animated version with music running in the background that we can use for the intros of our games and our new website which should be up some time next week. When it is finished, we shall post it!

Condemned Entertainment's new website is under heavy development now and should be up some time around this weekend. I will definitely keep you all updated with the progress on the website. Some things we plan to do with the new website is have a page for each project we are running that will serve mainly as a profile page which will contain information regarding the project such as gameplay info, features, storyline summary, and more.

Wc3:WoW's development focus has shifted from triggering functions and complex systems to modeling weapon and armor attachments and fixing reported bugs from Wc3:WoW's closed BETA testers. Not a lot of significant progress is expected to be made this month while Saitek009 is absent. However, since we won't be so blinded by creating big complex systems for the time that he is gone, we'll try to make good progress with fixing bugs and getting other small objectives accomplished such as modeling weapon and armor attachments and possibly make more doodad models.

Bob27 has started to cook up another Wc3:WoW trailer which will not feature much of what we had promised in the past, but instead, will reveal terrain and a few in-game stuff as well as action-filled sequences. I haven't seen the trailer yet, so I can't provide the details of what it contains. If you have any questions about it, ask him yourself. One thing Bob27 said was that you can expect this trailer to be more entertaining and interesting than the first one. When will the trailer be finished? No idea. There is no due date for it.

We have a new affiliate...

Indigo Illusions is currently a team of two very well educated and experienced programmers who are the original creators of the Sakura game engine, an engine which they've spent a little over five years working on! Condemned Entertainment has a pretty tight connection with Indigo Illusions and has had a connection with them for a little over a year. They wish to help Condemned Entertainment prosper, as we hope to help Indigo Illusions the same way. I encourage you - especially those of you who make games - to check out their website and get yourself familiar with their works. smile.gif

We expect Indigo Illusions to prove itself to be a great asset for Condemned Entertainment and forsee a great future with them!
